Roebuck's Coffee in Wakefield

We visit this cafe every Thursday since our first visit many months ago. The coffee is second to none and it has remained at this standard every week. The baking is to die for , a scone is a must for the coffee. Every one very friendly and you are not over charged. I would recommend this to anyone.

Such a friendly atmosphere in a nice setting. A great range of options available. I had a lovely tuna melt panini and coffee 😍

Lovely place with nice people. Home made scones excellent. Relaxed and very handy for bus station, train station and town.

if you love coffee try a flat white with an extra shot, it's as good as it could possibly be. friendly staff in a relaxed setting make it worth a visit.

This is a great place to call for a drink & a snack, the cappuccino and toasties are fab and they even do gluten free.

As a Castleford local, I have often passed this cafe but it's either been after it closed or when I've not had time to stop. Today, however, I decided to call in and am glad I did. The staff are very pleasant, my bacon.and mushroom sandwich was cooked to perfection and as a former coffee house manager the quality of the latte gets a big thumbs up from me! Every town has a hidden gem and this is definitely Castleford's! Thank you ladies, I'll definitely be back!

Excellent coffee, nice quiet place to relax. Good staff. The coffee is very good quality, although we did not eat there the food looked very tasty. Will be going again.

I've been using this cafe for a few months now. I sit and do work on my laptop which they are very happy to accommodate. They are happy to let me plug in to charge and they also have pretty decent speed free Wifi too. When I land I usually open up a tab. I'm normally here for about 4 hours at a time, so a tab makes things much easier as I can add coffees and lunch and pay for it all when I leave. The place is always clean and comfy and the staff really get to know you very quickly. It's great! I'm a bit ashamed as they all know my name, but I don't know theirs! This is more down to me being hideous at remembering names than anything. So if you're in Castleford and looking for refreshments or somewhere friendly and comfortable to work for a few hours, there is not better place than Roebucks. Very highly recommended.

If you are wanting a place to visit that offers good coffee fantastic food and home made cakes with a friendly atmosphere then roebucks is the place to go. The staff are so friendly and you are made to feel welcome from the moment you step into the shop.

Roebuck's is a fantastic place to be whether you're just calling in for a quick coffee, a cooked breakfast or whether you want one of their home made salads or sandwiches. The choice is great and the staff will tailor your order for you on request. The home made desserts are really tasty and freshly made..... I had the malteser cheese cake yesterday which was amazing!!!! Each time I call in there's always a friendly welcome, prompt service and amazing coffee and food. This place is a hidden gem on the edge of the town centre and well worth calling into whether you're a local or just passing through, making a solo visit or with family or friends....the friendly welcome is always the same and nothing is too much trouble for the staff......call in and enjoy!!!!

The café was a wonderful place to have a relaxed dinner and chat. Friendly and accommodating staff with a wide rang of sandwich type meals. Very reasonably priced, I will be back for more cheesecake!

Had a lovely lunch here with a friend. Excellent coffee, great large salad which was not you average supermarket concoction and to top it all off a superb fudge cheesecake. Will definately be making a return visit.

Called in AM on 12/05/2017. Bought 2 Lovely Scones a Cup of Tea and a Coffee . Lovely Clean place , Pleasant Helpful Staff. Its a great place. Comfortable , Clean Toilets , Parking close by too. We will use it everytime we shop at Cas- Vegas! Thanks all at Roebucks!

We have been here many times now. Very friendly and comfortable. We are sure of a good welcome. It's not far from Castleford bus station and is in a quieter area so always feels peaceful, always someone to talk to.

Roebucks is an amazing place. Fantastic coffee, lovely food, warm friendly atmosphereAnd staffed by lovely people who after a couple of visits call you by your first name and make you very welcome. They also have a good loyalty card scheme.We visit whenever we shop in Castleford which incidentally is a smashing little town full of bargains.

We have been a few times now. They are always friendly and the food is amazing. I love the brie and cranberry panini and the cheesecake was to die for. Hot chocolate is fabulous too. It's becoming a regular haunt.

Brilliant food. Very aware of allergies. Tiffin was yummy . Lovely atmosphere and beautifully clean .definitely worth a visit !

Great place, friendly people. Coffee is ground and gorgeous. Tea is refreshing. Food is prepared fresh and has that home made feel to their baking. Portions are reasonably sized. Jacket potatoes are delicious. They have an eating healthy award too which is wonderful. (But don't be disheartened if you love a bacon button cos they sell those too) If you have specific dietary needs they are sympathetic and will try to accommodate. It's run by a small friendly team made up of staff and volunteers. The shop itself is light, airy and relaxing. There is a Tv. Outdoor seating weather permitting and they'll even water your dog for free! (Handy in hot weather). Wheelchair accessible and there is a changing places toilet for the severely disabled. Staff are helpful and compassionate in that regard

I love the atmosphere at Roebuck's. It's run by volunteers and Salvation Army members, in memory of Steve who died a few years ago. Steve's family are the main contributors. There is an eclectic mix of comfy seating. A TV, usually quietly rolling the news in the background. The menu offers fresh bakes and light meals daily with excellent coffee amongst other beverages you'd expect in a coffee house. A great meeting place for friends. Roebuck's offers the personal touch, unlike major coffee chains, plus it can give them a run for their money with the quality of its food and drinks. If you go twice, it's likely to become a place where everybody knows your name.

We call into this cafe regularly, the taste of the coffee never alters it is excellent,the cafe is a lovely relaxing space and the staff are brilliant and very child friendly. The food and cakes are delicious. Would not hesitate in recommending this cafe to anyone.

Visited here a few days ago with a friend for the first time and I really enjoyed my meal. The staff are so lovely and gave us a warm welcome and the cafe it's self is very clean and tidy. We both had a wrap, I had coronation chicken and my friend had duck. They came with salad and crisps and were both very nice. Sadly, I didn't get to try and of the lovely looking cakes for sale but I definitely will do next time! Thank you to Steve and Marian for a lovely visit!

My husband and I love coming to this coffee shop as i am a coffee snob and this is the only coffee shop in the area that exceeds my expectations. They also do fantastic home made cakes that will make you forget any diet. I highly recommend this place

If you are looking for a bite to eat or just fancy a coffee to have a catch up with friends this is a great place to do it. All the staff are so welcoming & friendly.There is not a speciality coffee I haven't liked yet + the food is just fantastic. I would definitely recommend this coffee shop to anyone #5stars

Having gone to Roebuck's Coffee every week for over a year, I have only experienced fantastic coffee, cake and staff.The range of coffee and other hot drinks is ever growing and always made to perfection. The atmosphere in Roebuck's Coffee is always chilled out and friendly with free wifi available and loyalty cards available for returning customers. The food is amazing and definitely value for money! I'd recommend Roebuck's Coffee to everyone and anyone! 5*****

Nice little place to stop for a brew or quick bite to eat, Prices aren't bad either, I particularly enjoyed the Chicken pesto sandwich.

When in Castleford a visit to Roebuck's Coffee is a must. The coffee is excellent, made by well trained Baristas and served by friendly and helpful staff.All the food is freshly prepared and various breakfast dishes, light lunches, snacks, scones and cakes etc are all on offer at very reasonable prices. The staff do their utmost to meet individual needs and requirements and no one goes away disappointed.Roebuck's Coffee is situated on Booth Street in close proximity to both the bus and railway stations. So next time you are in Castleford pop in, you'll soon become a regular. I did!!

Roebucks is a great independent cafe in Castleford with a comfortable and homely decor. The cakes are homemade and are all absolutely delicious (I am in the process of trying them all to make sure)! There is always lots to choose from and they never fail to impress. The standard of the food is very high with good sized portions and quality ingredients. They even have gluten free options :) Drinks are fairly priced and I must recommend an iced tea! I work in the office opposite and in the warm weather I have been on frequent iced coffee and tea runs for the team, lots of syrups to add too and I think we may have just about had them all ... The staff are an absolute delight and are very helpful. We love Roebucks its definitely worth a lunch out.

I love this place! The atmos is calm and pleasant and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. A wide range of foods are available and the coffee is TOP NOTCH - a good deal better than the big name high street brands.

This is a great place to relax and drink a decent cuppa. Doesn't matter if you are on your own or a group of friends you get a friendly welcome and food is certainly value for money.
