The best restaurants in Newby Harrogate Yorkshire and The Humber

Has been closed for a few months now and I recently read on their FB page that they are not reopening. A pity as it was a decent local place with very good food.

Back in ownership of the people that made it so great. Delightful food, sometimes unexpected choices and an excellent atmosphere and service. Not the cheapest venue but worth the visit

First time visiting and definitely not the last . Great atmosphere, friendly staff and just a very comfortable place to drink.

Driving home from a day trip in my electric car (only had just enough charge to get home - didn't have enough charge for detours) and realised we had run out of water and all were thirsty & dehydrated. Stopped to get a drink - and see if we could fill up our water bottles - but sadly they were shut & the door was closed. Chap came out to where I was sitting in my car trying to work out what to do to check I was ok and gave me drinks for the kids. Above and beyond, thank you!

The crown is a gorgeous pub/restaurant very clean and welcoming a large fire greats you as you walk in from outside. The staff are great full of spirit Steve and marco are so much fun but also very professional and attentive. My father is lactose and glucose intolerance which can be hard to cater for but not for carl and his team .. the food all came out was beautiful a fantastic menu put together with lots of choice. Amanda runs around keeping an eye on the tables and helping out been one of the team so nice to see. This place is how Carl and Amanda's restaurant's always used to be and you won't find anything like it . Thank you for a fantastic day will be returning very soon...

Came with my relatives ....hadnt got our table ready so had to sit elsewhere. Veggies were all hard ..roast potatoes were very hard bowls empty so had to wait for them to be refilled ...gravy was very runny and tasteless ...kady serving gave far too much meat in big chunks too ...she looked stressed...we have been before when Liz was there and never had a problem .....very letdown to be honest ...which is a shame

The deep pan pepperoni was delicious 😋 my daughter said it was 10/10 🌟 waiting time was long but I was made aware of that before ordering online 😊

We recently had coffee and cake, followed by a light lunch a few hours later at Newby Hall restaurant - there was an excellent choice on offer, for both the mid morning break, and the lunch, and we very much enjoyed what we had - the only small thing that we felt needed attention, was that none of the staff clearing tables, cleared away the crumbs etc, or wiped the tables down, and the crumbs that were on the table mid morning, were still there at lunch time!

If you want a nice pizza avoid at all costs hardly any cheese or tomatoe. We could not eat one of them as it was garlic Bread With cheese not a pizza. We had to prove we had not eaten it This was not an issue as we left it in the box and they collected it. We received a £9 refund. We had to share the other one that lacked ingredients. It ruined our treat on a weekend never again.

It is a few years since visiting this rightly popular establishment. I was not disappointed! The ambience, service, food and drink were all to a very high quality. The fish pie was excellent with a significant amount of varying fish pieces. Thank you Simon and the team 👍👌

I would have gone if this was in Ripon, North Yorkshire. But it's not. It's in the US. The entry needs to be corrected.
