How sad. This place has declined steadily for the past 10 years. No decent beer, no atmosphere! Total rip off bottled Sam's. No investment in decor or beer from decent breweries. Feels like slow death!

First visit to the pub for 50yrs!! Yup, changed a bit, but lovely olde world pub, and super Sam Smiths beers, doubt I'll last the next 50yrs haha. Worth a visit.

Traditional real ale pub, renovated over last few years with re-cycled materials giving snug, cosy feel with open fires. Great range of beers served from the wood and traditional ciders. Occasional music nights, usually Friday and open sessions on Sunday afternoons. No food, loud music or TVs. Pet friendly. Superb locally produced pickles, preserves and eggs can also be purchased. 👍🍻🍻

Quick early visit just opening but 5 people there easy pop in when shopping as town centre lots of history here Romans etc

Proper good old fashioned pub. Always some good hand pull ales on, usually Stancils, plus a good selection of Sam Smith's offerings too. This isn't one of Humphrey's pubs though. So music and fun is allowed. 😁

Junction pub in castleford...friendly welcoming pub. Has live music. Its a steady night. Convenient if your local as im not myself...but would return to the venue again. Disappointment; there was a limited choice of spirit mixers. Appart from tht id recommend. 🖒

Good, old fashioned cosy pub, lively but at the same time not too rowdy and noisy like some others and there's not many pubs around like that these days so it's really refreshing when you're in the mood, great choice of their own ales and lagers instead of the usual commercialised brands you see in other pubs nowadays and great value they are too🙂

A fantastic real ale pub. The best beer selections are on a Friday night with usually between 4-6 different hand pulled guest beers on.

The Junction pub is a must visit for real ale enthusiasts. 2 minutes walk from Castleford train station the trains back to Leeds or Wakefield depart after 23:00, giving you plenty of time to enjoy their 'Beers from the Wood', which come from local breweries in Yorkshire and beyond. Well worth the trip.

A little reluctant to post because I don't want too many people to know what an absolute gem of a pub this is. Neil the landlord knows his beers and how to look after them. He is also passionate about keeping them and serving them from the wood. This weekend there is a beer festival with 20 beers served from the wood most of them on hand pull. The pub deserve the support of all those who are passionate about Real Ale.
