We stopped for breakfast on way to ludlow food festival. it’s a nice place with a cracking farmshop We had the farmers breakfast which was very good other than the sausage which was appalling (sawdust in a skin) but everything else was delicious friendly staff , reasonable prices and great coffee will go again but please improve your sausage supplier

Myself and hubby had evening meal recently. Service ok and friendly but some of the food could’ve been better. My starter was a chick pea dish which was stone cold but not sure if it was meant to be as had yoghurt in it! Main which was Korai was ok as was the garlic nan. Hubby’s Balti was also ok. We chose to have a dessert. Hubby had ice cream and I chose ‘hot’ fudge cake and asked if I could have vanilla ice cream as I like the contrast of hot and cold. I was told if I wanted anything with the cake it was a £1 extra, something I’ve never experienced as always comes with cream, custard, ice cream as standard. When it arrived, the cake was stone cold so not nice. The whole experience wasn’t the best, we were the only ones eating until a small group came in when we were in our dessert. Not a place we will return to I’m afraid.

Ordered a takeaway for the first time from this restaurant, arrived at the expected time, had to wait 40 minutes after paying for it!!! Absolutely awful customer service, the mixed grill was ordered & it was extremely disappointing, if I was to give it a rating out of 10 it would be a 2. The Chicken Tikka Masala & Makhani were no better with 6 small pieces of chicken, the only nice bit of the meal was the peshwari naan. An experience not to be repeated.

I first visited this great place in January when I took my Mom for brunch and I loved it so much that I booked to take my husband for their valentine’s dinner. We were driving back from Wales that evening so were restricted for time but Beth was very accommodating and we managed to get a cosy table for two. I have to say that on that evening the dessert, in particular, was to die for! Yesterday lunchtime was my third visit along with my son and his little family and again the food was great. I did have food envy when I saw my son’s ’green eggs’ so another visit is definitely on the cards very soon! 😀

Food is usually really good & menu changes often - staff seem to be getting grumpier recently & service is lacking with being forgotten - especially on dessert course & never asked if we want more drinks in our last visits. Their loss really as after waiting 20 minutes chatting, we then can’t be bothered with waiting for desserts or extra drinks & instead call it a night & pay the bill at the bar as nobody arrives. We always comment about how we would have had desserts but nobody really cares. Sunday roast is also hit & miss, the veg portions differ each time we dine & the potatoes are always rock solid. We’re often given the same veg portion size for 4 of us as we have when we dine as a couple.. which obviously isn’t enough and then either say they’ll charge for more or take 15 minutes to bring it out & it’s then just a bowl of peas after we’re expecting the same again so people miss out - It makes no sense. Just bring the same 2 x portion size, but times it by the amount of couples - it isn’t difficult. We’ve given it a few more chances but it’s been the same & is frustrating that we’ve started going elsewhere on Sundays.
