Me and my boyfriend visited for the first time tonight after a recommendation, and we were not disappointed. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. There was a brilliant offer today which was great value for money. The food was great! one of the best we've ever had. Would defiantly recommend and we've already booked a table for our next visit.

Saturday night took my family to our local restaurant Spice lounge! Was greeting by a lovely waitress and promptly taken to our table for 6.Our orders were taken promptly and lovely crisp Papadoms serviced with proper quality dips and generous portions too, compared to others in the area.Chicken puree was too die for, never had this amazing quality fresh moist chicken bursting with soo much flavours. My usual Nagarushni as always Fanatically hot and flavoursome. Mushrooms pilau rice was really nice too. Rest of my family had a mixture of various starters and curries all which was wiped clean.Washed it down nicely with the unlimited drinks.Service seemed rather pleasing, not rushed, and really attentive but not overbearing!!!The new waiter suggested the Fantastica from desserts menu which we all throughly enjoyed. One suggestion however, I would recommend a slightly more variety of desserts menu.Thank-you all for such a brilliant evening and amazing food. Would definitely recommend as my curries were tailored to how I like them!!

We reserved table for 4 for a Friday night at 7.30pm. We arrived and it was empty and remained so for the time we were there. The staff were friendly, but as it was empty there wasn't much of an atmosphere. The meals we ordered had hardly any chicken in them and when the waiter asked how the meal was we showed him the dishes, each of which had 3-4 small pieces of chicken and for price, we thought this was not good value. Waiter told us the chef counts 7 pieces of chicken into each meal! Obviously he was cutting down on this evening! There was no apology, that was it. Not impressed and won't be going back.

Best I've tasted in a while. So fresh, can clearly tell this chef truely takes pride in his flavours... Specialities dishes are absolutely amazing. Service could however could be slightly tweaked. Thank-you spice lounge for a brilliant meal.

Booked a table for 3, this being our second visit to the Spice Lounge & once again had an enjoyable evening, food & service was good, no complaints, will be visiting again.

We have visited this local restaurant several times and although the food has always been good we feel that the service was always slow which made the visit less enjoyable. The 4 course deal is good value for money.

Can't coment on the food we never got it over an hour after had ordered food driver phoned to say was at wrong address 25 minutes later still no food so had to cancel. No apology when phoned to cancel they couldn't care

Me and my family booked in for new years eve, 16 of us, as we walked in the restaurant was completely full and we noticed 2 waiter's just finished setting out our table and we were promptly seated, offered drinks.As we ordered Papadoms were brought out with generous amounts of side dips and salad.Starters, tasting amazing and again generous portions on large plates and amazing curry's too.Thanks for a great night once again Spice Lounge.

This has to be the best Curry house in tipton, and probably the whole area. "H" the owner is fantastic. Always there for a helpful, suggestion from the menu. His staff are brilliant and always on hand. The food is second to none " try the Bengun chicken " superb. If you want a really good curry in nice surroundings and good service try this place !! The waitress with the neck tattoo is tops. ha, ha.

The food was late majorly. The time of arrival was originally 9:45 then changed to 10:10 then didn't arrive until 10:50. Phoned the restaurant and said that the meal could have been at least 5 pound cheaper if we had phoned them directly. Not impressed

We visited this restaurant on a Friday evening as we were on a barge holiday and had moored nearby.We hadn't booked. There were 4 adults and an 8yr old.We were shown to our table(s) which were 2 round tables pushed together - not ideal maybe but, as stated, we hadn't booked.The food was utterly amazing! Quite easily up there with the best any of us have had before.They cater for children who don't eat Asian food and the service we received was excellent. The attention given to my son was really lovely rather than him just being ignored and only the adults spoken to.Sadly, it is very unlikely we'll be back in Tipton again in the near future but this restaurant could just be the reason we will go back!

Our waitress Callie gave us the best experience of this restaurant as she was very polite and we made great friends with her and it was well worth the visit., food and other members of staff were also outstanding

The accuracy of my reviews mean a lot to me and I have written good reviews of the CL. I have always enjoyed the food and the company of the staff but we have had the odd "issue" with the atmosphere and this was brought to a head yesterday. Whilst the food didn't live up to expectations what ruined the night was a large group celebrating a youngster's birthday party. They thought they owned the place with a few of the party intent on shouting inane rubbish. Worse was half a dozen uncontrolled screaming kids running round the place with some in their mum's high heels on the laminate floor, it was loud in the extreme. The front door was constantly being opened, even a shoe was thrown at the window - it was dreadful and all ignored by the staff! Was it me being overly sensitive? I have been to more restaurants than most and have never had such a bad experience before. One party of four came in and left without ordering, in fact without even sitting and we should have done the same but I was too hungry and we did think they were leaving. I can now understand why many customers were opting for take-aways.I can appreciate the staff's dilema, do they upset a large party of locals and tell them to cam down and keep the kids seated or do they risk upsetting the other diners?My opinion? If this restaurant wants to amount to something which I think it can based on its food, then it has to consider what type of clientele it needs to take it forward.Sadly after Saturday's experience it will no longer be us or I suspect the table that didn't stay - perhaps it is a one off but I work hard for money and I don't like wasting it.

Arrived with a few friends and family didn't book and got seated quite quickly. There was only one other table in the restaurant that was a large group. Staff took 30 minutes to take our order.. once ordered food took 1 hour 45 minutes to arrive, once the food did finally turn up half the table received side orders whilst others received main meals. After complaining to the waiters again about the service they didn't have much to say and all sort of hid in the kitchen. I'd finished my main course by the time they came out with my rice which I said I didn't want anymore as I'd finished. When we came to pay we approached who seemed to be the manager to complain about the lousy service we received in hope he may provide some discount on the bill as a gesture of good will. He didn't want to know and expected I still paid for my rice which didn't arrive until everyone had finished eating. I would never go back there again the food was nothing special and the service was absolutely shocking! Never again.

I have reviewed this place before and because I love their pathia and friendly staff we have been back several times since. I have always found the Spice Lounge to be consistently very good, the atmosphere can be a bit lacking at times but don't be put off everything else makes up for it. They are having a new menu soon which I'm looking forward to, in the meantime they are trying out a few things incl masalla chips which are new to me.In a nutshell, great food, service and value. They have their own convenient access from the rear car park they share with the Co-Op. Take your own alcohol.

Excellent food as usual. Looking forward to the new menu. Hanz is a great host. Went twice this month. Once with the Tipton Curry Club and the other with friends. Child friendly.

Been to this restaurant a couple of times visited it last night and it gets better each time we go. The signature dishes are a recommended choice full of flavour and really tasty. The Staff are very friendly and it's good value for money. A credit to the owner Hanz look forward to a return visit.

Only live 3 minutes away and a 1.50 delivery charge is a joke after putting up prices on curry. Then delivery driver did not have change so had to let him keep it won't be coming back anytime soon most other places free delivery on 3 miles. And think you should give delivery drivers change!!!

Had the special masala and it was beautiful . Delivered early and piping hot . The rice is much better since using metal trays . Would also like to compliment hanz on dealing with any complaints promptly and professionally. Thankyou :-) drivers always very pleasant and polite I would highly recommend this place .

Absolutely bang on!!! Please try the "Punjab Khas Murgi" one of the specialities dishes. This was a Fantastic, lovely tasting and freshly prepared dish. Customer service excellent as usual. I highly recommend this restaurant and this particular dish.

Good delivery time and great food will be using again

I rely on my gut instinct, it even forms a large part of my day job and I'm rarely wrong - ok perhaps I'm pushing it but I wasn't feeling it in respect of the Spice Lounge.On a recent visit to Tipton the place opposite seemed far more popular and I didn't see that many in the Spice Lounge so I followed the local crowd. Given the fact that the apparently more popular of the two didn't float my boat I didn't try this place until tonight, some months later. In truth I wouldn't have gone if it wasn't for the reviews and I'll have to admit to thinking that some of them looked a bit suspect but I wanted to try somewhere new tonight.On entering it was pretty quiet and I was wondering why, however we had a very warm welcome from a rather pretty young lady so I thought it would be rude not to stay. The waiter came and he seemed to know his menu which is often not the case, all the more impressive as there is a considerable choice. Often the "specials" are just minor tweeks to the usual but it appears the ones here are more bespoke so after the mandatory poppadoms I went for the recommended (for me) South Indian chicken after my usual sheekh kebab. The wife had a salmon tikka starter which is not on the menu plus a balti, my daughter an onion bhaji and a chicken tikka masalla. The poppadoms & dips aren't cheap but generous portions and we really liked the tamarind sauce. A good start which got better when the starters arrived. All were really good with the salmon tikka rated (by my ex chip shop owner wife) as outstanding! A few more tables arrived and the atmosphere improved. The mains next, and they had a hard act to follow but again they exceeded expectations. We enjoyed them so much that there was nothing left to take home, even the sides were eaten which is a first.for us. Service was very pleasant and the timing between courses was just right but more importantly there seemed a genuine effort to please. And so after what was expected to be a mediocre night turned out to be one of our best! So why not 5 stars then you ask, well I'm harsh and the fries could have been slightly darker, the fire exit door needs painting plus the H & C had been nicked off the taps. Heaven knows why this place isn't busier as I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. I apologise for doubting the reviews below, take your own booze and enjoy.

On the way back from work I popped in here with a friend for a take away,as we've had a few from here in the past and have being really enjoyable and up to the standards that food should be from a BANGLADESHI restaurant .... 10:45 place still near enough to it's capacity which is a really good sign and that owner "HANZ" must be still doing something that others near by don't or aren't... Wonder what the secret it is to this place,anyway great staff great service and above all wonderful desi style dishes.Thanks mate see you soon.JOE JOERUL

I dont know what happened but the meal was not up to usual standards . I had watery balti and thr rice was mushy . My fella had masala fish and he said it was not very nice . Delivery time was great just a shame about food . We have never had a problem before . : (

I've been here twice and each time it hasn't disappointed me. The food was flavoursome and the service is up to high standard. Though the fish and prawn starters I had today were excellent,the masala fish I had the first time was heavenly incredible. Will definitely return and try them again. It's noteworthy to mention their papadum sauce, both yogurt mint sauce and mango chilli sauce go really well with papadum. My friend,her aunt and I didn't leave anything on our main course plates. The good were all gone within 15 minutes. Recommend this place to all who love Indian and Bangladesh cuisines.

We have ordered from Spice Lounge before and have never been disappointed. Ordered at 7pm on a Saturday night and were really impressed when it arrived at 7.35pm- cannot fault the delivery time! Unfortunately the pasanda was very watery and bland, expect it to be mild but normally there is a lovely flavour. I hope this is a one off. Everything else was great!

I always visit this restaurant as it is the best Indian restaurant I have been to. The service is amazing and the staff are always looking after you which is a bonus. The music is great and the food is delicious. I recommend this restaurant to everyone and I always manage to take my friends who have never been to show them what it's all about.
