Searched for pubs in the area to eat at whilst away for a night in Clive and we found this absolute gem of a pub. Although it was busy they found us a seat in the window. Cozy, welcoming and the most delicious food. The lady who took our order was so lovely as were the other members of staff who served us. I had steak and ale pie, my husband had steak, both were mouth wateringly good. If we ever visit the area again, we will be sampling more of the menu. Thank you for an enjoyable evening meal

Called here for a brew on our return from a hospital appointment and ending up having Breakfast! We have passed this cafe many times without calling! We found out this morning just what we have been missing! A warm friendly welcome, a good hearty breakfast and a good cup of tea for a reasonable price. what more could you ask?

Very pleased to say that me and my family had a wonderful experience this weekend just gone, lovely atmosphere, felt very welcome and the food was well above par! Classic pool table that took two 10p's which I haven't seen in forever, dart board and a wood burner too. Lovely place to be. :)

Stayed her for 4 nights wish having a break with friends. The owners are friendly, and really welcoming. The breakfasts are spot on and cooked to order and of a really high quality. We ate in the restaurant all 4 nights -again the food was excellent loads of choice so there was no issues being in the same place 4 nights running. Our room was plenty large enough, loads of storage and a good sized bathroom which would benefit from a blind on the window 😁 This is a great place to stay if you want to visit Shrewsbury and everything it has to offer

Went here for lunch for the first time yesterday with the hubby and mother in law and was really impressed with their £6 lunchtime menu. It's a scaled down version of their main menu, but, the portion was good, and so was the food. I had spiced chicken goujons in a brioche bun with chips and coleslaw which was lovely. The mother in law gave half of her fish to my husband as it was too much for her, and my husband ordered the gammon with a choice of two eggs, two pineapple or one of each. I would recommend you give this Monday to Friday lunchtime menu a try. Well worth it. Good service by friendly staff too👍.

We came along to the tearoom with our family who were visiting for the holiday, had lunch and it wasn't the standard expected. My daughter had a panini, and after taking her first bite she had a huge hair in it taking it back she asked for a replacement, and queried no bacon to which she was told it would be an extra £1.50 She paid it and when the new panini arrived it had bacon sure enough...... it was really fatty, she wasn't happy and didn't eat the other half of it. The staff are young and in experienced with the public as didn't know how to address the public correctly, called me love! Food was less than average with nothing adventurous in the salad bowl, just the usual lettuce pepper tomato and Cucumber. No dressing, it was bacon &chicken, the chicken was breaded, overcooked hard with re- constituted chicken yuck- £9 down the drain. I'm so disappointed, we have been coming to this garden centre for many years and I have to say it's the worst meal I've had! I hope that maybe the chef/cook has a more varied and better thought out menu with more interesting things, not breaded battered everything!
