Lovely, friendly service and great choice of drinks and cakes. Definitely recommend the salted caramel milkshake!

Was passing and thought reviews look good let’s try. Disgusting food and tired looking shop. It’s like going back to the 80s. Burnt chips that have been sat too long. Old meat on, rudest server I’ve ever come across. It’s a ghost town there don’t bother. Reviews are definitely from the locals, if your not local they have a problem. Strange people

The Thai Lanna is a small restaurant perched upstairs at the end of a road, and in the dark you'd probably drive right past it. But it's a total gem of a place. Quiet and homely, with an understated Thai atmosphere. The menu is wide and varied and special requests were catered for with zero question or fuss. Food was beautifully presented and so tasty. Service was attentive and friendly without being over the top. We would definitely return and would recommend in a heartbeat.

I have recently returned to the Jack Jigger Taylor and have to say, it’s totally turned around since first opening. The staff are fabulous and very welcoming, great entertainment and atmosphere! Headed to this bar but before we went my son made a call to see if there was a dress code. We were told no joggers or white trainers. Upon arrival, the door staff welcomed us and did the usual, nothing was said to one of my sons who was wearing a hooded top. Seated and ordered a round of 5 drinks, once those had been served, the barman, who seemed agitated with his bar staff when preparing drinks came along and told my son to remove his top, bear in mind he wasn’t sat with the hood up or anything and the reason he had it on is due to a skin condition, he is at a self conscious age. As he wasn’t comfortable to take it off, we were asked to leave! I said we would call a taxi, finish our drinks and then leave. In the time we were there, all of 10 mins, the door staff, albeit very nice, they were following orders asked us twice how much longer we were going to be! Now a word of advice, upon entry and someone has clothing you don’t like before you allow them in and spend their money, ask them if they would be comfortable or able to remove the article. My son was made to feel humiliated, not a good start for a new business venture!

Stopped by Open House for the second time whilst visiting from Suffolk , and was very much looking forward to eating here again . Went for the Himalayan Lamb Curry this time while my other had chicken tikka masala and Debbi had sirloin steak cooked rare and as she said “ perfectly cooked and delicious “. Easily the sign of a good chef to nail a good steak . My curry was outstanding , fresh flavours, well balanced and clearly cooked by a man who knows his spices and how they compliment each other . Mother was very happy with her tikka masala , not my personal taste normally but it tasted good and not overly sweet and creamy as it so often does . Three meals with accompaniments and a bottle of wine for just over £55 so excellent value and Prakesha ( hope that’s the correct spelling ) is a polite and professional host . Will definitely be back next time we are visiting Brownhills .
