Delicious and great value for money

This is a regular for us. We've been visiting for years and we love it. The food is delicious, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our boys particularly love the cannoli! It is mostly outdoor seating (with good views of the harbour), although there is indoor seating as well. We'd highly recommend it.

Fantastic food served and cooked by really nice, friendly people. Don't let the fact that it's on an Industrial estate put you off, or you'll be missing out. Transport type cafe with everything cooked freshly, but you don't have to wait too long for your hot, delicious food. In or out, your food will be brought to you by very friendly ladies who are always smiling!! Prices are very, very competitive and, in my opinion, the best value for money in the town. Next time we're up from Hayle, we'll be visiting again, and again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The Lion Inn in Timberscombe is a quaint "local" pub with a welcome atmosphere and friendly staff and regulars. It is part of the heart of the local community and this is very apparent in the easy way it welcomes locals and visitors. It doesn't have a restaurant service but there are regular food "events" (generally focused on local events and tastes) on certain Tuesday and Thursday evenings (though not firmly regular so I wouldn't count on it 100%). Full disclosure: I recently moved to the area and the Lion Inn and the friendly community around it was one of the draws for us.

The Hood is always reliable and we have been several times. The food is very good indeed, they have good real ale and the service is excellent so we would recommend it.

Excellent fish and chips, well cooked and a great crispy batter on the fish with good portions and also maybe the best value in Minehead and as a bonus pensioners buying a fish at lunchtimes get free chips..

Was on a long walk with my dog…. Was made very welcome in this beautiful place, perfect cuppa and the very best coffee and walnut cake I’ve ever had. Just amazing! Thank you.
