Much quiter than Wings, and food clis better

Came here last night after not being for years was my favourite place. Since I've been home , I've been vomiting shivering, body is so achy, cant even keep water down. The place has changed drastically the food is no longer enjoyable, I made a remark stating I wouldn't be returning, and well after this definitely not. Disgusted

If you’re looking for buffet food in Hull, I’d recommend visiting this restaurant. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. There’s almost always a long queue outside, which speaks to its popularity

Was ok but just another all you can eat

I had a disappointing experience at this establishment and will not be returning. One of the employees treated me poorly, which made my visit unpleasant.

You get what you pay for decent enough for the price customer service is good food choice is limited but good value

Cheap and Cheerful it's ok for a quick lunch but certainly nothing special but again I guess u get what u pay for. The buffet at lunch is very small and it be nice of there would be more vegetarian options 😋

just ordered £50 worth of food and i’ve never been more disappointed! The curry tasted as though it had be watered down , there was little to no flavour at all, The vermicelli rice noodles hadn’t been mixed properly so there was inedible amounts of spices in some parts and dry plain noodles in another, the salt and pepper chips were also bland and not a lot of “salt nor pepper” the only thing we enjoyed was the shredded duck for pancakes. Overall really disappointing and i feel as though i’ve wasted a lot of money :(

Tried real china for the first time today with my friend. The food and value for money were fantastic. Most of the dishes were turned over and fresh and each had individual flavours, my friends favourite was the curry and mine was the satay was gorgeous. Really had a nice time in a relaxed atmosphere and would definitely return. Couldn't go wrong for £14.95!

Just arrived on my own, 1st time I’ve really dined on my own. I asked for a table for one and the girl behind the counter said I have to leave by 5pm (less than 45mins time). No smile or any explanation as to why, even though they are open until much later. A very upsetting experience.

This is a budget-friendly Chinese buffet where you get what you pay for. I walked in without a reservation, and it wasn’t an issue. The cost was £17.75 for dinner and one drink, which I thought was reasonable, though you pay before eating. The selection isn’t vast, but it covers the basics. The table was a bit sticky and wobbly. The food was neither outstanding nor awful—the noodles were quite bland, but the duck pancakes were enjoyable. Overall, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return

The best all you can eat Chinese restaurant I’ve been to. Great food, replenished very often so always hot! Refillable drinks are so worth it. Great atmosphere and super cheap!

Best bit of Chinese food in hull.

The service we received was first class. Unfortunately one of my friends had a fall while we were there. Two young members of staff came over immediately and couldn't have been more help. They brought her a glass of water and showed sincere concern. I'm sorry I can't remember their names but they will know who they are. The food was excellent and the desserts a delight. I would definitely.

Wide range of chinese dishes with great taste.

Top notch Chinese buffet. The queue outside will give you a clue they this place is worth visiting. 10 minute wait to get in (despite various empty tables spotted inside) although the staff do try and call smaller groups forward when space comes available. Huge selection of hot Chinese fare, all readily topped up. Plates of average size, however as it is all you can eat (terms and time limit apply) you can go back as often as you wish. Fizzy drinks on tap to help yourself, if you choose this as an option (payable). Dessert selection available also, with cake, fruit and various ice cream. Delicious food and would definitely go again.

Awful food some of it looks like Iceland party food. Chocolate éclairs frozen in the middle when I told the black lady behind the counter she said they are meant to be that way its how they are sent to us. She snatched the food out if my hand due to me not been happy about that and seemed adamant on charging us for an extra person to have a drink because we asked for a straw. Place is tiny. Staff are not friendly place has spiralled down hill rapidly!

Estoy tan discutido en el trato de mi hija y familia especialmente mi nieto que es Artístico el gerente grosero y abusivo se negó a servirles ya que mi nieto estaba haciendo ruidos lo que es parte de es Aurtisam cuando sus padres protestaron empezó a gritarles que salieran y les dijo que eran bardos me duele tanto pensar que tratan a mi nieto con tanta discriminación

We came here tonight on a whim as we hadn’t booked anywhere for Valentines and did not expect to get in. However within 5 minutes we were seated. The food was delicious, and great value at little over £18 for food, dessert and a refillable drink. Thank you for squeezing us in!

Never been so insulted and discriminated against, been going here for many years , i took my daughter and baby son for lunch at her request . We qued and waited for 10 minutes for a table and i explained i wouldn’t be eating due to I’m currently having cancer treatment and would be sick if i eat . So they refused us a table because I’m unable to eat!! Many people leaving the restaurant heard and said they would never return. What an outrageous world we live in !!! Will never ever step foot in here again avoid at all costs

The owner, Benny, is fantastic! This is an all-you-can-eat Chinese-style restaurant with plenty of options to choose from. I love the chili pork, crispy duck, and chicken curry. They also offer takeout. While the prices have increased a lot in the last couple of years, that’s understandable. For a takeaway tub, I now spend around £7, but I get a ton of food! 😋

The worst food I have ever eaten! I don’t understand how it was so busy, do people have such poor taste ? the food is disgusting cheap and nasty. Will never return. On the way home I had to pull over as the food made me feel so sick, I vomited everything out.

Absolutely disgusting, they charge kids full adult price because of there hight, my daughter age 12 likes to go out with friends and they are charged as kids because they are slightly smaller in height, she is very picky and probably eats less than her friends, my daughter and her friends will be dining elsewhere from now on, greedy owners 😡😡

Era mi primera vez en la China real hoy y tuve la recepción más terrible de ambos miembros del personal asiático. Había reservado una mesa y estaba esperando a mi invitado, cuando pidió la mesa , el tipo dijo groseramente esperar por ahí al resto del grupo, y dijo ‘no es mi problema’ si se están retrasando, esto era innecesario y poco profesional. La otra señora nos dio la bienvenida con un ‘grosero tienes 90 minutos’ cuando pude ver claramente cómo trataba a otros clientes. No soy de los que tiran de la tarjeta de la carrera, pero me sentí avergonzado y discriminado frente a mis invitados. Creo que ambos deberían hacerlo mejor la próxima vez.

La mejor comida y el mejor sabor buffet chino en el casco. Mejor que la que se ha abierto recientemente en York. No tuvimos ninguna queja durante nuestra visita y la comida se reponía regularmente y se expendía comida fresca cada media hora aproximadamente. El menú es bastante barato y también se pueden comprar bebidas de fuente, que es una ventaja.

This place is hit and miss! Sometimes it's a great experience, others not so great. Our last visit, most of the food was tough and dry. I got jaw ache from chewing! Will get again in the future and hoping for a better experience.

If I couldn't, I have given 0 stars. I was with my son ( 3 years old) today there and I took a take away box, my son saw the prawn crackers and he wanted one, I've gave him one and he ate it after he saw the jelly pots and said please mommy I want one he almost cried, I've gave him and after that an employee came to me and said he can't have it and literally took it from his hand and saying that I have to pay for it, but if was it in the box haven't been a problem. Once in a while I can afford to treat my son, my box wasn't extra full like other do and plus I don't wanna speak about the food waste there, I haven't been there asking for free stuff I've payed £6.95 for it and treated like the last person on earth and my son crying for the jelly pot. Anyway I will never go there. Apologies for the spelling English it's not my first language

Excellent Chinese restaurant, very good service and staff

La vergüenza estaba primero en la señal y la comida estaba fría evitará en el futuro. Solía disfrutar de las comidas aquí, pero no se molestará de nuevo. Realmente decepcionado ya que estuvimos allí primero en señal esperas que la comida esté caliente, pero estaba fría. Personal genial.

Used to love this place, used to prefer it over wings but the food has gone downhill massively. On the other hand it's still a nice cosy place, staff are friendly and helpful.

Went last Saturday and booked a table we then got in and they accused me of shouting at a member of staff prior to our visit which I haven’t done and I am a regular loyal customer the way the guy spoke and acted very arrogantly really annoyed me so we didn’t end up eating. Shame really as prior to this I have photos of metal scowler pads pieces in my chicken if the management would like to call give me a number to call to speak to you about this as I did formally complain but I guess this would have been brushed under the carpet I can’t say the food is bad but have been some times and food is not up to standards you can go will be spot on and go and be crap also the fizzy drinks are flat as anything no gas

Estoy trabajando en Hull y un colega me recomendó este restaurante, así que pensé en probarlo. En primer lugar, me gustaría señalar que tanto fuera como dentro eran muy atractivos, amables con el personal y la elección de la comida era buena. Lo que lo bajó fue la temperatura de la comida, probé la mayoría de los platos como lo haces en un buffet chino y estaban calientes como mínimo la cebada y algunos en realidad estaban fríos. Le mencioné esto a una señora al final que supongo que era el gerente y le recomendó que comprobara la temperatura de los alimentos, ya que seguramente hay una temperatura mínima que los alimentos necesitan mantenerse, ella me dio un reembolso del 50% que me gustó, ya que después de todo, había comido su y la comida sabía muy bien. Por favor, resuelva este problema antes de que alguien se enferme,

Have been on several different occasions and it has always been very very consistent being good value for money.

The food is absolutely delicious

This is totally unexpected experience. We 6 people booking a table and from the beginning the Staff and others staring at us and said couple of times that dont waste food etc. And also one staff member came to us and said please finish your food first which is totally mannerless. This is totally exhausted and making us shocked. Overall the rice and noodles was cold and asked to refill a dessert and they denied.

When customer eat their meal, they stair towards customers and it is really awful

First time here and had the all you can menu. It was varied and tasty but have to say I have been to places with more choice. The staff were friendly and efficient and the buffet seemed to be topped up regularly. Even paying full price (after 5pm) if you have a good appetite you will get your moneys worth. Could do with a pensioners special as we have smaller appetites. Would I go again...... Yes.

I was referred to this place by a friend who asked me to try it that I would like it. It's appears to be a good value for money.

Me and husband got food poisoning 3 weeks ago I ended up in hospital I was really poorly never going there again

Reasonably priced, good selection of dishes although they were slow to be refreshed. Food generally warm rather than hot. It's okay.

Been with family and on my own and it was excellent both times. Really cracking food and caring service. And somehow still amazing value too. £9 pp if you go before 5pm Monday to Friday. Then a few quid for a beer which is fair too.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place. It is simply awesome. They have a good selection of food, all very tasty. Even living outside of Hull now, any chance I get I go down there to visit The Real China. It's also my go to place to treat myself for my birthday or any other thing I want to celebrate. The staff also never rush you to leave no matter the queue outside.

Mi familia y yo siempre celebramos nuestros cumpleaños aquí y si salimos a comer este es el lugar que elegimos CADA vez! La comida es preciosa, el personal es increíble (literalmente nada es demasiado) es limpio y tan acogedor. Nunca he tenido una mala experiencia aquí. Recomendaría este lugar a todo el mundo. ¡También tiene un precio razonable y también ofrece bebidas recargables!

Absolutely smashing. Good selection of food, well cooked and the buffet is kept well stocked with fresh stuff. Booking a table seems a bit of a waste of time if you still have to queue outside though.

Good food and clean but unfortunately. They don’t acomandate baby’s very well they don’t eat much but are quite happy to charge £2:60as you are not allowed to give. A tiny bit of your own food to your child so it’s a shame because even if you ask for a takeaway box but no they charge you an extra £5,55 it’s crazy. Also the high chairs should all have straps no it’s easer to get them out. They say. Need to sort babies out proper

Me and my family came here for my birthday meal after playing golf and it was nice as always,the bathroom was nice and clean and delicious food that was always getting topped up and a good price for the buffet and drinks

Great place, cheap and tasty food

I love this place, the food is kept hot and delicious. The staff are lovely and get you seated straight away. My only complain is the price range, I am considered a “child” and I paid adults even tho I should be paying child, I paid 18 pound but that was including a refillable drink. I think the price ranges need to be sorted as I shouldn’t be paying adults, I’m pretty sure it ranges of hight, I’m only 5,1 is well so that’s confusing but apart from that this place is great and I will be visiting again!

This place only seems to cater for families of 4 or less, we have tried booking on line to be told we didn't book even when we had confirmation, we have tried telephone booking to be told only evening bookings can be made, so yesterday we turned up a group of 6 and for the second time we were kept waiting for 30 minutes only to be told sorry we can't fit you in. So although we have visited as a couple we won't be visiting again we will take our custom elsewhere

Visited for the first time with the kids for lunch in school holidays. Excellent food and great value for momey. Would definitely return.

Lovely place one of our favourite things to do

Not a bad little place to visit for Chinese all you can eat buffet. Not a great variety of food compared with other places, and not much atmosphere when we went, but worked out cheaper than competitors, so that can mostly be forgiven!

Food isn’t that good, not a lot of choice for a Sunday. Afterwards myself and my mrs had sore stomachs, vomiting and diarrhoea

Food its the best taste in all hull

An enjoyable evening. The food was nice and there was a reasonable choice. It was not too busy, which was good. It was very clean and the staff were friendly.

my family had a takeaway from here this evening. delivery was brilliant and well within time. chicken Satay and curry rice were nice according to my son. House Special fried rice was also nice and full of meat and prawns. chicken curry and curry sauce were extremely oily and very watery, had a fairly weak flavour as well, but was packed with chicken. chips were quite 'soggy' but dry inside. Mini spring rolls were luke warm as were the chips. Everything else was hot. Sadly we won't be going back and will be sticking to China Red or Mayflower.

Great place for all you can eat

We won't be going back again! My partner and I took our 11 year daughter and her friend and they charged us for four adults. When I mentioned it to one of the workers they said they charge by hight, not by age. I requested to speak to the manager who didn't want to speak with me. The food wasn't that good either. I big no from us!

Inhospitable atmosphere. The staff were almost antagonistic and hurried. I was treated as more of a problem than a customer, despite being polite.

Food has always been tasty and hot, choices were good, evening choices are better but the higher price reflects this. The overall choices might be less than other like wise buffet restaurants but the premise is much smaller and they are slightly cheaper to reflect the smaller offerings, staff are always pleasant. I like the fact that not only is it a buffet restaurant but you can get a take away/ delivery service from here and you can buy a take out box where your given a take away tub and you chose what ever you wish to fill it.

All you can eat Chinese plus some other dishes. I love Chinese starters but found them to be really greasy. The main dishes were a let down too. Lacking any depth of flavour, sauces were really thin & runny. I thought the chicken had a really strange texture too. Won’t be going back.

Good food, but can get busy so allow time if planning a visit.

Food was really nice but if your going to take your little ones and they fidget about I'd avoid the chairs as the straps dont work if it wasn't for me catching my daughter the she would've fell straight through , I asked for a chair with working straps but apparently they are all like it

You have to pay up front which i dont like doing but actually the food wasnt as bad as i feared it might be. Not a bad choice and lots of staff clearing up. Not a great eating experience but it took cash and was fairly cheap.

IF this is “real” China - I don’t want to see fake!!! This is at best Chinglish. I’m visiting Hull, and I WON’T EVER consider going back on future trips. There’s a reason they make you pay at the start - you wouldn’t pay at the end after the LACK of quality!! Definitely NOT worth £15 + drinks. Even the staff seemed resigned and as if they didn’t want to be there! Not a smile on the face on anyone coming out of the kitchen. They were just going through the motions. I ordered a drink on arrival (as you have to), I had to ask where it was 20 mins later!! Food was overly greasy, the sweetcorn soup was warm water with bit of sweetcorn and egg white (I couldn’t finish a bowl). About the only decent thing there was the prawn crackers! (But it’s hard to mess those up). Chinese buffet restaurants further South with better quality than this; have closed because of poor quality food!! Maybe I’m a Chinese Food snob, being that I go to Gerard St London (China Town) relatively regularly. However; there are also take-aways where I live that are 150% better than this - and I won’t order from them as the food is rubbish. I am struggling this morning with breakfast, as I’m struggling to digest dinner. I didn’t even contemplate dessert! It filled a hole - but that’s about it! NEVER AGAIN! If you think this is good Chinese food - then you’re very mistaken. Rule of thumb - if Chinese/Asian people aren’t eating there - it’s absolote pants

Loved it. It was tasty. I can see why it is a popular buffet place. I especially loved the fact that you paid before you ate. This way you don't get eat and runners. I felt more relaxed this way knowing that it was already paid for and didn't have the hassle of having to pay at the end. Will definitely be going again. Its well worth a visit everytime we go to Hull and St Stephens shopping centre.

Nice clean bit small all you can eat perfect for quick bit with kids instead McDonald's while in town

This place is wonderful and we go several times a month because we enjoy it that much. We can’t seem to get enough. The staff are good and quite to clean up ready for the next dish or table. Well worth the money
