Lovely restaurant an Great food, 👍

Me and my family came here for my birthday meal after playing golf and it was nice as always,the bathroom was nice and clean and delicious food that was always getting topped up and a good price for the buffet and drinks

Great place, cheap and tasty food

Not my favourite place to eat, not much choice during the day at all.

This place only seems to cater for families of 4 or less, we have tried booking on line to be told we didn't book even when we had confirmation, we have tried telephone booking to be told only evening bookings can be made, so yesterday we turned up a group of 6 and for the second time we were kept waiting for 30 minutes only to be told sorry we can't fit you in. So although we have visited as a couple we won't be visiting again we will take our custom elsewhere

I love this place, the food is kept hot and delicious. The staff are lovely and get you seated straight away. My only complain is the price range, I am considered a “child” and I paid adults even tho I should be paying child, I paid 18 pound but that was including a refillable drink. I think the price ranges need to be sorted as I shouldn’t be paying adults, I’m pretty sure it ranges of hight, I’m only 5,1 is well so that’s confusing but apart from that this place is great and I will be visiting again!

Visited for the first time with the kids for lunch in school holidays. Excellent food and great value for momey. Would definitely return.

Lovely place one of our favourite things to do

Not a bad little place to visit for Chinese all you can eat buffet. Not a great variety of food compared with other places, and not much atmosphere when we went, but worked out cheaper than competitors, so that can mostly be forgiven!

Food isn’t that good, not a lot of choice for a Sunday. Afterwards myself and my mrs had sore stomachs, vomiting and diarrhoea

An enjoyable evening. The food was nice and there was a reasonable choice. It was not too busy, which was good. It was very clean and the staff were friendly.

Great place for all you can eat

my family had a takeaway from here this evening. delivery was brilliant and well within time. chicken Satay and curry rice were nice according to my son. House Special fried rice was also nice and full of meat and prawns. chicken curry and curry sauce were extremely oily and very watery, had a fairly weak flavour as well, but was packed with chicken. chips were quite 'soggy' but dry inside. Mini spring rolls were luke warm as were the chips. Everything else was hot. Sadly we won't be going back and will be sticking to China Red or Mayflower.

We won't be going back again! My partner and I took our 11 year daughter and her friend and they charged us for four adults. When I mentioned it to one of the workers they said they charge by hight, not by age. I requested to speak to the manager who didn't want to speak with me. The food wasn't that good either. I big no from us!

Inhospitable atmosphere. The staff were almost antagonistic and hurried. I was treated as more of a problem than a customer, despite being polite.

Food has always been tasty and hot, choices were good, evening choices are better but the higher price reflects this. The overall choices might be less than other like wise buffet restaurants but the premise is much smaller and they are slightly cheaper to reflect the smaller offerings, staff are always pleasant. I like the fact that not only is it a buffet restaurant but you can get a take away/ delivery service from here and you can buy a take out box where your given a take away tub and you chose what ever you wish to fill it.

All you can eat Chinese plus some other dishes. I love Chinese starters but found them to be really greasy. The main dishes were a let down too. Lacking any depth of flavour, sauces were really thin & runny. I thought the chicken had a really strange texture too. Won’t be going back.

Good food, but can get busy so allow time if planning a visit.

Food was really nice but if your going to take your little ones and they fidget about I'd avoid the chairs as the straps dont work if it wasn't for me catching my daughter the she would've fell straight through , I asked for a chair with working straps but apparently they are all like it

You have to pay up front which i dont like doing but actually the food wasnt as bad as i feared it might be. Not a bad choice and lots of staff clearing up. Not a great eating experience but it took cash and was fairly cheap.

IF this is “real” China - I don’t want to see fake!!! This is at best Chinglish. I’m visiting Hull, and I WON’T EVER consider going back on future trips. There’s a reason they make you pay at the start - you wouldn’t pay at the end after the LACK of quality!! Definitely NOT worth £15 + drinks. Even the staff seemed resigned and as if they didn’t want to be there! Not a smile on the face on anyone coming out of the kitchen. They were just going through the motions. I ordered a drink on arrival (as you have to), I had to ask where it was 20 mins later!! Food was overly greasy, the sweetcorn soup was warm water with bit of sweetcorn and egg white (I couldn’t finish a bowl). About the only decent thing there was the prawn crackers! (But it’s hard to mess those up). Chinese buffet restaurants further South with better quality than this; have closed because of poor quality food!! Maybe I’m a Chinese Food snob, being that I go to Gerard St London (China Town) relatively regularly. However; there are also take-aways where I live that are 150% better than this - and I won’t order from them as the food is rubbish. I am struggling this morning with breakfast, as I’m struggling to digest dinner. I didn’t even contemplate dessert! It filled a hole - but that’s about it! NEVER AGAIN! If you think this is good Chinese food - then you’re very mistaken. Rule of thumb - if Chinese/Asian people aren’t eating there - it’s absolote pants

I have been here a few times and today I went and I’ve come home and I’ve been sick and diarrhoea and i havnt eaten anything at all apart from this how can I complain ?

Nice clean bit small all you can eat perfect for quick bit with kids instead McDonald's while in town

Loved it. It was tasty. I can see why it is a popular buffet place. I especially loved the fact that you paid before you ate. This way you don't get eat and runners. I felt more relaxed this way knowing that it was already paid for and didn't have the hassle of having to pay at the end. Will definitely be going again. Its well worth a visit everytime we go to Hull and St Stephens shopping centre.

Cheap, cheerful, and well worth the money. Staff very helpful and friendly would definitely go again.

This place is wonderful and we go several times a month because we enjoy it that much. We can’t seem to get enough. The staff are good and quite to clean up ready for the next dish or table. Well worth the money

It's a go to place when you need something out

My absolute go to place for Chinese food, never order Chinese takeaway, will always come here instead, the food is so fresh, the restaurant is so clean and they are constantly refilling the food with fresh food, 10/10

Went here with a couple mates at 3:30pm they warned us that in half an hour they would be switching to the dinner menu and if our friends would get here on time because they'd have to pay more to come in, we said that's fine. We started eating, friends came and they asked us if we are done because they're switching over the food we said yeah that's fine little did we know that meant u have to leave or pay the extra price for the dinner menu which wasn't mentioned specifically and we were forced to pay the extra amount because we got an extra plate and she only told us after we grabbed the food that we can't leave anymore because we got more food.

Only thing I don't like is that staff stand next to your table near the doors waiting for next customer.. would be better if they stood in the front near the bar .. otherwise its a nice friendly place

Food ok but desert variety was shocking!! I took my 2 children in for a treat and all they had available was 4 fruit bowls, 1 strawberry gateau and plain ice cream. My kids don’t eat fruit so all they could have was plain ice cream. Could have at least put a chocolate cake out. Won’t be going again.

Food was much better than expected for an all you can eat buffet. Everything was fresh and hot, and staff were quick to clear plates.

Really good food and great price too

First of all the food wasn't too bad at all for the price. There is a good choice and there are even plenty of desserts. The staff are terrible. Really slow, really lazy, really looked as if they couldn't be bothered at all. Being told to wait outside of a restaurant to be seated got my back up straight away staff don't bother to check anyone is waiting. Then having to pay for food in a restaurant before you've actually got It just screams ghetto to me. Before we were even seated were being asked what drinks we want and to pay upfront. For this reason alone I wouldn't go back. The Asian lady there looked like she couldn't be bothered to lift a finger and concentrated more of her time doing nothing behind the bar rather than attending to the queue getting bigger by the minute outside. The tables are far to close together and the aisles to get the the buffet are very narrow meaning too many people invading your space while youre trying to eat. Overall a negative experience and won't be going back. With the amount of food outlets on offer they seriously need to up their game.

Rude staff. People waiting in qué to get in the restaurant to eat and I was going straight in for take away. Basically one woman start to shout at me to wait in the line outside. This is mental. If I want to take some food out they give you a box and you go and pick up the food and that's it. Why do I need to wait in the line with the people waiting for a table ? That woman was very rude and she didn't even let me to speak. Just get in the line, get in the line

Price has gone up making it compete against big buffets so you might as well go over road to wings for similar price. Buffet is small for price. And drinks are extra. Not worthit .

Had a birthday party and a graduation party here and it was worth the money I paid.

Went for a birthday meal, was really hot and crammed in. My 5 month old needed her nappy changed, but no baby changer unit, surely this should be mandatory alongside the disabled toilet.

Really disappointed. The place didn't have many people in so waited while food got topped up but instead of taking the trays away and putting the fresh trays in, they poored the fresh stuff on top of the old food. All the food was cold, I like the muscles silly me nearly 4 hours later I've got a dodgy stomach. Surely this place needs a visit from Environmental Health Officers to check the temperature of the food is correct not 1 thing we tried was hot. Wouldn't reccomend & certainly won't be going back.

The food is fantastic! Located in a group of restaurants in the mall and this is the only place with a line out the door while the other places are half empty. Since it is a buffet, there isn't much service to speak of but I will still rate that 5 stars because they are very friendly and promptly remove empty plates from the table. The atmosphere is gorgeous! We have been several times and will continue to be repeat diners here.

I wouldn't recommend if you bring kids as you get charged full price for a 10 year old no where on website that states this. They said it goes by hight of 146 but she was actually 146 And for a baby under 1 who ate a couple of crackers and a little bit of jelly they came up to us half way through and said you need to pay for them as they ate food. I clearly asked when paying does the baby pay and told no couldn't see a problem with a couple of crackers would understand if she ate loads. Staff was stood by us the whole time to watch us and monitor what the baby ate from my plate. Another place I will avoid now was not comfortable been watched. Maybe make it clear that if your child is tall you will pay an adult price. If i knew this I would not have came as a few hard chips and cakes is not worth £14.95 . Overall its not great they ram people in everyone is pushing in to grab food you feel like you are sat ontop of each other.

Always nice. Food here ,selection not as big as it is in wings but its nice and well cooked , help yourself to as much food as you can eat and buy a refillable drink to wash it all down

Value for my money with an unbeatable price. Tasty food I got a full course for just £13 with two drinks. A must visit whenever you are in Hull. It is located at St Stephens mall in the heart of Hull. A lot to eat for a fair price with seafood choices.

We visited this evening and was initially we were charged incorrectly, this was rectified eventually and all seemed well good selection of main dishes however when it came to the desert all the fresh cream mini cakes, éclairs, profiteroles were frozen, staff were not bothered when i told them and did nothing to rectify this. Definitely not worth the £49 we spent on the 2 adults and a teenager in our party .

Very tasty food, but it is better to make a reservation, otherwise you have to wait in a long queue.

Visited a few weeks ago on Saturday the 24th of Feb with a friend (not our first visit as have been here before) We could see how popular it is just by the long queue we stood in beforehand to get into the restaurant’s building. The process of getting and table is nice and swift, you go in and you pay for the all you can eat service and they ask you what you want to drink and after that drinks are on tap. My drink of choice was fizzy Vimto. Food is absolutely amazing and prepared well and you can see members of staff constantly re-stocking anything that is empty on the various all you can eat cartels they have on offer. After you’ve finished each dish from however many times you’ve been up a member of staff will kindly take your dish away so you have a clean plate all the time when you get up to put some food on your plate. Top Chinese food place. I recommend to anyone.

Got this as a takeaway, not worth the money, cold and hard chips, chicken fried rice was tasteless, and rubbery chicken was hard too, chicken curry was watery, very bland. 19 quid no where near the worth.

On two occasions we've booked a table and it has been confirmed. On arrival they have apparently known nothing about our booking and our requests on table requirements. No apology just rudeness saying ' we don't know anything about that booking'.

Good value, clean, and a good variety of food.

Went for a birthday lunch with my husband as we had been a few years ago and remembered enjoying it. This time we where sadly not impressed. There wasnt a great amount of choice,especially not many saucy dishes and alot if it was bland. The sweet and sour was very watery, the shredded pork and pancakes where very dry, the egg fried rice tasteless and the tang chicken also tasteless. Such a shame as it all looked lovely. The prawn toast and ribs where lovely though.

Great food here, all you can eat buffet and the dishes of food replaced regularly. Would really recommend booking though as its really popular.

If you want value for money and good quality Chinese food whilst shopping or visiting the cinema in St Stephens centre Hull, this is the place to go. If you have never visited the Hull you should because it has many surprises. The St Stephens centre is next to the railway and transport interchange. Top place to go. Our 'umpteenth' visit and it does not dissapoint. £15.90 mid week for 2 adults and as much as you want from an extensive and delicious Chinese buffet. £5.70 for 2 adults serve yourself limitless top-up soft drinks. Warm and friendly.

absolutely awful. food seemed as though it had been microwaved but was still cold in the middle. When ringing to speak to someone at the restaurant we was told theyd get a manager on the phone to whuch we was just left and then hung up on. we rang back on a different number and heard who i can only assume was the manager tell the member of staff on the phone to not pass him the phone and to say he wasnt there. absolutely shocking service.

Absolutely rude individuals here! In my years of eating out at restaurants, I have never received a service to disheartening as here. Food is bland and the staff are just plain rude! Save yourself and your money and eat somewhere else

A very reasonably priced all you can eat. The quality of the food doesn't seem diminished which you would expect from this kind of service. The staff do not rush you even when there are long queues waiting to enter. Will be back I'm sure.

God awful, the delivery took nearly an hour to come. We ordered crispy shredded beef, salt and pepper chips, and sweet and sour chicken. The sweet and sour chicken was nice however the salt and pepper chips were stale and cold awful to eat, the crispy shredded beef was cold and soggy, there was no sauce and lacked flavour! I love a Chinese and always look forward to one when I get the chance, I was so disappointed when I opened the boxes. Even worse the fortune cookies didn’t even have a fortune in them!

The Real China is an excellent all you can eat Chinese buffet. There is a good selection of food. I usually eat early lunchtime and there is always plenty of food. It does get very busy if you go a little bit later, and you may end up having to queue. The fact that people are queuing out the door and prepared to wait shows how good it is. Real China is the only reason I ever go into St Stephen's.

Limited but good quality food. Nice restaurant, the lunch takeout boxes are good value.

Don't think I've ever had better food eating out in my life, honestly dreamy even if it is a bit pricey. Some of the nicest staff you'll ever meet.
