Macs Chippy in Larne

Just got chips and hot wing and wings were great but the chips were awful all hard and couldnt any if them

Absolutely beautiful meal, steak baguette, steak just melted in the mouth, everything well seasoned. Son got chicken filet burger was fantastic. Youngest got a box 2, everything was cooked well. Definitely no complaints, would give pics but nothing left clean plates all around.

Food is absolutely delicious! Genuinely the best fillet burger I’ve ever had. Will be back again!

First5 class grub, fantastic menu and excellent staff

Really bad experience tonight, had my family over visiting and phoned through my order. Was told 20 minutes, so after 20 minutes I headed down to Macs - I approached the counter and paid for my food, I then stood for over 30 minutes in the shop where my dad asked for an update on the order and it had been sat on the hot plate almost the whole time!!!! Not only did we wait, one of our meals was missing and all the food was luke warm and soggy. Extremely disappointing and expensive for their mistake.

Love this place but the ‘card machine permanently broken’ really annoys me

Placed an order for delivery tonight when it finally arrived we were missing a regular chip when I phoned them I was told by a very rude member of staff that they couldn't send the delivery man out with a portion of chips (which they forgot) but will take the cost of my next order after the way I was spoken to there won't be a next order.

For anyone coming to Larne you have to experience Mac's Chippy. It was absolutely delicious. The burger was the highlight of my trip, this establishment needs to be rated number one on trip advisor for things to experience in Larne. The bun was perfection, the burger was exquisite, the onion ring was magnificent and the sauce was to die for. As I am writing this review I am reminiscing about the first bite of the burger, then the second bite and sadly the last bite. Now I am getting upset as the burger is ate and I will have to wait to the next time I come back to Larne to taste this burger. Farewell Mac's Chippy, I will always remember you.

Been going to Mac's for years,and usually everytime is really good,but utterly disappointed tonight!! Chips weren't overly hot,the zinger burger was like rubber! Even my chicken burger wasn't great,would have brought it all back except I was going straight to work.

So finally called to this little chippy for their christmas chip and it really didnt disapoint. it was super tasty, the gravy is smashing and iv never had stuffing like it. the only downside is they wouldnt let me use the staff toilet but i will definitley be back for more food. yum yum yum

Honestly this has to be the best turned around chippy EVER!! Food selection is unreal. The menu is the most unique menu iv seen in years... iv been meaning to leave a review for weeks but seriously you need to try this spot

Easily the best chippy in Larne. Highly recommend the peppered chicken fillet burger. Cooked to perfection & fast service as well. Exactly what we needed nipping in on our lunch break. Superb Mac's. well done 👌

While the staff are very friendly in this chippy, the food wasn't hot on it. The chips had a very weird taste towards them while the sausages weren't nice either. Good location but it could have more parking available.

Really great food with amazing service!

Went to get a chip last night (19.02.2016) and some fat kid was blowing smoke from an e-cigarette across the counter into the face of the 2 women serving. They did nothing to stop him. The place was full of smoke. I've been eating from there for years but I won't be back after seeing that.

Absolutely disgraceful - I ordered scampi, only to get about 8 frizzled up pieces of batter with a gooey fish mess inside (definitely not scampi). They actually mixed the 'scampi' through the chips (usually they are placed pride of place on top of the chips - in other chip shops). I think they were trying to hide them. They tasted disgusting also. I have a good mind to contact the food standards folk about this!! The chips tasted horrible also as if they had been reheated!

best for service and food is a delight.
