Great little locals pub. The staff and customers were very friendly and the beer was well kept. The garden area at the was lovely to sit outside with a cold beer.

Like the previous reviewer, I too have been charged for an online order that did not go through (since discovering the place has closed!). After waiting for 5 minutes, I realised the order was not going through. I never received a confirmation email either, so assumed that was that. However, I have been charged for the order. This happened last night and I now see the link to the website has been removed from Google. I ask that the owners (old or new) please contact me to arrange a refund.

Absolutely love a night at Bangla cottage. Always a warm , friendly welcome, the food is always consistently good and excellent value. Highly recommend.

Visited here on Saturday lunchtime as reviews on here positive. On entering the floor was sticky. Soft drinks were in cans and had to ask for glasses. Menu sticky. Food took ages to come and the pub was quiet. Positives: naan was good, chicken tikka wrap liked by family member. Chips ok and hot. However, the chicken madras meals had rock hard chicken. I would say it was old and reheated. No member of family ate the meat. The rice looked green and watery. Not nice. Told staff re chicken and still charged full amount. Didn’t want to cause scene as a family member invited me and paid. Will not return. Avoid.

Have been a few times and even rang on occasions to ask if food been served at lunch time. Get told yes after 1pm. Go at 1pm to be told no food. Tried another weekend at lunch time after 1pm told yes food went down then told no food. Went again recently told we could order food but there was a wait. Almost an hour later told no food that we ordered. Cancelled order. Seems hit and miss on day for food at lunch time which is a shame.

Now the port has gone and the island house as taken over the food is absolutely gorgeous, the shop is spotless the staff are very polite, first time in ages I've enjoyed a takeaway but this was spot on .

Awful Pizza, Went here for the 5 star hygiene rating. Roni Roni as they call their double pepperoni comes with 12 minuscule pieces of pepperoni on a 6 slice pizza. HILARIOUS! Ready rolled dough from the refrigerator and what looks like a supermarket pizza with toppings added. Avoid if you like quality pizza.

We were made to feel so special the service was fantastic, lovely ambience. Kaz our waiter was very attentitive and made some good recommendations tailoring our food to our individual degree of spice level. We took our own wine in which straight away was uncorked restaurants down south take note. No hidden service charge in fact no service charge at all. In fact you want to tip. If your local to Dudley your lucky to have this little gem of a restaurant. Thank you for an excellent meal.

Driver pleasant, order notes were not read or adhered to, salad was missing from our order meal 3. Food was nice but looked as if it had been rushed and threw together :( which is unusual for this restaurant. Hoping this was a one off.

It's a lovely and welcoming place to eat and enjoy! Food delicious and well presented definitely go again and recommend to others aswell 👍

Now called Zahra Spice but name change is only thing noticeably different, having not been here for years. Same excellent food quality, service and atmosphere. Now it's back on our radar I can see this being our regular again. Great to see it full and thriving.
