Lovely, traditional old style pub. I became somewhat a local to this pub during some work I was doing in the area however loved my time visiting here. Friendly staff, lovely drinks and plenty on offer and even the locals were friendly! Would definitely recommend this place!

Welcoming friendly pub with a lovely added extra of the locals dogs that visit š We've been a few times for family meals thank you Jamie for delicious food, the staff are wonderful, so helpful and nothings to much, a great atmosphere. The locals are all very welcoming. Thanks so much and looking forward to the next visit.

Reasonably priced lunch menu! 2 courses for just under Ā£13 or 3 for around Ā£17. The restaurant was busy but we were greeted enthusiastically and the table was available even though we were early! Food came quickly despite the rush and our waiter was informative - providing information on allergens (one of our party was gluten free) also, all staff were friendly and they have vegan coleslaw! Lovely and will be back again š

Not had a meal from here for a while. Friend told me it was really good at the moment. And it was. Special chow mein pork fried rice and SS chicken balls all very nice. Think £2.40 for prawn crackers is unnecessarily expensive especially as others give them free. All the good was good and service was quick.

This restaurant goes through changes of management quite frequently (as we live quite close) but from other reviews it seems the current management have been there from July so they have had time to address issues. It's been a year since we last went and it has gone downhill quite significantly. The seats are ripped and poorly repaired (coloured gaffer tape). We had two servers, one was warm and friendly the other had a t-shirt on covered in stains and didn't really give a damn that we could barely read the menus due to the lighting being so dark - presumably so you can't see how run down the place is. The chair fabric was fairly disgusting and dirty. I had the most expensive starter on the menu - the Black Pudding - and I'm fairly sure that it was so thin of slice to be translucent. No attempts were made on presentation for the kids food and we had to ask for peas that should've come with the dish. My burger didn't come with Coleslaw (not 'Slaw - we are not American) as they'd 'not got any'. The beer was awful and I didn't finish my pint of 'Proper Job'. I think I'd recommend that you wait until the next management take over as we will not be back until then either. This was previously a really good pub, but it's Weatherspoon's quality with restaurant prices.
