The best restaurants in Cathedral Worcester West Midlands

5 of us were here on 28th March around 7pm for a friends birthday. When we arrived we were sat on a table of 3 tables pushed together, due to us being a 5 we politely asked if we could remove one table and have one of us on the end as it was her birthday and she didn’t want her to sit alone, they said unfortunately not which was no problem, we’re all waitresses and we understand this more than most people. To compromise we moved one chair to the end of the long table so we could move up so no one was sat alone (leaving plenty of room) the manager then walks over to the table shaking his head, grabs the chair and shoves it (quite rudely) on the other side of my friend, without comment, for the next 15 minutes we received rude glances from across the restaurant from this manager. Shame really ruined what should have been a nice evening, I would like to say the young waitress serving us was lovely - we did take the service charge off but it was nothing to do with her. Real shame her manager ruined it

1HOUR 15 MINS ALLOCATED TABLE TIME~ it’s is like a food challenge without being aware of it! They even asked us to vacate the table even though there were over 6 tables empty!!! To anyone BOOKING ~ COMPLETE TWO BOOKINGS BACK TO BACK ~ to allow yourself ample time to eat and drink in a relaxed way! FOOD & SERVICE 5 STARS!! It’s a shame I am having to leave such a negative review of this restaurant as the food was so amazing and staff were so friendly. I booked a table at 5.00pm when I arrived they stated they needed the table back by 6:15pm, I checked my booking as I was in shock how short the table allocation was and there it was in black and white 1 hour 15 mins. This is all they allow for a diner to read the menu, order, eat, and drink. It simply isn’t long enough we had one round of drinks and mains and didn’t even have time to have the deserts or a second round of drinks. According to the email booking (attached) “We have a leave time in place to ensure all tables are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before the next sitting. We really appreciate your co-operation at the moment to ensure the health and safety of all our customers and staff.” I have never been to a restaurant with such a short leave time 2 hours is the norm but an 1hour 15 mins is impossible to have a relaxed meal or catch up with friends. The place was half empty but at 6:20pm the staff came over and asked us to leave as we were over our allocated time (I found this rather insulating especially after we had spent over £60). We had literally just finshed eating and still had drinks left and were about to order another round of drinks so it really was there lost as we went to an alternative bar. After spending £60 in the burger shop between 2 people I felt like they had got our money and were ushering us out the door so they could squeeze more people in and drain more money from them. An 1hour 15mins Isn’t long enough for a table allocation the restaurant needs to urgently review this as they have lost a customer in both myself and freind as we won’t be returning.

Wonderful food masterfully cooked. Excellent service, very welcoming, kind and patient. Definitely will be back.

Have visited this place multiple times with my partner and is now a go to! So much going on, and the inside it’s just perfect. It had such a friendly atmosphere, where everyone is just there to have a nice evening. The cocktails are brilliant and so are the shots!!! What makes it even better is i believe you can bring in your own food and eat it???? that’s crazy to us but the best thing we’ve heard. Haven’t been on a weekend but gone in the week and it is very quiet. Loads of seating and areas to stand. The bestt

Sunday 9th March the weather is beautiful I walked into baguette man and was met with happy smiling faces and very good vibes and tunes it felt like home away from home and the baguette was delicious best food ever and for a reasonable price the workers were incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. I will becoming back.

Lovely rugby pub very friendly for me to drop my husband off to meet friends after his stroke the staff and locals look out for him

We found both the ladies working here to be rude and unfriendly. Wish we had taken our custom elsewhere. Would not recommend.

Great sandwich and coffee!!! Just need to make sure your outside area is clean ie tables were awful! Baked Beans and left over 'dried in' food.

Stayed in the hotel. It does have a carpark, but they’re not insured for overnight guests. We parked in a council carpark about 10 mins away and it was £5 for 24 hours. The pub does smell a bit funny, but its small and cute. The room with the breakfast hamper only cost £75 so we were expecting it to be quite basic. The decor was quite grim and the room was small, but the shower worked well and the bed was comfy enough. The breakfast hamper had some nice pastries, but they left it outside our room and the milk was off. This seemed a bit daft as there was a fridge in the room, so they could have put it in.
