We had my 50th Family surprise birthday party here, the food was stunning! Great place for adults to relax and the children had a lovely time too. Really welcoming and did not disappoint! The vegans in the family were also well caterered for :)

We recently got married (well, blessed!) at Enchanted Woods and had the best time. The atmosphere was perfect, the food was sublime (the wood fired wedding feast was out of this world) and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone had a brilliant time and were very well fed indeed! We had literally no stress in the run up or on the day, as Ben and Leanne took care of everything, making it all look effortless. I’m sure it wasn’t! It’s a truly magical place with everything you need for a rustic wedding in nature that you can put your own original stamp on. They didn’t even bat an eyelid when my now-husband asked if he could bring his two Pygmy goats 😆 we had the happiest weekend with tonnes of laughs and special memories. Faultless from start to finish. Thank you Leanne and Ben. Would 100% recommend. (Have also had a Sunday feast here too and that was just brilliant too)

Very enjoyable feast. Truly a feast of food. You will not leave hungry and all tasty and good quality. Very yummy brownies for pudding. Lovely atmosphere set in an opening in the woods. Peaceful atmosphere, unhurried and welcoming. Friendly hosts. Already choosing our return date.

Enjoyed a lunch here of delicious pork chops and gratin potatoes with homemade applesauce. Beautiful sunny day with tables laid out and lots of places to enjoy good conversation with your date. Favourite spot was the bathtubs converted to sun loungers. Dessert was delicious chocolate brownie. Definitely a place to linger and definitely enchanted.

We visited Enchanted Woods for a ticketed feast event and were not disappointed. The scenery alone is beautiful and serene; we sat among bluebells and took in the surroundings with a coffee. The food was prepared in a large woodfire oven / kiln made from a digger’s bucket! Very cool and great re-use of material. The food was delicious. I ate the fish menu and my partner the vegetarian option. Both of us were given plenty, and the chargrilled taste enhanced the flavours. We also ate chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert, which again was incredibly tasty. The whole area was child friendly and our daughter loved exploring the area with us. I’d highly recommend Enchanted Woods, and we’ll be returning!

This restaurant was popular, but, being quite small, has CLOSED at this spot, but HAS MOVED to FORE STREET about 300 yards to the East, near the East Okement River, and its name has changed to " The Allotment ", as it uses food all supplied locally. I highly recommend it for a smiley welcome & good wholesome food. Now sells jams & preserves.

Amazing!!!! Food and service is always 5*. We are regular customers and wouldn’t go anywhere else for dinner. All reasonably priced and a lovely atmosphere with super helpful and friendly staff.

Had a wonderful lunch at The Oxenham. We have eaten here many times and keep coming back because we are never disappointed. The food was exceptional, very good value and the lovely Fran was very welcoming and could not have looked after us any better. I always have the steak because I cant get a better one anywhere else. We will return as soon as we can.

Luxurious Stay - We stayed for 2 nights at this beautiful hotel which is modern with a relaxing and homely feel. The rooms were immaculate, our breakfast was waiting for us in the dining room each morning , and was both excellent quality and plentiful. We will definitely recommend and stay again in the future.

Good flavour to all the the dishes the four of us had but 3/4 left hungry. The prawn starter is a joke. 3 frozen prawns with a smidge of soy sauce - where was the rest of it?! The cheese starter is huge by comparison. The duck main was the size of a starter. The crackling was ok but gone in the blink of an eye. All of us had three courses and filled up on toast when we got home.
