Finger lickin' good grub! I hold this place close to my heart as it gives me memories of my great-grandmother's cooking except she's dead and I actually meant my grandfather except he doesn't cook but every now and then during visits he would arrive with a good bag of chinese that we'd split up on plates and gobble up. Amazing customer service and food and even more amazing for bringing me good memories! T.Y.S.M (Thank You So Much)

Booked for a buffet for my daughters 18th birthday party. Staff were amazing. Sal did an amazing job. The best buffet food service and price. I ordered for 50 people max and I swear we could have fed 500. All food was lovely and fresh, displayed lovely, a fantastic variety and all delivered to our venue x Honestly we couldn't have asked for any more from Southcoats cafe! 100% 5*. We will definitely be using these again. ******VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED******* This is NOT just a cafe it's a community business and very much overlooked. Thank you a million and more you were all soooo lovely xx

1st time I went in, I ordered 1 chicken and sweetcorn soup which came to £3.50, the price was on the wall and in the leaflet, there was also a sign saying prices up 10% but as I paid the price that was advertised I assumed it was included. next time I went in I ordered more food including 2 chicken and noodle soups. the woman tallied it up and the total came to £28.60 (£21.60 without the soups), I get back home and notice there is a soup missing, ring the store and they said we were only charged for 1 soup which isn't the case. I've just been in and tried to sort the issue out, I said I'd order a soup anyway but I expected my free 1, the woman behind the counter started tallying what I was saying I ordered and she said that came to 27.60 so I was overcharged £1, I know this isn't the case, but anyway she takes £1 out of the till and puts it on the counter. i order a soup anyway and she says 3.50 so I ask to pay on card and she says £5 minimum for card so I order another soup. this time she said the prices are up 10% and says the total will be £7.70. this 10% increase apparently isn't reflected anywhere other than the little paper sign, I felt cheated and lied to so I told her to keep the £1 and said forget about the soups. I will not be eating here again. prices are inconsistent and in some cases an outright lie.
