Arived in 20 minutes terrible excuse for a Indian tasteless and God knows what substituted the chicken..

The chicken tikka masala is exceptional! 10/10 owner / staff are polite and they know the customer matters by making a dish to your requirements on time. 🤙🏻

I ordered a chicken tikka masala with rice and chips. The amount salt was unbearable. I couldn’t eat it, passed it to the other half and she couldn’t eat it either. They said sorry, no refund.

First time eating here tonight, and the food is amazing! All freshly cooked in front of you plus nice staff too.. will definitely be returning

Ordered few different curries and have to say it was absolutely lovely. Extremely well cooked. All the flavours of the spices came through. Top marks to the chef and team. Amazing service from these guys. Most definitely ordering from here again.

Eastern Spice special absolutely amazing.

Easily the best Indian takeaway in Castleford, love their chicken kebab and mushroom masala. Little bit more expensive than other places but it's easily justified by how nice it is.

Best takeaway in Castleford. Welcomed by name when I walk in and not just by one or two of staff but more. Recognised on the phone when I order. Once was eating in a restaurant and was acknowledged by one of the family. Have used for over 20 years and only go elsewhere if they are shut and we’ve decided on curry for dinner. Love the food, love the service, long may they continue.

Travelled to Eastern spice after a recommendation! The food was very very good, also was able to see the food being cooked so you know its fresh. They were happy to accommodate for any changes you wished to make to the food, really good quality food and cracking service will recommend to others!

Ordered from here for years lately last few been really poor when phoned to speak to them he was very ignorant with me and told me not to order no more and put phone down on me chips not cooked properly onionbaja full of grease it fell through the bag absolutely disgusting went in bin

Chicken tikka korma tasted like someone had spewed and mixed it in with the sauce. Bits of the chicken tasted like rubber and made my back teeth feel like they were sticking together whilst chewing, chips smelt slightly foidy moy moy...👎

First time we have ordered takeaway from eastern spice, the counter guy gave my younger daughter a small tray of the masala to try, she loved it, the chicken Rogan Josh was lovely, as was the chicken madras, we have a few other places to try however I will go back to eastern spice again, very enjoyable.

The chicken kababs are the best I've ever tasted and onion bajahs they are delicious would not go anywhere else

Shocking.. over cooked starters everything dried out.. curry ok but was a special at 8.50 in a small tray!!!!! Chips cold an foisty tasting will not return!

As usual best Indian takeaway in the country. Watched them cook it fresh, well wrapped to keep it hot, very friendly service hasent changed in 20 years.

Ordered mix grill, there were no onion bhaji's, no pakora's and no samosa which it said on menu they were and the meat was too tough to eat. Was like eating old rubber boots. Think i will give this place a miss in future

Really sorry to put a bad review but just got a order that cost over 25 quid which came a hour n half after it was taken. Came, cold, bland dry and tasteless plus was dripping with fat. Ordered from these before and wasn’t so bad. But this time has really let themselves down. Hope anyone who orders don’t get a bad meal like we did.

First time order from eastern spice terrible portion very small with curry came cold the chips were over cooked and cold everything was flat cold the buhna was terrible very bland will never order from them again ever

Went on recommendation and can quite categorically say that it was the worst curry I have ever had. Not only did they forget to put part of our order in, the curry was absolutely disgusting. Would never go back.

After 20 years of using eastern spice they left a sour taste. with an order incorrectly dispatched. Then 20 minutes to try and rectify it and failed big time.Attempting to pass the blame to us. Poor customer service.

Eastern Spice Castleford is a great little Takeaway has been established for years and makes great curries the shop is open so you can see the curries been made ,friendly and polite staff and makes the best curry in the area have been going for years and never disappointed

I ordered a med and large kebab. When I collected both looked same in sml/med container. When I asked if one was a large (considering the significant price difference between a med and large, not an unreasonable question) one of the staff emptied carrier said feel the difference in weight and then another member of staff joined in causing a scene in the shop made me feel uncomfortable in front other customers. Will never return and use other local friendly takeaways that appreciate my money. Most terrible service I've ever encountered.

Since being introduced to eastern spice in 2005 I will not go anywhere else for my takeaway. The flavour the quality is great. I can feel one coming on. Roll on Saturday it's been a while but get ready for my order. My favourite is chicken pathia on a stuff paratha

Tikka kebabs are mint. My favourite is chicken pathia with a stuffed paratha. Flavour and the the right heat is superb Always have my Indian take away from there.

Easily the best Indian takeaway in Castleford. The food is always spot on and the staff really friendly. I've been going here for years and never had a bad curry. Friends have also been amazed by how good it is after we've convinced them to give it a go.

First time we have tried this takeaway will not be going again. To start which establishment sends out burnt popadoms and tasteless curries absolutely gutted waste of money could have made better myself.

Absolutely delicious food. there tikka masala chicken was extraordinary. great look to the shop brings out the colour in my eyes. cant stress enough how lovely the food and people are. great after a long night out with the lads. love some asian food after a few bottles of ciroc pineapple and some redbull. the people aare absolutely amaz balls and treat you with the upmost respect. i would definitley recommend it after a night out and remember my fellow white people DONT GO IN DRUNK

Friday night takeaway is there really a proper indian takeaway in castleford we've just ordered chicken tikka off the bone it was just lumps of chicken painted pink no spice or flavour what so ever my husband ordered lamb tikka off the bone as a starter it came swimming in sauce and cucumber and haven't quite plucked up the courage to attempt the main yet if the starters are anything to go by it's in the bin 20 quid well spent.

Must be the best place for Currys in cas and the only place I know that does there own chips and not frozen. Looovely

I have used this take away for over 25 years,they are still as good if not better than when they started out,best curries in Castleford by far and run by a lovely family.

Get food from here all time for years and never bin a problem and it tastes lovely can’t say owt else (I recommend it )

Ordered a chicken madras from here for tea and the following day was ill I’ve never been back since. When I was in the shop I noticed raw meat out on the worktop in boiling conditions no wonder I was ill the hygiene standards are poor here as your meant to keep raw meat cool. This incident happened 5years ago and remember it like it was yesterday I’ve only just reviewed it on trip advisor as this takeaway wasn’t on before so new customers beware!
