The best restaurants in Walkham West Devon South West

We had my 50th Family surprise birthday party here, the food was stunning! Great place for adults to relax and the children had a lovely time too. Really welcoming and did not disappoint! The vegans in the family were also well caterered for :)

The food here is amazing and well worth a visit for that. However, we went for Sunday lunch and it was chaos. Service was extremely slow and very haphazard, some wait staff were great, others not so much. Took over 15 mins to get drinks order delivered, almost an hour for mains and 20 mins for desserts, we were there for 2 hours for 2 courses... tried to pay and the server walked away! 5* for food, -1* for service.

Brilliant local pub - good food, great beer and an excellent quiz on a Thursday.

We had a great family meal out. Our girls (10 & 11) were suggested to share a pizza and comment that was “one of the best pizzas ever” - they had free ice cream too! My husband and I enjoyed a steak and a gammon - both delicious! The homemade cheesecake to finish was the icing on the cake. Thank you for a lovely evening - we’re sure to return!

Great freshly cooked fish and chips, ditto the scampi. Nicely packaged. Very Friendly service. Highly recommend.
