The best restaurants in Bagnall and Stanley Staffordshire Moorlands West Midlands

Went there today with my daughter and grandson, the meal I ordered was the flat bread with lamb pieces on it, first impressions it looked nice although the chips were really well done quite dark brown, but the lamb was awful it was pieces of fat, I mentioned it to the waitress who just said ok, her reaction was really rude, and made no apology for the lamb, but all the way through our visit she never smiled once, so with that attitude we won't be visiting the travellers again any time soon.

The meal today was not great, the lamb was very fatty, did tell the waitress about it but it fell on deaf ears wasn't interested at all, very poor attitude, won't be visiting there again anytime soon.

Went for lunch Saturday 3may 2025 very disappointed with the food and service ordered gf fish chips the fish was so hard I could not eat it they said it was because it was gf ,had fish chips at other restaurants and it as always be lovely, they did me at another fish with no batter but by the time it came my chips were cold ,had no apology think the staff thought it was funny,will not be going back

We absolutely loved every minute of our wedding meal at The Stafford Arms. The food was perfect, and the service was flawless from start to finish. The staff worked incredibly hard to make sure everything ran smoothly, and their attentiveness didn’t go unnoticed. All our guests were happy and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you for helping make our day so special!

We recently visited with our granddaughter during the half-term holiday. There is a children's menu which was good and she really enjoyed the garlic bread starter and the pasta she had for her main course. Our food was also of a high standard, my wife had a rib eye and I had the lamb rump both of which were cooked to our satisfaction We were looked after by Charlotte, who was so lovely and helpful, I can't sing her praises enough It was a lovely evening and not to expensive

Took up the Wednesday offer of £20pp, for 2 courses, which includes a bottle of wine. Sat in the conservatory with our dog. Great value and service.
