The best restaurants in Settle and Ribblebanks Craven Yorkshire and The Humber

Just popped in for inspiration for Dinner and ended up getting the 3 for £12 packs (which will cover 5 Dinners!), meal deal for lunch and fabulous potatoes that were picked that day. Yes they were a bit expensive but to be honest I could have just eaten those they were amazing.. accompanied by steak pie slice and veg it was all delicious. The young man who served us was very helpful and friendly (didn't get his name unfortunately) but it was 24.07 around 2.45pm

This review is for the restaurant although we've stayed here before and would have done so again, but it was fully booked. Friendly staff, efficient service, really good menu choice including locally sourced ingredients. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, NB no parking on site but the town car park is very large and 2 minutes walk away. Recommended.

I was in the Royal Oak Harlesden today I buy a pint barmaid was absolutely useless did not even great me she did not know how to fill a pint of Lager I did went to the rest rooms where I was greeted by a absolutely disgusting toilet s I did not finish my pint as I was sick from what I saw in the tolits that was half 3 today only 5 people present never again will I go there I also have pictures as proof I have no problem post them on here

The cafe is part of a discounted outlet store in what used to be a mill. There is ample free parking and the prices for food and drink are reasonable. Seating is fairly basic but serves it's purpose. Coffee comes regular or large. Large is naturally weaker unless you pay 70p for an extra shot. You can then grab yourself a bargain in the shop.

Had a short break recently and was quite disappointed. The hotel advertises luxury rooms. That might have been so in the 80/90s but certainly not now. Good points- the beds were comfortable and nice linens. Bad points the skirtings were full of dust and the furniture chipped. Breakfast service needs someone to sort it out. There was no one about to allocate a table. Drinks and toast were served but then it took ages for our cooked breakfast order to be taken and then a long wait before we actually got it. We booked the hotel because it sounded and looked nice. Reality was quite different. Would suggest a good b&b for better value.

Visited mid week (9th Aug) to grab a takeaway, before I’d even stepped foot inside the shop a black B Class Mercedes drew up directly outside, boot opened and the driver pulled out a large clear bag (size of a bin bag) of raw chicken legs & thighs literally dripping/ leaking with blood and other raw chicken liquids (sorry). The boot liner was awash with leakage from the bag - no refrigeration in sight. The stuff of nightmares. A man appeared at the shop door (a chef?) in filthy clothes, the bag was carried across the pavement, up the steps, into the shop with a trail of chicken blood and raw liquid leaking everywhere - unbelievable. Further food and stock for the shop was retrieved from the contaminated car boot, whilst empty trays & boxes were put back into the car. Plus there were kids in the back seats! I have never seen so many hygiene contraventions so blatantly and so openly revealed in full view. Disgusting, frightening, unacceptable, dangerous. I attempted to speak to the person behind the counter to ask that they at least disinfect the shop floor and outside area but they ignored me!!! Avoid at all costs - I did, and have contacted Environmental Health. I like to support local business in Settle but not at any cost.

Great service and fantastic desserts... will deffo be visiting again... Battenburg Cheesecakes are AMAZING!
