We had my 50th Family surprise birthday party here, the food was stunning! Great place for adults to relax and the children had a lovely time too. Really welcoming and did not disappoint! The vegans in the family were also well caterered for :)

Just stayed here, room was really hot with no fan or AC. Two pillows that were awful and uncomfortable, no tv in the room. No extra pillows

A really warm welcome followed by an absolutely amazing Chateaubriand steak. Honestly one of the best steaks we have ever had. We stayed over, and enjoyed the fantastic walks with our dog. The breakfast was amazing as well. If you like steak, go.

Looking at these reviews, I must’ve gone in on a really bad day! I was literally there is the door opened at noon and the first customer in the door. It took around 10 minutes to get my portion of chips so I assume they were freshly cooked. I considered that the prices were extremely expensive so I was expecting half decent at least but I can honestly say, despite the lovely cheerfulness of the owner, these were the worst chips I’ve ever had in my life from a takeaway I might as well have pulled out a packet of walkers crisps onto my plate. They were all refried crispy nothings. There was a little that resemble potato anywhere. I also ordered a pickled onion, which I didn’t actually get, the curry sauce was bland, the sausages were liked by the dogs and extremely overpriced for the size. In fact, the only good thing about this meal was the mushy peas. As I say, maybe I caught them on a bad day, but I would certainly never be returning
