The best restaurants in Altofts and Whitwood Wakefield Yorkshire and The Humber

We phoned to see what time La Gondola was closing at and were told in 2 hours. We arrived 20 minutes later to be told, they were tired of cooking for the day, so were closing up. Never again will I step foot in there. Rude woman.

Visited yesterday, very pushy staff. I like time to spend looking but seemed to be pushing too much to buy so went without buying anything. I wont visit again.

Doboy Donuts is an absolute gem! Their donuts are not only beautifully crafted but also packed with incredible flavor—each bite is a treat. Extremely disappointed after using and recommended these guys always but called in tonight and was different staff member overcharged me which I queried after and was told was cos I'd asked for XL ( which always do ) anyway I've left it then taken a menu home which as added insult was cold due to not been boxed properly and no need compare price to menu anyway which I don't even pay when get delivered cos receipts stuck on carrier bag which shows obvs I should have been given change cos I was charged £10 , receipt says cpl quid less near enough which is a shame cos til now I used them regular but for something so little spoils things .

So I walked in to collect my order, at the back of the shop were 2 members of staff, there were a big bucket which the staff member were squeezing meet probably chicken together with his bare hands, no gloves then putting it in a pan, be the last time I order from there.

Food was great and arrived early but after not being able to find my house and then making me go to meet him, the delivery driver had an attitude when finally handing over the order.

Pizza burnt and really salty. Sorry never again

Best takeaway around here. Teh food is always lovely. The staff are amazing too. It’s my regular place to order from because they never disappoint. Highly recommended.

The meal (doner meat and chips) itself tasted great. However the portion size was poor, paid for a large portion, it certainly wasn't that, at best it was a medium portion going by the sizes elsewhere in the country. Such a shame as the meal would have been worth 5 🌟 if the portion sizes were a fairer size!

Food was digusting, noodles were just in a block no sauce so dry like cardboard. Chicken was boiled and very squidgy. Would not recommend.

Love this place for the best carvery around. The staff really have turned this place around. The food is great. Staff are lovely, friendly and helpful when needed. Also a good pint of Carling!! A pleasant afternoon all round.

Food took over 1 hour. And was cold. But the food was good. Just stone cold.

Be alright if number actually worked so could place an order

Just had the lamb chops with chips.very nice ,just enough spice on chops and chips not soggy like from some takeaways,salad was very fresh will definitely have again .My husband always gets the large kebab and always enjoys it.Fast delivery reasonably priced and really lovely guys in shop who are very polite and friendly.Would recommend ordering from here.
