We phoned to see what time La Gondola was closing at and were told in 2 hours. We arrived 20 minutes later to be told, they were tired of cooking for the day, so were closing up. Never again will I step foot in there. Rude woman.

Visited yesterday, very pushy staff. I like time to spend looking but seemed to be pushing too much to buy so went without buying anything. I wont visit again.

I ventured out in heavy rain and arrived at the Castleford shop 5 minutes before it shut. I was told by the girl at the counter they were shut and they couldn't sell any donuts. I pointed out it was several minutes before closing but she wasn't interested. It's ashame I have to write the review as their food and products are nice when they can be bothers to serve them! It was just very annooyibg I was clearly their before their closing time and I'd ventured out in heavy rain! Perhaps they need to pay their staff to 1815 so there's time to do a proper clean up and not turn staff away.

Food always comes without salad or dips even though it clearly states that all kebabs come with salad and dips and what we order is advertised under kebabs nothing worse than a dry kebab with no salad. when you phone up you just get fobbed off and they blame you for not stating you want salad in the comments lol is salad and sauce that expensive that they can't put it in the order regardless if you want it or not also the chips were under the hot meat so all gone soft and soggy We've been ordering grom them for years and over the last 6 months it's got that bad that we've decided we will not be ordering from there anymore unfortunately

Ordered a chicken Parmesan - meant to come with chips and salad. No chips delivered, so just chicken and salad for £10. Not worth the hassle of ringing up and waiting half an hour for a portion of chips.

The meal (doner meat and chips) itself tasted great. However the portion size was poor, paid for a large portion, it certainly wasn't that, at best it was a medium portion going by the sizes elsewhere in the country. Such a shame as the meal would have been worth 5 🌟 if the portion sizes were a fairer size!

food has been really fresh as always, and i always enjoy a nice sweet chicken korma. however this is the second time the korma has come where it's been very spicy. it does ruin it when a korma isn't supposed to be spicy. other than that happy with the food

Just had the lamb chops with chips.very nice ,just enough spice on chops and chips not soggy like from some takeaways,salad was very fresh will definitely have again .My husband always gets the large kebab and always enjoys it.Fast delivery reasonably priced and really lovely guys in shop who are very polite and friendly.Would recommend ordering from here.

Cant fault these lads at all, good prices, good food and good offers. Donner Calzone is beautiful and very well priced in relation to rest of takeaways in cas, delivery is always prompt and any issues always resolved as quick as possible without any fuss. One of the best in town
