This place is Wakefields hidden gem. Food is always freshly prepared. The staff are all brilliant, so friendly. I've even started going on my days off from work!

Started working in Wakefield 2 months ago and since then I've been on the hunt for the best sandwich shop for my lunch. This little café, hand's down is the BEST. First of all, the staff are lovely...super friendly, very approachable and have been quick to take my order each time. I've had a couple of breakfast sandwiches from here and they've been fresh, perfectly cooked TOP quality bacon, lovely runny egg. Today I had a large ham and cheese salad sandwich, my go too...one of the best I've ever had! You know when that salad is fresh and I'm telling you now...it was FRESH! Ham is good quality, bread was fluffy...a clean bite! Can't praise the ingredients highly enough...and the portion size is unreal value for money (you could put the prices up!). The hunt is over, this is my go too when I need that top quality sandwich on a break :D Cheers!

Have been getting meals from here for a longtime and when I found out they did home delivery that was the best news ever. The food is fantastic, the delivery ladies are lovely and the prices are just right. What else could you wish for.

I answered not sure to some questions. This is primarily a sandwich bar with some hot cooked meals, but here were some vegetarian options. It was very friendly, everyone who came in with orders to take out were served quickly and if I visit the West Yorkshire hIstory Centre again I will certainly go back there. You could pay before or after eating your meal. Good luck with your business!!

Excellent sandwiches at a good price and friendly service

A simple sandwich, a mega breakfast or frankly anything on the menu is always great from this place. Sam and his team produce highly quality food, at very affordable prices, in good time and even deliver. Major panic during lockdown when they had to close like everyone else, our Fat Fridays were not the same - mainly cos there were only 2/3 of us in the office but no Chimes! Delighted when they reopened and I could enjoy the mega breakfast again. Weekly specials, BLT which is amazing, all done with a smile - thanks folks, see you again soon.

This Sandwich & Catering Bar is the best & only one you should use. We especially like the Bacon Mushroom & Tomato Dip ones in a T-cake or some call a Balm Cake. They also do a very good take away or deliver Afternoon Tea at a very good price. Just around the corner on Kirkgate is Eats Sandwich Bar & you will find all items on there menu are around 25p to 50p more. So do use CHIMES!

This is bar far the best bacon and egg sarnie I’ve had in 35 years of construction work. I cannot believe I didn’t know it was here. Outstanding. No fat on the bacon, egg nice and runny and bread cake fresh as snow. Can’t wait until we’re working in Wakefield again I will definitely make a bee line for this shop. Going to try the breakfast next time. Well done guys you made yourselves very proud today as I am normally a moaner but a round of applause on this one.

I visit here all the time. Their baguettes are a meal in themselves. £4 & there really is an amazing amount of food. Well worth the money. Family run & really friendly staff. I eat here regularly to support them. As this gem of a place would be sadly missed. Present economic climate is hard for everyone & I wouldn’t want to lose this one as I see them as friends. Menu is also quite extensive & good value. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent quality of food. Only thing I found disappointing was the vegan meal my friend ordered what we thought was a vegan sandwich turned out to be a plain wholemeal bread roll accompanied by lettuce tomato cucumber onion sprinkled with a few nuts and a nut bar of some kind two small apples and a banana. very dissatisfied and disappointed.

Work close by so occasionally grab lunch love it there but ALWAYS recommend to people. The food is ample & exceptionally cheap prices!! Worth a visit to try - they also deliver! Give it a go. Breakfasts are outstanding. 😋

This is a Spotlessly clean establishment with a hot tasty and aromatic menu of English Breakfast sandwich's and breakfasts in varying sizes, plus a range of cold sandwiches and pies hot or cold if bacon eggs sausages and tomatoes, my favourite in its large format is too much for you. The staff are always friendly and smiling and the prices are always reasonable the service is quick and clean I love this place.
