The best restaurants in West Midlands

We enjoyed a lovely walk and finished at the café. The blueberry and white chocolate cake was amazing, and the staff were very friendly.

Cené con mi familia hace poco y la comida era deliciosa. Si te gusta la auténtica comida india, entonces recomiendo este restaurante. Además, el personal era realmente amable y la decoración era limpia y agradable. En verdad una de las mejores comidas indias que he tenido.

Second time and still the best small restaurant around. Clean with a touch of charm. Caters for any age, and is certainly value for money.

17 of us ate here for Sunday lunch. We were seated upstairs in The Pavilion and had pre-ordered our food as we were a large group. The restaurant is beautiful, spacious, and stylish which made for a lovely atmosphere. There was a mix up with the numbers, but this was swiftly sorted out by a lady who I assume was the manager. She was so apologetic and sorted everything out straight away without us having made any fuss - excellent customer service, and it’s a shame it’s such a rarity elsewhere. The food was fantastic - beautifully cooked, really tasty, and the portions were very generous. I had the roast beef and the beef was cooked perfectly and there was so much of it! We also had desserts - these were so beautifully presented and again, so tasty and such generous portions. I had the sticky toffee pudding which was probably the best one I’ve ever had. The ice cream on the dessert was also a decent size which I am always moaning about elsewhere when it’s usually a skimpy portion! Sadly I don’t live nearby, otherwise it would be a regular choice, but I hope to be back and would definitely recommend it for Sunday lunch!

Another delicious lunch at Chapter 66. The food is stylish and delicious whether you have a simple bowl of soup or the fish cake. We are very lucky to have Chapter 66 in Ludlow. Why eat a horrible sandwich when you can have this standard of food for just a little more?

Unexpectedly found myself with some free time so whilst in Stourbridge, decided to treat myself to a coffee. Having been here a couple of times before but not recently, I asked if they had non dairy milk and they do. I ordered a mocha with coconut milk. It was fantastic, the best coffee I've had for ages. It's a nice environment but it can be busy because it's so good. The staff team members are always friendly and helpful. What's not to love? Highly recommended.

I do frequent the Beacon Bistro, it's very handy for work and their food is fresh, tasty and the staff are always smiling and happy to see you. I can't fault them at all, and would recommend the Bistro and the Brie, Bacon and Cranberry Panini!!

Nothing good to say about my visit, the coffee is so poor that nobody , nobody drank them . The toast was already covered in yellow grease when it arrived I poured it off the toast on to the plate. When we came to pay they could not take a card we had to send someone for cash. This place has to be avoided .

I go to the market cafe to see my lovely friend Celia who looks after everybody who visits the cafe and she works with her lovely staff there. The food is excellent, great value and lovely atmosphere.

Not sure whether it is just my own experience but the landlady is extremely customer UNfriendly, asking payment for glasses of tap water and snidely criticising me on one occasion for having no change, despite her then saying that they had plenty of change anyhow.
