My friend called in to Faye's Sandwich Bar, I waited in car. He bought a sandwich for himself and bought me large spam, egg & beans buttie. I like to look at what I am about to eat, so I folded back the top slice of bread and their I saw a horrible looking hair on top of the fried egg. It put me off so I threw it to the ducks on the river air. My friend informed me that the male who was preparing the food did not have a hair net on. I would never eat from this establishment or have any food bought for me from here again. Grubby

Buffet provided for my birthday family gathering at home. Great variety of sandwiches, savoury and cakes. All were freshly made. Went down a treat with everyone. The children were catered for too. The plates and napkins provided too. Thank you .

I used Faye to provide hot and cold buffet at my party and well….just WOW! Every bit of the food got eaten, it was delicious I couldn’t be any happier. Apart from being a lovely woman, her service and spread was delicious. The paella was a lovely touch. Thankyou Faye. ❤️

Awful food, terrible service rude and unprofessional, menu looks like has been written by a child, no where did it state on the "roast pork sandwich" it would be smothered with cheap stuffing and horrible apple sauce because she didn't have enough pork for 3 sandwiches. So tried to blag it ( why not ask and give the option ? ) worse cafe I ever visited would deffo not recommend awful if I could rate 0 * I would, shocking customer service. Owner has audacity to blame the customer for her mistake, also messed up someone else's order while we waited and was digging her fingers through someone's omelette. Crazy behaviour, would rather starve then ever step foot through in that filthy hole of a shop. 0/5

Recommended to us when working nearby. Rolls on Tuesday (No pics) then Jacket potato with chilli on Wednesday, the biggest Jacket potato I've ever had! Honestly one is definitely a sharer. Lovely chilli too but would like a bit more kick, maybe some chilli sauce on the table? Excellent food and good service at a very nice price.

I have been working just up the road from this café and my colleagues and myself have been using this very regularly, the meals are great value and the food is very tasty. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Faye's to anyone.

Working just down the road at Kenneth Howley it's super convenient and food has been perfect. Nothing to change here. I would highly recommend to anyone

Faye recently did a buffet for a funeral. There was plenty of choice and everything looked and tasted great. Would highly recommend and definitely would use her services again.

Fabulous food. Good value for money. The meat in the sandwiches wasn’t cheap plastic processed meat it was all like home cooked hams etc. I would definitely recommend for a buffet. Catered for 25 on the £5 buffet menu and there was more than enough food.

Only got a drink kitchen dirty ,staff not wearing any hats or aprons.

Roast pork and stuffing sandwich was excellent. The yorkshire pudding version looked good too.

The Best Spam & Egg on Toast ive ever had ( oil man )

Great service, great value, really friendly staff and most importantly great tasting food.

2 stars was a bit harsh, sorry.Food was good but I did forget to mention i was vegetarian before ordering my sandwich, so I'm guessing the egg n mushroom was cooked in same oil as the sausage.

Denise cooks the best breakfast anywhere. The bacon, sausages and eggs etc are fresh and piping hot. It's not greasy either. Sets you up for the day. Perfect.

This is a much overdue review. I was looking for afternoon tea to be delivered for a friends birthday in early June. I live in Leeds & my friend lives in Castleford which, during lockdown, made trying to order a much deserved treat rather complicated as so many places were closed. After much searching on line I found Faye on FB & her business was still open. Her feedback on FB was great & when contacted she was very helpful & was able to accommodate my order for home delivery at short notice which was much appreciated. My friend was very surprised by the home delivery which came served on a ‘silver’ platter. It was brimming with various sandwiches, sausage rolls, pie, cream scones and strawberry flan. More than enough for two people for lunch and afternoon tea. I have ordered delivery from Faye again and the quality & value was again outstanding. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Faye & for her outstanding service.

Celebrations in lockdown are hard to do but the buffet that Faye did along with the gorgeous brownie cake was very well received. My friend said it was amazing food. Very reasonable price too.

My wife mandy and her mam comes here often for sandwiches etc, she swears by fayes and says its lovley food and very plentiful, she as booked them for our grandaughter and grandsons christening on the 21st, I'm sure it will be lovley, just quick update, did my grandkids christening today and it was perfect, everyone commented on the food, hot and cold buffet, loads of variety and loads and loads of food , best buffet caterer we have had, thankyou again faye

So good plenty of selections all reasonably priced and fresh also does outside catering as well. I thought I'd try a roast chicken dinner for a change (instead of sandwiches)wow absolutely brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

My husband visits this cafe most days and always comments on the friendly staff and the variety of dishes they have to offer. He often comments that the food is tasty and great value for money. His favourite day is chicken tikka Monday. Thanks Faye!

Middle of the road... Menu choice is good. Food quality is average. Prices are average. Overall appearance of the food prep area is worrying. I have eaten here a few times more for convenience than choice.

Birthday buffet for 12 booked with only 1 days notice. The food was lovely and very tasty, with plenty of variety. Faye was very helpful and provided exactly what was required (and more!) I am happy to recommend to all, what a gem to have found in Castleford!

Great food and service. Nice varied menu and have never left without being stuffed. Big breakfasts and nice traditional roast dinner style lunches plus good value for money. Who could ask for more?

An absolutely fantastic buffet. Excellent quality and varied food. Catered for 60 people and more than enough was provided. I would 100% recommend.

Half decent food and good price just try to avoid being served by the miserable troll that works there.

Poor food. Frozen and uncooked. Owner abusive, when challenged. I would aviod, paid £300 for 60 people, lucky to feed 20 people. Some family members reported being suck after eating it. If you are going to do a Buffet for your wedding, just go to Aldi, buy your own and set it up yourself. Thats what this Cafe does, nothing fresh. Not sure what it's like on day to day business, can only review my experience.

Los desayunos son increíbles y buttys aquí de hecho la primera vez que me comí un sándwich, pensé que me habían dado un gran por error pero como resulta es el tamaño estándar.

Tenía un gran mega desayuno aquí, cocina y zona de cafetería son muy, muy limpias, han tenido llevar bocadillos calientes desde aquí hay lugar, así que decidimos tomar un desayuno, ya que era de 40 años y no nos decepcionó, comida estupenda, relación calidad-precio y estupendo personal

Ambos tuvimos el Mega desayuno y está bien llamado, todo el contenido era de buena calidad y fue una lucha para comer todo. el sábado por la mañana tendrá un nuevo significado de ahora en adelante, un desayuno de calidad de buen hablador personal.
