The best restaurants in Altofts and Whitwood Wakefield Yorkshire and The Humber

We visit this cafe every Thursday since our first visit many months ago. The coffee is second to none and it has remained at this standard every week. The baking is to die for , a scone is a must for the coffee. Every one very friendly and you are not over charged. I would recommend this to anyone.

Called in for two Bacon sandwiches as we were in town visiting from the south coast.... in these Covid times the cafe is well set out..... great interaction with staff and top value food....... highly recommended

Both of us had Mediterranean Salad, shared Sweet Potato Fries. Really nice, healthy lunch, great tastes and good sized portions. Inexpensive too. Will definitely return.

One of the most delicious Thai food I’ve had.

Order a tuna mayo and tuna mayo salad to then drive home to see it was tuna sweetcorn. Had to drive back to the cafe and explained it was wrong and got no apology. Won’t be using again!

Had broken down on the road sadly in my black golf. From 7pm to closing time at 10. Hospitality left me speechless as we’re inviting and friendly and very helpful. They had lemonade and Coke and snacks such as chocolate and crisps which didn’t leave me felt out. Genuine loved pub run by some great people worth a visit. Thanks so much again if owners are reading this.

Had a lovely meal with excellent service, friendly and helpful to us all even though it was very busy with Christmas diners. Good choices and cooked deliciously, thank you.

Lovely place to meet with friends

The food is okay it’s a bit overpriced but tastes nice, the issue I have is the fact that I ordered at 2pm and didn’t get my order of a small pizza and cookie until 2 hours later, sadly due to this I won’t be ordering here again.

When in for food from the electric kitchen and a pint. Spot on. Food excellent beer ok.. food a lot better with more choice on the menu.

Been a few times now for my work lunch as I work nearby. Always great, tend to go on a Friday lunch time. And good prices too. Would recommend to anyone.

Decent value traditional food and very popular with the older generation. Outside seating if the weather is decent.

Good beers and friendly atmosphere.
