Yesterday, owners of this place in West Bromwich, with massive fireworks, nearly set fire to several people in the vicinity. When the complaints started the gang of thugs came racing round and tried to beat them up. Shame!

We didn’t use the restaurant, but had a take-away. We chose Akash Balti West Bromwich a previously (a few years ago) we were impressed with their quality. On this occasion I ordered Sag Paneer, egg fried rice and nan, my husband ordered Chicken omelette and chips. My food was bland, chewy and totally inedible, the egg fried rice was nice, but the nan was partially wet and cold?? My husband said, at best, his choice was okay! Akash is by far one of the more expensive Indian take-aways. We have had far superior quality from a few cheaper Indian take-aways. I now feel their quality has greatly plummeted!! I definitely will NOT be ordering from Akash Balti West Bromwich again in future. Akash, is it all about, how much Money you can make, getting away with inferior, disgusting food. Disappointed, very angry, and a spoiled Celebration 🥺🥺

Went to akash yesterday for a curry the atmosphere wasn't great me an my partner felt as if we was being rushed as soon as starters were finished the curries were put on the table wasn't even asked if our food was okay it wasn't if the restaurant was busy but one of the waiters had not been seen for a long period of time while we was waiting for the bill my partner quickly went to the toilet and saw the waiter come out of the cubicle and never washed is hands I'm sorry but this waiter does mess with our plates and people's knives an forks I'm sorry but if I ad known this I would of walked out definitely won't go back

Not the first time I've eaten here. All the food is well presented, tastes wonderful. Served by lovely staff quickly and table cleared quickly, in spite of this, there is a relaxed atmosphere. Another table had small child. Drinks included Cobra and none alcohol beers.

We arrived with most welcoming excellent, enjoying our meal and my brother already ate his meal and ready for dessert i was enjoying my main meal and having a good time! My brother asked for a dessert menu to the waiters said " Us Indias are unhygienic and have to wait for me to finish my meal to have our dessert" No Thank you! Complaint has been made!!!

Always been a fan of this place. When dining in the food is extremely tasty and fresh. My go to dish and recommendation is the chicken capsilla. Service is always friendly and personal. Why 4* then? 2 reasons. The charge for poppadoms and chutney-this is free in the other local curry houses we go to and the place is not take your own drink. This helps significantly keep costs down at a time where many are struggling. This alone added an additional £17 to our bill and there were only 3 of us. So, whilst they may do one of my favourite dishes, we only visit this place as a treat.

Simply pathetic, no cutlery given do you think am I supposed to eat with my hands when I am at work? The curry was bitter and biryani looked 2 days old. Don’t ever order from here

If you love South Asian food, a visit to Akash Balti is a must. The quality of the food and service is outstanding. Ali and his his staff are unfailingly friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is spotlessly clean and well presented. The menu is extensive and caters for all tastes with some superb speciality dishes for the true curry connoisseur. Quite simply, it is difficult to fault with the expertly prepared meals we have had at Akash. We really love our curries and have experienced restaurants throughout the UK and abroad but Akash is the best, so we can't recommend it highly enough. Stan and Jill Osborne

I've been a couple of times since moving back to the Midlands, and now I know why my mates say, "You can't beat an Akash!" Great selection of dishes, amazing value, very clean and the staff are always so friendly.

We chose from the house special menu. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked with authentic spices. An outstanding Balti experience, highly recommended!

Been in a few times and the staff are great and really helpful. Had a few birthday and leaving gatherings and they have been fantastic!

We were looking for somewhere to stop off for food New Year’s Eve. We drove past and place seemed busy but we were lucky to get a table . What a gem , great choice on menu ! I had lamb and it was one of the best curry’s I’ve had in a long time ! Tasty and not sparse in the lamb ! Delicious but as was a tad too hot for me I asked for some natural yogurt to cool it down a bit . Staff obliged , nothing seemed too much trouble . The staff were polite , quick and attentive without being over bearing . We stumbled across this little gem in West Brom and will defo be returning ! Many thanks to the restaurant.

We had a family meal/birthday for 12 on Christmas Eve. The staff were very accommodating as we had a large birthday cake with us and brought some of our own wine (due to allergies). The service from the staff was excellent and the food was delicious with a wide range of choice. I can recommend the Handy Lamb Curry, the Sag Aloo and the Chicken Tala. We all really enjoyed the meal and get together and thank you to Akash for accommodating us.

Newly refurbished booths and tables light /airy decor can recommend for everyone who expects good food and service.

Best eat in Indian restaurant in the Midlands in my opinion, food is always cooked to a high standard and the staff can't do enough to make you feel welcome. There is beer available inside however the choice is limited but what they offer is cold and a good match with the food served. If you want cheap food don't go here . . . . .if you want good food then this is your winner

Had a takeaway Driver got lost for an hour and a half food turned up £25.40 later food freezing cold

This restaurant was good overall with a reasonable choice of dishes on their menu. I feel they cater more for non-veg customers. We only ordered vegetarian dishes, but found them to be average, nothing special considering they have won awards. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Had a table booked for a works reunion and food along with service was very good. Clean restraurant and friendly staff. Food was plentiful with none left at the end of the evening. Would recommend.

Food was good taste wise but somewhere I felt its not fresh little smell in the chicken and one big eyed waiter was making a bill he took extra 20 £ from total bill..

Don't know if the Management has changed, because we haven't been there in a while but on Saturday night we went on a double date there and was very disappointed with the service, waiter dropped the menu's on the table like we were at Karen's Diner. And it went down hill from there. Won't be going back in a hurry...

Amazing curry absolutely blew my socks off how good it was a real gem in West Brom! We were only visiting and were confused with the pub/curry vibe locally. Have a beer and go here was really stunning

Absolutely rubbish. Food has gone down hill. I asked for a pint of coke but gave me a can and charged me £2.75 for a can. Food was sloppy. I would of preferred to of eaten his dry flip flop

Dined here whilst staying in the area. Amazing food, great service and unbelievable value. The staff were friendly and seemed genuinely humbled when we left a generous tip (which was fully deserved). Would highly recommend this place.

Lovely food although portions were a bit on the small side. Pricing is extortionate, popadoms are £1 each, there are no free starters, they don't tell you the chutney and mint they bring out at the start is charged at £2, there's a 10% surcharge for bringing in your own drinks which defeats the point of doing so.

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 30 years and I can honestly hand on heart say that I have never had a bad meal! The food is absolutely incredible, the staff are amazing and always friendly and happy to help. Prices are great too and give fantastic value! Food was absolutely spot on, great flavours, all executed brilliantly. Delivery driver was great and the service was A1. Brilliant food will be my regular Bangladeshi/Indian from now on, for sure the best in the area.

Came here to celebrate my birthday with 16 friends, whilst my husband and I are regulars; it was the first time for our friends and the first time we had come with a party of this size. Being a Saturday night it was busy, however the service was spot on and attentive and a wonderful ambience and experience. We had chicken tikka, shish kebab and bhaji platters for starters, says it all when nothing was left and everyone said the chicken was moist and spot on. Mains were varied from noodles, to baltis to sizzlers to Capsila - every single meal was served together, piping hot to the correct spice level requested. The food was tremendous and again nothing left. The service is seamless that you don't even realise they are there. Very friendly and I would definitely recommend and all of our friends said they will back again.

Birthday celebration for 16 people, staff attentive and pleasant and friendly, made you feel at ease. Food exceptional, for starters chicken tikka, shish kebab and bhaji platters, not a morsal left. Mains all served together, piping hot and to the right spice level. The meal was exceptional quality, able to bring you own drinks for a small surcharge or buy drinks from the restaurant. Highly recommend, this was the first time for many of our friends and all of them said they will visit again

Best food around. Highly recommend the Chicken Capsilla (Vinadapo hot if you like it spicy!). Very friendly, staff will cater for any of your needs

My husband and I ate here last night on the recommendation of our 2 daughters, and we were not disappointed! Being an older couple our appetites are not what they used to be so we don't usually have a starter just in case we don't have room for our main. But we decided to share a starter and I'm so glad we did, we had fish pakora and it was the best I've ever tasted! the fish was lovely and moist and cooked to perfection and the batter was so light and crisp. My husband is a lover of lobster and has eaten it all over the world, Jamaica, Spain, Thailand, France but he has never had a lobster Jalfrazi, he was so excited as his usual curry dish is king prawn jalfrezi, which you can get at most asian eateries. You can imagine his disappointment when we looked at the menu to see it had been taken off the new menu. The waiter explained that they were not comfortable in passing on the steep increase in price to there customers. He did however keep a minimal stock for regular customers and so lobster jalfrezi it was! When the meal came out it had two large lobster tails served in a beautifully tasty jalfrezi curry. Lobster for £25, perfect meal, perfect price! Can't wait to go back.

I visited here whilst staying in the area,the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was truly fantastic! I had tandoori Lamb chops to start and then a mixed meat Balti Madras strength with boiled rice and a chapati. To summarise Great staff and great food,thanks guys!

Enjoyed a truly wonderful meal with friends who are regular curry eaters. All agreed that the quality and originality were exceptional, and at reasonable prices. No alcohol licence when we went but they were happy for us to bring a drink in.

Have been here a number of times whilst working in the area and has always been a great quality curry. Staff are very friendly too

Tandoori salmon was excellent but the accompanying salad was literally just lettuce and one piece of cucumber. Panner saag was delicious and waiting staff service was great.

I went for the traditional daily special with a paratha. The curry was incredible and the paratha was the best I've ever had. Service was efficient and friendly. Will return.

Very rude staff, food had no taste, came here twice, the first time was awful, came again just incase it was a 1 off and will never come back again. Curry and mixed grill not very good.

We went for a family event. Unfortunately the food ordered was not the right food ordered but we got charged for this. It was very disappointing and spoilt our meal and we we're supposed to have a cake cutting but left before that. The staff and manager were not helpful or considerate to the fact that the food was not correct and we still got charged for this main meal which had been returned. Please think twice before going to this restaurant.

Very poor service, charged us for a dish we returned to the kitchen on 2 occasions. Absolutely poor. Racist to Indians. I wouldnt recommend at all.

Used to love Akash Balti many years ago, went there yesterday and was a little disappointed. Food was bland, service was OK but the place used to be so much more.

After reading the rave reviews, we thought we'd try this restaurant out for a birthday meal. The restaurant is nicely decorated and quite obviously has had good money on presenting itself. Staff were friendly. We ordered the 'garlic mixed sizzler' ....thinking the chicken and prawns etc would come out sizzling on a relatively dry griller...in fact it was in a thick sauce so more like a curry than a grilled item. The 2nd chicken dish was a bit non descript so much so that I couldn't, going back to the menu, and tie in what it was we ordered. The restaurant was very busy .....with others clearly enjoying their food....but I think the fact that they were all non-Asians said it all......this food is a bit of fusion mix made for the Western palate. We were hoping for authentic home made variety of curries. cooked to a high standard by a professional chef. This was not what we received. Despite it being rated the 3rd best restaurant in West Bromwich, we we not be returning .....it wasn't particularly cheap to boot. the 2 curries, 2 nans, 2 poppadums and a can of coke came to just under £27. Not great value.

Staying in the nearby Travelodge we were looking for an authentic West Mids Balti experience. Akash delivered exactly this. Food was fresh, tasty, piping hot and attractively presented; service friendly and informative, and the restaurant itself spotlessly clean and comfortable - we sat in a booth, which always feels secure during these Covid times. Meal was £55 for 4 of us with starters and mains and we were able to BYO from the off license adjacent as they are not licensed. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Not having had a Balti for years we were a little wary , but no need , we ordered a take away and was told 20 mins to collect, being a Sat urday night that was fine, I collected food and found the place nice...

Tried this place for the first time and was not dissapointed. Very nice inside and so clean, toilet's were immaculate. Staff were professional and helpful and the food was beautiful, one of the best meal's I have ever had. Will deffinatly be going back 👍

Brought 50£ worth of food chips came cold and the attitude of the staff was really bad did not want to sort the problem out because we paid cash been going here for years and loyalty isn’t with there customers was spoke to like dirt

I can't even imagine how reckless they are. Total west of money and slept hungry cause of food. I have ordered large grill, somosa and onion pakauda, they gave me bunch of chicken item which looks disgusting and rest are cold. I will never ever recommend to any of my friends and family and make sure for other no to do so. Ruined my night. I have tried more than 5 times no one picked up the call. I felt like someone just robbed me.

Just had takeaway excellent delivery and food

Had a meal earlier this week with family, this is quite an expensive restaurant and for the money the smallest portion of curry I've ever been served. The was curry was ok but not the best I've had. We were offered popadums when we sat at the table as you do at most Indian restaurants, which at most restaurants are complimentary while you look through the menu but at the Akash you see they are added to your bill at the end. I think this restaurant is a bang average curry house selling bang average food at premium prices and I dont think we shall be returning any time soon.
