Call them self a Chinese food takeaway, the food cold ,burnt & oily, they need to go to Spain and learn how to cook from Gran China restaurant.

Thought I’d try D&F for a change as I was in the area. Called in & ordered a meal, waited around 15/20 minutes, so fairly reasonable. Lots of meals cooked for delivery. Had a chef’s special tomato dish which was very nice. Had chips too but wasn’t keen on those, tasted a bit like cardboard!

My favourite. The food is always lovely and so are the people that run it. 10/10 would recommend

It's the best takeaway we've tried. We use to go to Superwok for years but it's gone down the drain badly and also costs far too much especially if u want a delivery. The beef curry and chicken curry is brilliant, the curry reminds me of Jimmys that use to be on bransholme, I never thought I'd say this but D & F is probably the best I've tasted in my 60yrs.

They’re a great take away. But a nitemate to get hold of. I’ve tried twice during the week and three times on a weekend….. Nothing. That’s fine I’ll talk me business elsewhere.

This used to be my favourite Chinese takeaway, however it started to go down hill about 12 months so I switched to the Wok and Chopsticks. However, W&C closed for 2 weeks holiday so went back to D & F Kitchen, big mistake! The spring roll was swimming in grease, and I mean swimming, to the extent it had leaked through the paper and was dripping into the bag. They delivered one wrong main course and it was not just unidentifiable it was also inedible, the other meal was just bland and tasteless. I rang to complain, however I would have had more response from a 2 year old child, no offer a replacement meal, no offer of a refund, never again for me.

Arrived after an hour and a half when ordering at 6:30. portions were smaller than usual and they forgot the rice. Rang to complain but may as well have talked to the wall, would’ve got more sense.

Waited over an hour and a half when ordering on a Saturday at 6:30. Got the order wrong. No rice with the chicken and mushroom despite menu stating all dishes come with chips or rice and actually ordering it! Sent pancake rolls instead of crispy rolls. Portion of chicken and mushroom was tiny compared to usual. Rang to complain, got nowhere, got sorry but it’s busy tonight, well, not for much longer if this is the service everyone got tonight. Won’t be ordering again.

Great meal as always. Derek and Fiona are always very cheerful as they prepare our food.

The service was quite poor by the man at the desk, he was very rude to I what i’m assuming is his boss (the lady and man in the back). I wish I could add the video of him shouting at these two however i can only add images. He was also rude to a customer on the phone making sarcastic comments like he can’t be bothered to deal with them. I am quite amazed at the audacity he has and that he wasn’t put in his place there and then.

Always liked it here, but the wait tonight has been horrendous. Told 20 minutes on the phone and well over an hour later after arriving still waiting despite numerous complaints. Have been a customer for years but never again

Food is always good. Never been disappointed. Service is friendly and usually fairly quick, considering food is freshly prepared, unless very busy. Delivery service available and works OK.

Ordered at 18:50 told an hour and a half wait, that was fine. 20:50 still not arrived , telephoned and was told the order left 10 mins ago and would be with us shortly. 21:15 rang to cancel, apparently it was ‘on its way’ but at 21:59 still hasn’t arrived. What a joke, don’t bother, it isn’t even that nice of a meal. Do yourself some oven chips, save some cash and will be nicer.

I have been eating takeaway food from here for many years and can honestly say I've never been let down. The quality is fresh and very tasty. The menu is good and interesting. I've never waited too long for my order or my delivery. The family who run it and staff are really friendly and polite,the place is very clean and you can see the food being cooked through an opening. The prices are good and the portion sizes are generous. The spring rolls are superb and large. The king prawns are big and juicy and are cooked to perfection. All the ingredients I've ever tasted are always fresh and clean with a zing. A great little takeaway with restaurant style food.

Best Chinese food in Hull throughly fabulous food and excellent service

First time thought id try it as most were shut been tuesday. Looked lovely got chichen foo young with fried rice and chicken curry with chips The problem was there was no taste to anything. Very bland. I put a ton of salt on to give it some taste. The chips were bad just dry n hard. The chicken in both dishes was like it was boiled in water then added at the end of cooking. Any the curry just lacked flavour a bit watery Conclusion would i go again , I wouldnt rush back.

Excellent take away great food large portions very nice people. Only thing I'd say is wen they go on holiday please leave info on site so people know.

Never be disappointed. The only other place you can get Duck Stuffed With Prawn Meat is Dunswell. Speedy delivery and piping hot. Highly recommended.

It's a shame because the staff are really friendly but, the food was edible(barely) & not very tasty. Good portions & price but that doesn't count when the food was so mediocre. Won't be going there again.

Waited close to 2 hours for our food for the chips to come dry and the rest of the food almost cold. The girl on the phone was very unprofessional and rude when I rang back for a second time asking when our food would arrive. Would not recommend ordering from here.

DISAPPOINTING.......Just been in orderd sweet & sour chicken, fried rice,chips. Phoned in got told will be ready in 10 mins. Got there and waited 30 more mins shocking there was just me and one other guy in there. The delivery driver was stood there with food in his hand for 20 mins at least waiting for more orders before leaving.. and to top it off the food was mediocre I will not be visiting again il go to lucky star down the street. It looked like a cluster f...k in the kitchen oh and on the counter behind the glass near the praw crackers on a silver rice box there was a dead spider.

this is my favourite Chinese takeaway having tried the others in my area i use this one now trying different things on the menu the owners always chat and have a smile when doing your order. excellent food

Ordered food by telephone for collection. Told 15 minutes.Went to pick up and had to wait 40 minutes for order, When asked for money back, they would not refund and told food was being cooked. When got food home it was disgusting,will not be using d&f again.

Made a phone order for collection (only 2 meals) I was told it would be 10 minutes. Arrived after 10 minutes and was waiting in total over 50 minutes. People were coming in and ordering and leaving with their food whilst I was sat there. I was just told it'd be another 5 minutes. When I eventually got the food home the rice in both meals were stone cold and one of the medals the container was only filled 1/2 up. I phoned to complain and was just told 'sorry'. I'll never use D&F again. Looking for a new local Chinese now.

I ordered from here for the first time a couple of months ago. Me and my family didn't like it. The fried rice didn't even look or taste like it should. We thought the other dishes where a bit to greasy and none of it taste as it should. We got quite a few different dishes. I was very disappointed as the reviews where great. I won't be going back, the only reason I give it 2 stars is because of the service.

Fantastic Chinese, my favourite by a mile, they do the best shredded chicken in Hull. Food is always hot and service is so friendly.

The best chicken curry I've had from a Chinese the hot and spicy soup is to die for! Rang for a collection on a Friday night and it was ready in 15 mins! Brilliant service!

The above says it all, travelled into hull from holderness for the takeaway as I hadn't had a D and F for a while and was not disapointed, fresh lovely tasty food with great customer service, it will be my regular from now on.

I cant believe it d&F kitchens is now back under management of derek and fiona i ordered for the 1st time in ages and the food was exceptional and the delivery service was better then ever i would highly recommend ordering from here over lucky star anyday.

It's the only place I buy my Chinese from very nice and good value for money go regularly.
