Ordered a few times here. Amazing portions - they don’t scrimp on size. Good taste and flavour. I really like ordering from here!

Went on a very quiet night food was delicious and service was excellent will definitely return.

ordered 2 lamb madras and 2 egg fried rice. the lamb meat was tough and couldn't eat it. the egg in the rice was overcooked and brown in colour(the egg). very disappointed. spent £34 and threw most of it away. would not recommend this place a complete waste of money. never again

Very disappointed! This place has declined since the new ownership! We had an allergic reaction after being told the dish was allergen free, despite us asking and double checking. Will not be returning here again.

We went to the Red Oven for dinner at around 5.30pm, we entered the restaurant to an incredibly rude staff member who initially ignored us until promoted by the uber eats driver to seat us. The waitress then sat us with a sigh, the table, floor and glasses were filthy. We asked for yhe glasses to be changed and after pulling her face she took the glasses away without an apology. We decided to leave mainly based on the service, however we were the only customers there and the restaurant clearly hadn't been cleaned since the night before. We regularly order take out from this restaurant but won't again after the service we experienced.

Reliable and good customer service.

Driving back ftom home to Worcester after going a show in Birmingham we decided to go for a curry. Despite not booking and arriving at about 10:50 at night, we were welcomed in. We were all vegan. The vegi choice is massive and they made sure that our dishes were fully vegan versions. The quality of the food itself was excellent. Good qualty ingrediants coupled with some really expert chefery. Taste was rich and complex. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recomended.

They pretended they did not recieve the order. Then the same lady called back sayiny it was a mistake and order was recieved and its on its way, food was cold and chips stale. Poor Customser service. very stressful expedience.

the food was lovely, very tasty. it did take a while to arrive, we are only 10 mins away but it took about 1h5m to arrive. everything was hot and freshly prepared however. the BBQ prawns were amazing. we will be back for more!

I’ve tried loads of different things now & the food is always good!

It's been the first time we've eaten at Red Oven in a while. We had the banquet meal on the menu which is made up of three tasty courses. We'll definitely come again! Highly recommend if you're local to the area 😊

My dining experience at Red Oven, a Bar & Grill, left much to be desired. Hoping for an authentic taste of Punjab, I found the reality fell short of expectations. The curries lacked the vibrant spices and depth synonymous with Punjabi cuisine, while the naan breads failed to impress. Despite the culinary letdown, I must acknowledge the attentive service provided by the staff, which added a touch of positivity to an otherwise lackluster experience. In conclusion, Red Oven failed to deliver on authentic Punjabi flavors. With low quality curries full of garam masala and lackluster naan breads, I'm hesitant to return anytime soon.

Highly recommended. All five of us were very happy with the quality and quantity of the food. The waiters were very attentive but not 'pushy'. We would definitely return.

food was great loved the naan bread but I payed for a poppadom and never received it which I'm not to botherd about because they sent me free poppadoms out before but still would of been nice to have a poppadom with the meal though but still great food at one point the food changed but seems to have gone back to normal now which I'm happy about

I live in handsworth and it's hard to find a great curry takeaway that is good. I have a two year old that doesn't like curry so I can't come and eat in. I Have just ordered for the first time, loved the food! Definitely be ordering again. Was a bit of a wait for delivery, but I can understand if these people are on high demand because the food was delicious! Definitely worth while !

the only negative thing about this restaurant is the female delivery driver who is extremely rude. otherwise the food and service are outstanding, I would highly recommend. If the food wasn't so good I would not order from here purely on the delivery driver and the fact I complained directly to the restaurant and they confirmed she did not work there often as she was just covering at the time and then she delivered my food again the following week and I had no follow up to my complaint.

Food was really nice however lid wasn't secured on one of the meals and half spilt out, slightly annoying 😑

We went last night. Good service,atmosphere good. There was live muisc singer. We ordered lamb dish. I found lamb was very grisley,poor quality, bharat was very pureed. Not very good to eat. Only thing was good onion nan. Sadly 😥 not enjoyed ,but couldn't fault service. Please get good quality lamb. New talbot does excellent lamb. 👌

Food was very tasty and arrived on time. The only disappointment was that the vegetable curry that came with the biryani was just a scoop of the Bombay aloo that I had also ordered rather than a stand alone small curry.

Just had to change a 5 star review that's been here for five years to 1 star. Came for the first time since it was bought out and the order was all wrong. Took about 90 minutes to get the food when we were the only table here. The staff then argued with us instead of accepting his mistake. Was just all round awful. The waiter eventually admitted his mistake - he was using an old docket and thought it was our order. Bit late after all that though.

Been coming here for years but it is under new management 2023. Waiter brought the wrong order then argued with us before realising his mistake. Cheese naan had no cheese in it, chicken dishes hat literally 4-5 pieces of chicken, tandoori chicken was way too dry and hard. Took ages for food to come.

We have been coming to this restaurant for a long time but recently noticed a decline in all the services! But the last straw for me is ordering a takeaway and finding a hair in it. Won’t be ordering again

After being a regular customer of Red Oven since it originally opened in Bearwood, I'm gutted that the new owners aren't able to match the previous quality of food. The takeaway food we ordered today was either bland or just tasted of chilli powder and the pilau totally disappointing. I will not be frequenting this curry house again.

Last minute dinner plans with hubby and came accross this little gem of a place. Our reason for selecting here was its rare to find a non-halal indian restaurant so tgat tocked the box for us, however the service was just as pleasing: attentive, timely but non-intrusive. Food was great (again timley) so no reason for anything but 5 stars accross the board. We shall be taking friends back who also get fed up of ususlly being limited to vegitarian dishes when indian dinibg out. More non halal restaurants please.

The food was nice but I ordered 2 lamb rogan josh and only received one. I called the restaurant and all they said was that their chef prepared 2 portions and packed 2 portions. So either they are incorrect or the delivery person took one of the portions. Go figure.....

Restaurant, spotlessly clean with an open kitchen. Service, welcoming and friendly. Food, top quality and well presented, tasted lovely. We had Lamb and Chicken. Prices very reasonable, we will return.

Have been a customer at Red Oven for years and I've always given 5 stars. First time I've had to give it such a low rating as the chips were stone cold and shriveled up and inedible, naan was cold but reheated to eat. Prawns were overcooked and cold. After delayed delivery and waiting for so long it was very disappointing to waste half the food

Part of the order arrived on time but part was missing so we had to wait for it to be cooked and delivered. This sadly put a downer on my husbands birthday meal and was disappointing

Order was 15 mins later than initially said then arrived without any popadoms which had been ordered. Was then questioned about the order. They did rectify issue 10 mins later. Disappointing.

Absolute nonsense food we ordered chiili chicken…absolutely disaster

Ordered from here for years and last order was terrible. Thought we’d give them another chance - big mistake. As an Indian, I know good food and this is not it. Chef changed, portions smaller, taste no good. Will not order from here again! You had your second chance - disappointed again.

So sad to see my absolute favourite indian restaurant changing management and the quality of food going down with it. I ate there a few weeks ago and found the food a bit disappointing, nothing like what it used to taste before I have been a regular customer for many years and know their menu by heart. Gave it a go again today but it's as disappointing as last time. The recipes completely wrong and takes ages for an okay food to be prepared. Please bring that quality back, this used to be my local indian I'm so gutted!!!

Absolutely disgusting where to start first poppadoms were stale then decided to give them benefit of doubt and ordered a mix platter which included the lamb chops when food came looked fine going threw it we then found a plate full of lamb chop bones so all that was avalible to eat on it was some lumps of chicken and two half of sheek kebab and 2 lamp chops The service was disgusting so rude and then still wanted quiet a bit of money for food we could not due to been put of because of the various reason

We only went here because where we went no longer in buisness. From start to finish the meal and service were excellent . The food portion were plenty . Food taste fresh salad was nice and fresh also . Will be going back in a few weeks also will be booking here for my granddsons 16th birthday family meal . Says it had been delivered when it hadn’t so I rang the shop and they said they hadn’t received our order until 17 minutes ago when I pre ordered and our order was confirmed at 17:05.. now it’s 18:04

Food was lovely and fantastic service

Had a girls night out on Monday, the food was exceptionally delicious 👌. The service was spot on and the portions were plenty but worth every penny. We loved the place ❤️.

Fabulous food, always delivered in time and with a smile. Our favourite restaurant

We were loyal to this place from when it opened. Initially, we would eat in. The food was excellent though the service was amateurish - not slow, but incompetent (never / ever - asking for a drinks order; dropping drink trays in the table (repeatedly); failing to bring the drinks order when reminded repeatedly, etc). But we put up with it for the food. Then they started doing deliveries… disaster! We now had to wait an hour between each course while they prioritised deliveries over in-house customers. We soon became the only people eating-in, and it was obvious why. So, we accepted the inevitable and changed to deliveries (we live very close by). All went well for a few years, until recently. At this point deliveries started taking longer; there were errors; we complained; they apologised; and, finally they delivered a tandoori mixed grill that had been in incinerated beyond recognition as food. Not just over-done, but charcoal. Goodbye Red Oven. We like you as people but you have no concept of customer service.

I ordered take out food and it was delicious. The soya tikka kadhai was immensely flavourful and the portions were plentiful. Great for vegetarians.

We have been there with our family and we must say the food is a lot better and probably the best in bearwood. Proper authentic taste.

Very nice food but I’m not entirely sure the Methi Gohst was a Methi Gohst. It was more like a Passanda being very creamy and it was delicious but it should have been rich with chopped fresh Fenugreek leaf..but as I say, based on my knowledge NOT a Methi Gohst…the Lawsuni rice was very good indeed with a good fried garlic flavour and the veg kofta very good as well. The Pudina parrotta was not as flaky as I would have liked but perfectly acceptable…

Worst food ever . Chicken tikka smells like it goes off I ate little bit then within an hour my stomach was getting upset & getting worse & worse start vomiting in next few hours. Really bad experience never getting back there. Avoid them if you love your health

Take out - Just had Lamb rogan josh, butter chicken, paneer with various naan breads - really tasty really enjoyed my Lamb nice and tender and one of the best I've tasted 🤤 Please keep up with the quality and consistency 🙏🏽

We were so disappointed. We had not ordered a meal from here since October 2022 but decided to treat ourselves. We spent £25 on our meal and it arrived an hour and ten minutes late. We called the restaurant three times and each time were told that the driver was on his way and would be with us in ten minutes. When it finally arrived, the driver had gone to the wrong address and had been wandering aimlessly for twenty minutes. Hence, our food was stone cold and inedible. When I called restaurant to tell them the driver had arrived and the food was cold, I was told 'sorry ma'am, we will give you complimentary items next time you order'. I informed them I would not be ordering in the future. I do not know whether they are under new management, but I have never had an experience like this with Red Oven before. I shall not be ordering anything from here again.

We went there for a meal 8 of us after they under new management and i must say food is fantastic and very nice presentation. The staff is very friendly and the place is spotless. I wish them good luck and i will recommend

Absolutely delicious as always, arrived quickly and food was lovely and hot.

The Red Oven has changed. The food is more expensive and the quality is below the usual standard. This is a pity because the Red Oven used to be the best restaurant in the are. We used to order from here every weekend but have now decided to take our custom elsewhere.

Last two times iv ordered from here the quality and taste hasnt been to the restaurants usual standard ..the chicken jalfrezi was tasteless and the lamb tikka starter was very dry and extremely tough and tasted old and stale ..it was inedible..i gave it a second chance because it was my favourite at one time

Ordered from here numerous times but this time food was terrible. Absolutely Tasteless. 1 dish didn’t even look as normal- it was the wrong colour! Maybe there’s been a change in chef but would think twice before ordering from here again. Really disappointed in an expensive meal that mostly ended up in the bin.

I'm not sure if they have new people in charge of red oven or a new chef but some of the starters and currys that are normally very mild are alot more spicier than normal

The veggie semosa tasted homemade. The marinade around the soy tikka starter was lovely tofu takes well to marinade the nan bread and curry was good to.

Normally a good experience but last night a very poor one. I’ve asked for late delivery compensation but the restaurant refuses so I feel obliged to review as it was.. mediocre food this time and really late delivery.. Because the restaurant won’t entertain my competition they’ll now miss out on lots of £ from us.

20 minutes late. Had to ring the restaurant - said it had gone out (was aleardy 10 mins late) totally unapologetic. Arrived 20 mins late with no apology.

Very Clean and delicious food with great service always

I’ve had better(home cooked and re-heated)veg pakora after a few days, so I would hate to think when these were cooked. They were packed in a foil tray which should of helped to soften the food, but these pakora were beyond any help they should of been put down days ago. Their lamb in the lamb dishes still had the skin on, absolutely unbelievable. Tandoori chicken starter was dry and not very flavourful. The places we normally go to get this kind of food had closed, so here was our last choice. I won’t make this mistake again.

A group of 10 of us went. Everything was of a high standard. A good meal was had by all. Only thing i would recommend is that need a better desserts menu. But even that wasn't a big enough issue to lose a star. Will definitely be going again.

Absolutely pathetic service, there mummy's and daddy's haven't taught them any manors they have a waiting area don't let me wait in there , no Bombay mix , don't give you what you order im not surprised it's always Dead in there rubbish food useless service no respect over. Priced wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy it's an absolute disgrace there's rats running around outside there just pathetic if you go here I feel sorry for you , if you want a good Indian go to hagley road 100x better

Red oven is a gem of a restaurant! The food is excellent! Amazing, authentic Punjabi cuisine which is full of flavour and spice! I’ve never been disappointed in any visit. Plus the staff are delightful!
