The Old Bush Bar & Grill in Sandwell

Oh my! Was recommended by friend so expected better than this. No atmosphere at all. Surfaces sticky with old spills everywhere. Really old and drab. Food was not good. Chicken in madras was old reheated and hard. Nothing was fresh except garnish. Daughters meals not the best but edible. Drinks in multipac cans, had to ask for glass. Beer was ok. Rice was green and clumpy, nan and chips were good though. £62 for 1 pint, 4 cans of pop, 3 currys, all rubbish left most, 1 wrap and nugget n chips. Poor value. Worst still was main man came over to clean up and we told him the chicken was very bad, politely, he just nodded and said ok... wont be going back.

Really poor. Avoid at all cost. Worst meal had ever I think. Poor quality chicken, watery green rice, poor quality sauce. Just horrid. Sticky floor and menu. Drink served in cans and not offered glasses. Told staff about poor food and told ‘ok’ and walked off. Do not go there.

Excellent food. Piping hot, fresh, full of flavour and nicely presented. We had the Murg Makani which was delicious and the garlic chips were out of this world. Highly recommend. A hidden gem in the Black Country.

Interested to go again. Different having a pub doing Indian food. Didn't get to try the food as some of our party were put of by the standards of hygiene in the bar. Beer was nice, staff seem friendly and other visitors were enjoying the pub.

We were regulars a few years ago but moved from the area. Had a chance to pop back today and the food is just as good as remembered. Lovely venue. Best Butter Chicken I've ever had.

The staff there are very fulfilling with laughter and joy and are willing to do whatever they can to make sure you enjoy your time at The Old Bush. The food is also surprisingly really tasty hence it is a pub. The Royal grill is a must I must say!!! Will be visiting again.

Best pub in tipton, I come every week and the hospitality and atmosphere is 10 out of 10. Food is delicious and drinks are always 100%. Lovely beer garden with amazing view of the canal. I recommend this pub to everyone.

Sorry, but the food didn't taste authentic. I had a Jalfrezi and was no spice to it. Watery and flavourless.

Great food, nice cold beer and a sunny day with a great view. If you have a taste for spice? I'd have to say they can make some epic spice food. Mix grills that's are truly awesome and thats just for starts. One of the most welcoming and friend pubs I've been to ever. Great staff and customers that are welcoming to all.

Getting dirty. No toilet seats. Door locks broken. Sticky tables. Expensive for drinks

I've been along this part of the canal many times (cycling to Wolves) and this was my first time visiting with a friend. Honestly a pleasant experience, would revisit when on our next bike outing.

Came here Saturday 8th July to see Tom from West Brom and celebrate a friends birthday. Great atmosphere and the good is amazing. Portion sizes great and were loaded with flavour. Will return soon.

Ordered a royal mixed grill. And 2 garlic naan and 1 chilli naan. And masala chips. Asked for boneless so no wings which was done . Hands down one of the best grills going. it was banging 3 of us couldn't finish it

We asked if we could sit in a place where the Tv was off,to watch to football game as there was more quite , and they straight way welcome us ,and give the best service ever . Had to leave before even being served, burning spices and chilli smell in the bar, made our eyes water and cough and feel sick, couple of other people standing walked out.

This place is the one to go too in Tipton for a top Indian bar and grill 🔥👌🏽. The staff are amazing, friendly, professional and take care of you and which makes it a pleasure to be there and it’s such a chilled atmosphere. I would recommend to anyone and I always use this place when I’m in Tipton. 5* place, staff and food Well done guys keep up the good work.

We called in here while going to a show at the town hall. So glad we did, staff were so friendly and welcoming, food was amazing and great atmosphere with Karaoke going in the bar. Resonably price too. Highly recommended

Had a lovely meal here as a mother's day treat. Large portions, tasty food, friendly and nice canal setting and best part was dogs are allowed. Definetly recommend. Even gave takeaway containers for left over food. My tea sorted tomorrow .

Bit of a grotty pub. Food was quite spicy. I ordered buttered chicken with rice and nann bread. This is the pub speciality. Did not taste like any buttered chicken I have previously eaten. I personally would not ho back here.

All order never arrived waited for rice by then food was cold had to reheat and it was gritty worst Indian I have ever had never again and for apology 2 free poppadoms disgraceful

Me and my husband had dinner here for the first time on Valentine's day. The pub was lovely and comfortable, the staff was welcoming and friendly. The food was great and the portions were so big we took home the leftovers. Will definitely eat here again 😁

OMG..... Was skeptical on ordering Indian food in a pub... not any more, especially from the Bush! We eat Indian food when ever we can and the meals we had this evening were FANTASTIC. When we are next in the area we will most definitely be eating at the Bush. ***** food, beer, Banks's Ambar, service and pleasant conversation.

Had the Veggie Grill and it was so good. Came out sizzling and tasty.

Went here last week for a mid week family meal. Excellent service, food was lovely and a nice atmosphere. The barman was so friendly and hardworking. Reasonably priced and the beer was good. I had the house curry which I would highly recommend. My daughter had a balti which she loved and my husband had a fish pakora wrap which he said was really good. The kids menu is good too and my youngest had sausage and chips. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be returning.

Heard a lot of good reviews on this place so thought we'd pay a visit, had chicken curry, I noticed the chicken pieces seemed dry and had skewer marks in, as tho it had been on a BBQ or a grill. The next morning both of us were ill, couldn't get off the loo and feeling really sick, so evidently the skewered chicken had been "re-used in another dish, sorry to say but we won't be eating at the old bush again,

What can I say about the old bush well I came to visit son 3 years ago and went into the bush for a meal wow got a real black country welcome from staff who treated us as old friends. Especially a guy called Palmer what an amazing man so friendly he introduced us to the regulars and again treated us as family. Food was good and reasonably priced as where the drinks now every time we come up north we will not leave till we pop in and the reception we get is always the same. So if you want good food and drink a friendly atmosphere I suggest you give the old bush a try On Saturday night we went in and there was a live band which was excellent everyone had a really good night I recommend you go on a live band night just to see Palmer dance.

Only stopped here for a drink so can't comment about the food.
