The best Chinese takeaway in the whole of Devon! This is not a joke- the food is delicious and freshly made! We always treat ourselves to this Chinese as every other takeaway we had (we live in Barnstaple) just does not match their quality. 100% recommend!

I have been working at Bideford Bay holiday park for 7 months and this became my go to Indian takeaway although it is also a small restaurabt, I didnt eat in. I recommended to everyone who visited the holiday resort I worked on who were holiday makers from out of the area. REALLY fresh food, each dish sooo tasty, great portions, good prices and all round delicious. Lovely team too. 100% recommend.

Ate here twice. Food is reasonably priced. However, no fish in the fish pie and I am 100% sure that our fish n chips came from the local chippy. No way was this cooked on site. Another meal had totally different chips served. And I definitely wouldn’t order from whatever chippy it was! Staff v nice, service good and some music we heard was absolutely fantastic. We would return but will be selective in what we order.

Booked for 1230, perused the extensive menu and settled on the steak and ale pie and a pizza. Both arrived piping hot, the pie served with mash, gravy and winter greens, delicious! Sandy's pizza was a triumph with lashings of melted cheese, pepperoni and spices. All served by efficient and friendly staff. This pub has stacks of atmosphere, the main bar with an open fire 🔥 and cosy nooks and crannies is popular with locals and visitors alike, you'd be wise to book if you want to eat.

Excellent Thursday Carvery. At £10.95 it’s great value. Thick slices of moist meat and fresh vegetables to choose from (can we have roast parsnips too please?! ) You won’t come away hungry! Staff efficient at the bar and at the carvery. Vegetarians catered for. See you again soon.

We booked a table here for a Saturday evening, having never visited Instow before. We were greeted warmly and shown to a nicely set table in the window. There was a good choice of beers and wines. The menu options were supplemented by a number of specials. The food was really tasty and very generous portions. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at The Quay.

Visited for a cream team. Whilst in this part of the country it is rude not to try a cream tea. We were greeted by friendly staff & advised we can sit inside or out in the garden. We knew what we wanted to order so placed the order & Werner & sat in the lovely garden with wonderful views. We didn’t have long to wait for our cream tea’s & we got 2 scones which made me & my partner happy. They were one of the best we have tried. Lovely flavour with plenty of jam & cream & a decent size pot of tea. (Jam 1st then cream) , IF YOU VIAIT CLOVELLY- THIS IS A MUST FOR CREAM TEA, Oh & very reasonable price !
