We got here at basically 6pm so not exactly late. We had tang days in advice and requested to book a table as there was 12 of us, told don't need to don't worry and we don't really do reservations. Got here and struggled to any seating for a party our size so has to seat across four tables. To then overhear a party kicking off who had reserved because someone had sat at there table (not us but this was happening near the bar). After having a holiday home with food left on the microwave, no clean bedding and hadn't been cleaned we were offered 6 free drinks by reception. Got here and the manager had no clue what we were on about. Then we ordered food to be told 30 min wait (it was much longer). Considering how long we waited every single dish was tepid warm at best. The 'buckets' are six very skinny goujions and not worth the money. None of the food came out together. Half of us hadn't eaten whole the other half have had nothing. Half the menu was already out of stock also. Overall it was a cluster to say the least. Clearly not bothered with customer service, don't care about customers and as I write this my husband and kids and half my family have finished eating whilst me and my dad have still not had any food. This was meant to be us going out for my brother's big 30th and to be honest it's been s**t. Thanks for ruining my bros 30th crow in.

We went twice. The pub itself is lovely and friendly staff when it comes to the food. First time we ordered the burger and chips it was lovely but advertised as coming with lettuce and tomato but had none. The second time we ordered a BBQ chicken pizza which was advertised as coming with a BBQ base but when it arrived there was no sign of BBQ on it at all very disappointed.

Nothing wrong with the food as such, it's just average. We'll happily go to Wetherspoons and pay £30 for 2 adult meaks, 1 child's, plus drinks. Here you'll pay more like £50 and it's of no better quality. Clearly microwaved etc. But they've got a captive audience. Heads up that the kids pasta bake is apparently discontinued but still on the menu.

Two Tier service here. If your a resident not only do you get a discount, you get served at the bar quicker! The staff , whilst friendly enough would serve the people they knew (owners) before serving visitors, on several occasions it was like I had my invisibility cloak on , staff would pass from one end of bar to the other serving people who were obviously known to them, whilst visitors were kept waiting! Leaves you with a bad feeling and feeling not welcome! Bit overpriced also!

I’d highly recommend visiting Crowtrees Inn. I found it to be a lovely pub with a welcoming atmosphere. The bar staff were professional and friendly, especially Caz and Gavin. Awful Experience! We visited with family whilst staying on the park. When we ordered we were told there was 30 minute wait which we didn’t mind. After a hour of waiting and being told it was on its way, The first meal out of the 6 we ordered came out an 1hr 30 mins later! Part of the meals missing because they had ran out! Kids Pasta bake was horrendous, congealed and inedible! Or in our 7 year olds words Absolutely Awful!!! The final meal came out 1hr 45 minutes later, again missing items! Tuna and cheese panini was soggy. My partner and I had to share a £16 chicken burger which was basically 2 Birds Eye microwave chicken fillets on a bun and a bit of rocket. No cheese, no coleslaw as stated on the menu! Disgusting! We received no apology from the Manager who just stormed off with his head down and left one of the ladies behind the bar to deal with us after we demanded refunds. Food is disgusting and overpriced! My brother and his family had the same issue and his ‘Gold Medal Winning’ Pie came out frozen after 90 minutes!! DO NOT waste your time or Money here!

We were staying at bowland fell caravan park and had the displeasure of eating here. We had 9 people wanting to eat and the bar manager was less than helpful. Very rude, very dismissive and upset a family member. The food was incredibly under par, toddler portions and all microwaved. The bar staff (bar the manager) were lovely. Approachable friendly and happy to help. Same can't be said for the waiting on staff. No interest in service no smiles no apologies for the food being wrong and did I mention the food was AWFUL! oh and no cutlery on the table or by the service station.

Went with Wife and Dog, the place is very dog and wife friendly. The food was lovely, we had Calamari and Steak and Ale pie. Over the visits we made subsequent to the meal we got to know the staff and really bonded with them and they are instrumental in creating a lovely, friendly atmosphere. The Head Chef, Sita, was lovely, friendly and a great chef, she came for a chat at the end of her shift. Her co pilot, Jack, was also a great chef and very friendly. Steve, the Bar Manager works hard to keep everything running smoothly. Front of house are Caz, Holly and Devon who all deserve a special mention as it can get really busy especially at the weekend, they were always polite and helpful, they all took a shine to our dog, black labrador Ripley, giving her treats from the bar. In fact, after a few days Ripley was actively pulling us towards the pub when we were walking her in the park grounds. To sum up, a lovely, recently renovated premises run by genuinely friendly and courteous staff who make a real difference to the atmosphere and we can't wait to return. Gerry and Ann Hitchen.....and Ripley.

The food is HORRIFIC like really really really bad. If you buy anything you'll feel like you've been robbed. The pizzas are all Chicago Town frozen pizzas and you're charged a fair amount for it. Everything is frozen and all of it is awful. The place looks great and has real potential but they need to find a chef not just someone capable of putting things into a microwave or oven. Go in to enjoy a drink but trust me when i say don't waste your money on the food, go to the old vicarage up the road

This is a lovely building with fantastic potential. For drinks it's good. Saturday evening meal, well let's see. The authentic sour dough pizza Margareta was akin but not nearly as good as a lidl deep pan pizza. £12.50. Kids burger served on a cold dry roll. The burger was so cold it hadn't even melted the standard (but expected) plastic cheese slice. My son enjoyed his kids fish and chips. The chargrilled chicken burger was served on a similar dry roll, a limp leaf of lettuce and 2 slices of tomato. The chicken was dry and some was so tough and hard it was inedible. Bacon chop with very dodgy mash and veg was passable, but not at £13.95. The kids desserts included in the £5.99 all in offer were charged for again. Now if you want to use cutlery don't set your expectations too high. This wonderful building and setting is failed by food that is off the back of a brake brothers lorry and even at that it's poorly presented and over priced. So many missed opportunities to make this an amazing eating and drinking establishment. £70 spent and left feeling robbed. This is a catering car crash.

The bar staff were friendly and very welcoming, The place looks nice, that's all I can say nice about it. The food was awful. Gordon Ramsay would of used many words that I won't. I'm sure the menu says "ultimate burger".... Mine came with chips and burnt fat, my other halfs veggie burger was a very cheap frozen veggie burger in a bun, the chips are over seasoned before you even get them and when it says you get coleslaw and salad.... It doesn't. I gave this 2 stars because the lovely lass behind the bar made a great effort. Wasn't even that busy. But I can understand why.

We booked a lovely weekend away as a family of four and cannot fault our accommodation one bit and friendliness of the host and surrounding people. We thought we would book the on-site restaurant as a treat for our final night, with chicken strips and halloumi starts - these were oven chicken nugget and mozzarella stick specials!! £5/6 each for frozen finest. For mains we ordered two burgers and two pizzas with having to send the pizzas back being barely melted cheese, and cold toppings. As sending back I heard the waiter say to the ‘chef’ “these aren’t cooked - apparently” in a sarcastic tone. When bringing them back out 10 minutes later (I only asked to grill the top a bit!) they didn’t look any different. I tried mine which still wasn’t piping hot?! To which we again asked for them to come cooked.. and my husband asked the waiter politely and to one side to not insult my request sarcastically again. We then asked the (to what I can assume was the) manager to come over to us, to be told to wait with one finger 👆🏻gesture! Then for him to come out and ask me, my husband and two children to leave as my husband had grabbed the waiter by the neck!! Bear in mind there were other tables in there and cctv 😂. Cannot believe the rude hospitality and quite frankly awful freezer food (told us the pizzas bases are frozen when we got there)!! the whole meal was £73 for a birds eye special Really really wouldn’t recommend.

Very disorganised. Did not understand table service for drinks but had to go to bar to order food. Ordered our food but did not ask where we were sitting so lots of staff wondering around with food and not knowing who had ordered it. After waiting nearly 90 minutes I asked how much longer for our food. My plate arrived with no cutlery to eat it with. It was stone cold and a very small portion. Staff apologised with varying reasons for delay. A free drink was given. Shame it was so appalling as was staying here for a week and would have used it for the duration of our stay but once was more than enough.

We had a family meal here which was very reasonably priced. (£32.50 for 3 adults and 1 child). The pub has a one-way system and hand gel stations throughout. The toilets are impeccably clean. These is a small menu to chose from consisting of burger, lasagna, curry, scampi etc. The children's meal was very nice £5 for chicken chunks (real chicken) chips, peas and a fruitshoot. The staff are helpful and welcoming. We had booked a table which I would recommend as it's quite small. If you were going to the pub just for a drink and the weather wasn't nice you may struggle for a seat as many of the tables appeared to be eating tables, whether these change later in the evening I am not sure. Our order got a little mixed up but we didn't mind as the food was nice and we aren't that fussy. Would recommend a visit if you are on the holiday park as it's a lovely little pub

Great building. But if you’re here for food not architecture, it’s best avoided. It’s on a nice-looking caravan/mobile home site. When we arrived it was empty; we wondered why it was empty on a Sunday lunch. We’d seen an ad on Facebook offering Sunday lunch with all the trimmings, and as we are local we thought we’d give it a try. Big mistake. This was no ordinary Sunday, it was National Yorkshire Pudding Day. When the food arrived there were no Yorkshire puddings on the plate. Also, the whole plate of food was heated up, over-cooked, and uneatable! Well I did eat the mash but there’s not much you can do to that to spoil it, and I was hungry. The chef came out and asked us how the food was. So we told him, and gave back our largely uneaten Sunday lunches. The manager (I think) also asked and we told him. Both said they were sorry and offered us a free drink. I was driving so refused mine.I can’t get my head around the fact that they apologised, took our dinners back, and didn’t offer a full refund. I would be totally ashamed to serve food like that. It explains why we were the only diners though....

Absolutely awful service and food. We rang earlier in the day to ask if the could accommodate a large party, 10 adults and 2 children which they said was fine. On turning up there was no food and they had ran out of most things even though the restaurant was empty. When are food arrived it was obvious it was done it a microwave only half of the food turned up after 60 minutes. My 3 year old didn’t even receive his meal and this should have been priority. When I asked the chef if his food was ready he just rolled his eyes as if it was a massive chore.. massively unprepared and it’s a shame as it could be a lovely pub if there were some real commitment to delivering excellent service which there obviously was not. We received a full refund without much resistance which goes to show that they know there are issues.

We are staying at the Bowland Fell caravan park so this restaurant is nice and close for us. After a very tiring day visiting Lake Windermere we were almost too tired to eat so we decided to let someone else do the cooking and I’m so glad we did. The food was amazing. My husband had the beer battered fish and chips and declared it was the best he’d ever had. He even ate the homemade tartare sauce which he usually doesn’t like. I had a char grilled chicken salad which was delicious, a nice mix of salads and a generous portion of meat. The chef was so friendly and talked us through the way he does things. He sat us in a nice quiet area even though that meant more running about for him. I can’t fault the food or the service and highly recommend Crowtrees Inn.

After settling us down with a drink and the menus she explained which dishes were not available that day. No matter, there were plenty of things left from which to choose. I had crayfish salad dressed in an amazing sauce and my husband had soup which he also deemed excellent. I then had a proper homemade chicken and mushroom pie. It was superb. My husband had red snapper which was beautifully cooked and presented. We had a leisurely meal with no room for pud. A great pity. With regards the park itself, the owners and management have been exceptional to deal with, so much so that I have just purchased a brand new caravan with them and look forward to many years enjoyment.

We have been member of this site for years and have spent many of evenings in the crow trees in with our family and friends. I must add that this is purely due to ease and convenience as the atmosphere is awful. The manager couldn't be any slower and doesn't crack a smile unless your part of the inn crowd. The new and improved refit has yes improved the look but inside its lifeless feels cold and the only entertainment is the bar lady who is lovely (Claire) the manager has no clu what he is doing nor does he even serve you the correct order due to deafness uninterest and rudeness. Obviously kept in a job as he's a friend of the new owner. And the new owners well that's a new story trying to change the site but not for the better! The site used to be a real community where now some new vans are rented out to holiday makers who cause trouble and drama. My advice to the crow trees, bring in some real talent some young blood who can bring in some life into the place someone who understand what people want . Ps some of the reviews below are left by staff .

My wife and I visited someone who was staying on the site and decide to have lunch before setting off home, there was a bit of a wait for the meal but when it came we knew why. The food was excellent, I had the Cumberland sausage and the wife had a sandwich, both came with proper home cooked chips and the onion gravy was gorgeous. Everything was fresh and excellent, whenever we are in the area we will eat here.

We visited the Inn whilst staying on site. This is a very friendly place although the Inn itself is not open but the restaurant / gamesroom next door has the bar.We were welcomed by the barstaff and also allowed to bring the dog in, the dog also got spoilt by barstaff and customers!Food is nice but limited to certain days. On a couple of occasions we had to wait for a table due to functions or reservations but staff did their best to get us in. The food is a long wait as it is all cooked fresh, but well worth the wait. If staying on site and not driving the local ales are worth a punt too :-)Staff seemed to be very busy but coped well.If visiting it may be worth reserving a table if you don't want to wait!

We went here for Sunday lunch as we were staying near by. The food was reasonable and tasted great. Place was clean and staff were friendly. The kids menu is good and food was homemade. We also got take away pizza one night and it was lovely and very reasonable priced. Would definitely recommend this place.

Visited here last night as staying in the area. Don't let the fact that it is in a holiday park put you off as the food and service were wonderful. Nice selection of wine, real ales and the food was fresh, local and cooked to oder. Had the pork loin steak with brandy and peppercorn sauce with real mash and veg. Could not fault it and incredible value too. It looks from the board that they do a three course Sunday Lunch for fifteen pounds slo if the quality of my food was anything to go back, you should be in for a treat!I think the place we ate used to be the restaurant part of the old pub that was there but it looks like the old pubs is being refurbished and they have opened the restaurant up as the pub/dining area. Food is only served Thursday-Sunday which I assume is due to lack of activity in the week being a holiday home area and when most people are aroundOverall all though well worth a visit if you are in the area of Settle and Tosside

Four of us went for a meal here on Friday night, three of us had fish and chips one had gammon. Food was very good, bonus was real chips. Only problem was the food restaurant was only open at weekends. When you consider the pub in the village about a mile and a half away was closed, so was the pub in the next village which was about three miles away. Thus meaning if you wanted a meal in the week you would have to travel eight miles to Settle for a meal. So if you fancied a takeaway during the week, forget it. This must be an inconvenience for residents of the local area. There is a small cafe about a mile and a half away, but this closes early so it would have to be a meal before seven. Would have thought with a little more effort they could have opened all week and put on a bit of entertainment to draw in the locals as well as the holiday makers from the adjoining caravan park. The restaurant also has to double as the pub because the pub next door is closed for refurbishment and does not look as though it will open any time soon. As if said the food was good even if the menu was rather limited.

We chanced upon The Crowtrees Inn last night on the way home from a day out in Gisburn forest and what we experienced was utter chaos. The bar and restaurant area was very busy, a good sign we thought. How wrong we were. Our drinks and food order were eventually taken by a very friendly but clearly flustered barmaid - it seemed she was solely responsible for serving on the bar and waiting on the many tables. Having worked in the restaurant trade I had every sympathy for the young woman who, in the midst of the chaos was running from table to bar in an attempt to serve the throng of impatient customers. When the food came out it was to an ok standard, it certainly wasn't the worst I've ever eaten and it filled a hole. All in all I would say that Crowtrees is in desperate need of additional staff and to perhaps appreciate the admirable efforts of their existing (singular) member.

For the past few months there has been only one lady to run the bar with no help whatsoever. During her recent holiday, the pub just closed ! Since the other local pub has long since ceased to operate, this leaves the residents without a place to meet up and socialise. The gents toilet has been out of order for months now, but it appears that no effort has been made to have a plumber fix the problem (one needs rubber boots to enter the room !) Residents on the caravan park - now renamed the Bowland Fell Park - have always enjoyed the availability of food on site plus live entertainment on Saturday nights. Both of these facilities have now gone. The bus service to Settle has operated only during the day and is now reported to be ceasing completely within the next few weeks - what a fantastic business opportunity for the owners of the Bowland Fell - where else could a business be run with zero competition ?

The Carvery at the inn is fantastic as are the other choices of food on the menu. The landlord and his partner run the pub in an excellent way, making it fun for family, couple and individuals.Having visited many times through all seasons we are always made very welcome. The landlord and chef very obliging even serving food at really short notice, on time always hot and delicious. Staff overall are wonderful very friendly atmosphere.Simon the landlord is an asset to the whole of Crowtrees Park and he should get recognition from the owners for this. I hope he does!

Both Simon the Landlord and Sharon are an asset to the pub. Claire who works behind the bar and Perry as well as other staff are always very friendly and obliging. Seriously good food, fast service and value for money. The whole of Crowtrees Park deserves a medal. Ignore bad comments about staff made here, they are both sincere and welcoming. A********** I visit all the time with my wife and we are always made very welcome. The pub quiz and entertainment are great fun for the family.

Although we visit Crowtrees (site) a couple of times a month, our return visit to the Inn last week was in the first time for about six months, purely do to the fact that we wanted something local. Notice that the evening menu had reduced considerably from previous visit with a lot less choice. Management still appeared to be the same, as did the quiet atmosphere inside. Food was just edible and service was satisfactory. Appreciate that this isn’t (nor ever will be) a Michelin Star venue and of course the prices reflect that, however if you are after a warm country welcome and a hearty supper, served with fine drinks with pleasantries and a smile, we would probably recommend you go somewhere else. If anyone can honestly rate this Inn , over one or two stars in any of the categories, then you simply do not appreciate what fine dining actually constitutes and we recommend you get out more.

I live about a mile from Crowtrees inn, in the village of tosside. I regularly come to the pub for food or just a drink. Myself and my friends always receive a warm welcome from management and staff. Food is very reasonably priced and all home made by Simon the manager. Staff are always friendly and can't seem to do enough. I recommend Wednesday/Thursday evenings when residents and locals all meet up for a few games of darts in the "old bar". I would recommend a visit whether you are on holiday or live nearby. I feel the previous review is unfair as every effort is made to ensure you enjoy your evening

No welcome from the management, don't even acknowledge customers, completely unfriendly. Only seemed to be interested in the people from the local village of Tosside and not the people from the site to which it belongs. The Manager of the pub needs a reminder in good maners and how to talk politely to all of his customers. This coment does not apply to the site, even though there is room for improvement on the site itself there is a general feeling of willingness from the manager and staff and a warm friendly welcom.

Having visited here previously and having a mediocre meal (although beer almost always flat) I have to say that I won't be returning anytime soon. 6 of us arrived for a meal, and there were approximately 10 other people in there that had finished eating. We were greeted by the Chef/Landlord - Steve/Simon? who seemed to find it an effort to smile, and made us feel like he was doing us a big favour serving us our drinks. We were shown to our table by friendly waitress but that was only positive point. Food order came, with some dishes being incorrect. Was huffed at when told this to another waitress and she asked us exactly what it was we wanted her to do!! Not great Customer Service. When orders were corrected, it was disappointing food served. Entertainment started setting up while we were eating which ruined the atmosphere. All in all a terrible experience for a pub that could have so much potential. The owners always appear very rude with everything being a huge effort. This pub has so much potential if only the right people were running it. My advice would be save your money and book at The Old Vicarage in Tosside Village. They can't do enough for you and all food here is fresh and home cooked to order - with a smile.... something seriously lacking at Crowtrees Inn. If you are looking for good, hospitality and good food, go elsewhere.

Pretty quiet when we arrived.Situated on a caravan site, but a well laid out pub, serving a variety of beers. A small selection of food on offer, basic pub food, but the steak and kidney pie was excellent and a very good portion. Also runs a good quiz on a Friday.

Can't rate this place high enough. We stayed in one of the beautiful apartments behind the Inn. Ate at the inn several times that week, all tasty meals demolished and enjoyed by my husband, myself and two kids. Service and staff lovely, always making us welcome and feel at home whenever we popped in!Can't wait to get back down and relax there again- also there's use of a swimming pool right opposite the inn. It's ideal to go for a dip just before dinner at the inn!

We were going to be "home alone" this Christmas so booked our lunch at the Crowtrees. The dining room looked stunning, but we enjoyed a pleasant drink in the bar before eating .The format was buffet style, and this suits us perfectly. We were able to put on our plates only the items we like and in the quantity to suit our appetite, but in the knowledge that, should we require more, we could make a second trip to the buffet. The staff were all very pleasant, but not overpowering - just waiting to attend to our needs. We have already booked our table for the St Valentine meal and look forward to meeting up again with good friends. The popularity of this establishment had been sadly eroded over the past months, but under this new management, Crowtrees is definitely on the up. Thank you for a great Christmas Lunch.

We went to crowtrees on christmas day, straight away we were greeted and seated with a free glass of wine till we were ready to dine. When shown to our table we could not believe how lovely the room looked, we thought we had gatecrashed a wedding. Every attempt was made to make our day special. The scallops were to die for, we had the duck which melted in your mouth then a strawberry shortcake stack to finish. The atmosphere was brilliant & the staff couldn`t do enough for us. We left feeling thoroughly satisfied. We were so impressed we went back the following sunday for a carvery lunch which was also excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone as I will definately be going back.

The meal was beautiful, this was our first Christmas eating out as a family and Simon and Sharon did bot disappoint! Look forward to returning soon!

We are reviewing this Inn and Restaurant from our experience over the New Year. First of all i need to saywe believe that this couple Sharon and Scott have taken over this establishment this year, but they are seriously lacking in hospitality, We visited the Inn most nights on our week stay, and didnt catch Scott once smiling, he didnt engage in any conversations with us at all, not the usual Landlord behaviour you usually cant get rid of them.!New Year, we paid £15 per adult and £10 a child for what was advertised as a Disco/Buffet, on our arrival we were the first there, the room was beautiful, Sharon had done a great job, a young man was fiddling with the disco (something he continued to do all night) speakers tweeked, microphone tweeked, shuffled music, this happened all night, no announcement to let us know that the entertainment originally booked had cancelled and this was Scott and Sharon's son,(so we were told the next day) making do! dont know what he needed to tweek the microphone for because it wasnt used once, the gaps between music were eerily silent, not helped by the fact that only 30 people attended (what did they know we didnt?). His choice of music was not good, then the food came. What there was was very nice, Salmon, Beef, Chicken curry, Rice, Chips and a small bowl of salad, Ok so now for the desserts???? Not even a mince pie, "I didnt think about desserts" i was told, Oh dear, 4 Grandchildren expecting a pudding, so off we went to the house we had rented and brought our own, not good. We had to organise the TV to go on and the countdown to New Year, we also brought our own fireworks that the other guests joined us outside the Restaurant, and thanked us for the entertainment. All through the evening, not once did Simon or Sharon come to talk to us or check if everthing was ok, as there were only a few guests they could have chatted to everyone, they just didnt seem bothered, we went to the bar for a drink after our food and no-one was behind the bar, they were sat at a table away from everone else eating the food. But as Louis Walsh says on the X Factor, "We made it our own" we had to because no effort was made by the people who organised it. Very poor, lets hope it was just their first year and can only get better.
