All home made food ,savoury and sweet pies are amazing

What a great, little gem of a cafe this is. It’s a shame we don’t live closer but when I’m working in the area I will be coming in for lunch. I had a beautiful steak pie and my wife the quiche. My only disappointed that you had run out of corned beef hash. Absolutely bargain prices, friendly service and food was delicious, especially the scone for my wife.

Amazing breakfast. Staff are so welcoming and attentive. Such a great experience here, will definitely be back! A great family run business. :) P.S. if you visit- try Joanna's home made sweet treats. OMG- to die for!!!

Been in today with my husband and children ! This cafe was absolutely spotless, possibly the cleanest cafe that I have been in , the food was cooked perfect, the service is also to a very high standard really welcoming and friendly , the home made sweet selection is great and all taste soooo good ! Would highly recommend a visit if you are in town .

Been at blue cup before , and will go again and again. Staff and joe are very friendly and helpful. The portions quite big. The sausages are meaty and don’t taste cheap or fatty like in other places . Can’t fault it! Go visit. Highly recommend it. 👍

Fantastic cafe, very friendly, food consistently excellent and very reasonable. They have lots of regular customers and you soon see why. we go every weekend after trying all the cafés in Castleford we wouldn't go anywhere else.They know our breakfast order as we're approaching the door.

What an amazing full English breakfast we had! Myself and my partner had some time to kill , while the car was getting serviced , so we thought of finding somewhere to have breakfast. Blue cup cafe scored well , so we thought of giving it a go. The shop was clean, the staff friendly and the food amazing. I can’t fault anything! Prices more than reasonable !!! Around £7 . Would defo go back . Give it a go guys

Tried the Blue cup cafe for the first time today and was not disappointed. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the place was immaculate and the food was delicious ( I can most certainly recommend the sausage, liver, onion gravy with chips) 😋. However we were a little miffed at being too full to be able to try one of the temping desserts...... 😅 Maybe next time because we will definitely be back !!

Our first visit on Thursday. A fabulous place with lots of choice. The breakfasts we had were outstanding. Such friendly and welcoming staff. We will definitely be making this a regular place to eat.

Great breaky and cheap.greasy spoon but what more do you need

Decent breakfast. Especially enjoyed the black pudding. Fried bread was too greasy for me. Toast was ok. Eggs were done how I like them with runny yolks. The lass behind the counter was very nice and polite. You'd expect prices a bit lower then that in a place that doesn't seem to care too much about the interior design.

Called in for Break/Lunch and it was lovley to have home made chips not frozen ,The staff were welcoming and polite will be going back.

Been several times over the past couple of years, visit each time we are in Castleford, lovely friendly atmosphere & great home made meals, would never go anywhere else.

10/10, just had a small breakfast and a pot of tea, this was my second visit and would recommend, old school decent cafe. Food was lovely and piping hot.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Called in here based on previous reviews (and wanting to support local small businesses) and we were not disappointed. Freshly made breakfast, piping hot. Welcoming staff, clean cafe area. We will definitely be back. Definitely worth seeking out - there are a few cafés in the street, make sure you get the right one!

My friend and I was going to try every cafe in the Castleford area to see who was the best breakfast.but this morning's experience in this cafe was that good I'm going nowhere else.super clean fantastic breakfast and made to feel very welcome even got a free refill.fantastic cafe👍

Lovely cafe, where things are cooked to order. We had a breakfast and could choose for example how we wanted our eggs, and whether animal sausages or vegetarian. Various covid measures in place inc sanitiser by the entrance, and staff were friendly. Very nice breakfast.

Popped here for breakfast this morning after several recommendations, and it was lovely. Pleasant staff and the food was great - a tiny bit greasy but tasty and really well presented. My friend had the veggie option and enjoyed it given that he ate it at about twice the speed I ate mine haha! The café is clean with little quotes dotted around the walls and a window display full of teddies, cups and other bits and pieces. Their kitchen is fully perspexed off with just a small opening at the bottom through which to serve food to take away (we have brought some caramel shortbread home to enjoy later). Hand sanitiser available at the entrance and they are taking info for track and trace that doesn't involve leaving your details visible to everyone else, as is the case at other places I've been to. Would definitely recommend :)

We visit the Blue Cup Cafe on a weekly basis nowadays and usually opt for Jo’s SW Healthy Breakfast, she also usually has a choice of SW Healthy deserts as well! Fantastic place and although it is a traditional town cafe it has a warm friendly atmosphere and absolutely nothing is too much trouble. They also keep a range of calorie tree syrups for coffee which helps anyone that is following the Slimming World way of life.

Great to get a proper mug of tea and a tasty, freshly cooked bacon roll, so tasty! This is a proper traditional cafe, simple furnishings with friendly staff and a good value traditional menu. No fuss, just proper cafe grub, and a great mug of tea, excellent!

This was my first visit to this wonderful little cafe. It is spotlessly clean and tidy with very comfortable seating. The liver and sausage dinner I ordered was delicious and piping hot. It came with a hot drink included in the price too. It really tasted 'homemade' and the gravy was so tasty. The staff were very friendly and asked if I had enjoyed it, which I certainly did! A really nice meal, hot drink and great service all for £5, yes £5! Next time I'm in Cas, I know where I'll be eating.

I had a spare 45 mins while visiting Castleford and came across the Blue Cafe. Asked about GF cakes but unfortunately didn’t have any. However they offered GF bread and GF sausages so a butty was possible. The Lady in charge was so helpful, thoughtful and considerate in understanding GF she even came to check everything was ok with my order. What great customer care - thank you.

Friendly staff always there to welcome you, food quality is excellent and I go once a week

We come from York, to have the most amazing homecooked Yorkshire portioned meals, with a drink for only £5. Really tasty meals only downside is that it is difficult to get a seat as it is very popular. We have been informed that he starts Christmas dinners on 13th December, so we will be in as soon as we can, wish it was closer to us sometimes hahaha.

I visit this cafe in a regular basis and the standard of food for the cheap prices is amazing! All food is homemade includig proper homemade chips. A personal favourite of mine is the steak pie which I can have as a meal with chips and veg for only £5 including a hot or cold drink. All the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. There are also a lot of cakes, scones and other sweet treats which are all home baked and delicious. This is definitely the best cafe in Castleford and I will continue to return on a regular basis.

I revisited this place again today and received some great service, and great food. The lunch time meal deals are very good value especially the homemade corned beef pie, well recommended.

Only been here the once and had a snack for myself and my toddler. The friends I was with ate and it looked lovely. I will definitely be trying here again. Love the fact that everything is local dishes and all home made!The owners seem grateful for the custom.I was shocked that decaf coffee was available as some places don't offer this.Really like the fact that all TA reviews are responded to too!Looking forward to my next visit!

The best homemade desserts in Castleford by far!

This cafe is spotless, they serve a lovely breakfast and the dinners seem to be all home made with REAL chips. If you have a sweet tooth there are lots of cakes and scones to choose from. The staff are lovely, they make you feel very welcome.

Owner hasn't got the people skills for dealing with the public . Can be very rude to there customers. Attitude stinks .

Great sized meals value for money

We were a film crew filming in the area... We ordered breakfast for 20 to be delivered at 6am. The breakfast sandwiches were very tasty and filling! The breakfast were delivered hot and on time even with such an early start! Very good value for money would definitely recommend!!

This cafe has gone from strength to strength since the new people took over food all home made and plenty of it . Everything is home made the steak pie is gorgeous and a sunday dinner for a fiver you cant go wrong saves me getting the pans out they deliver as well

We go to this cafe every Wednesday when we go shopping. There is a very extensive menu or the chef will create a meal of your choice. The prices are very reasonable indeed and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Roll on next Wednesday

I have eaten here a few times over the last few weeks for breakfast/sandwiches and Sunday lunch and I can say that the quality of the food is really good, as is the service provided. Overall it is value for moneyI will be returning for more good grub

My wife and I visited this cosy little Cafe for a meal whilst shopping in Castleford town Center. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the price we paid.I ordered Gammon with egg chips and peas, whilst my wife went for Steak pie with Chips, peas, cabbage,carrots and gravy. We each had a mug of tea. The entire cost was £9.90. The girls serving were friendly and attentive and gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be visiting again.
