The best restaurants in Winchcombe Tewkesbury South West

We visited for lunch on Saturday 29th March. Our waitress was Karin(or Karen - sorry!). She was wonderful. We all agreed that the service she provided was exceptional. Helpful, authentic, informative and just hilarious(!). I’m ashamed to say that I very rarely leave reviews however we all agreed that we couldn’t not. Thank you Karin, you made our lunch/afternoon!

You check in at the bar, which is a little awkward. The staff try their best but to be honest it's a bit provincial. Don't ask for a vodka lime and soda, they haven't heard of cordial "around here"

We booked online through their website only about an hour or so beforehand and I was worried that the booking may not go through as it was Valentines Day and everywhere was extremely busy and most places fully booked. We needn't have worried. The staff were amazing. They greeted us by name and remembered we were there for my birthday. They were extremely attentive, but not intrusive, and nothing was too much trouble which was amazing as the place was full. It was warm enough but, as there was a locked door nearby, they brought us a heater just in case a draft came though (which it didn't). The food was absolutely delicious. We had the sausages and the salmon. Followed that up with the whiskey bomb which was to die for. Will definitely go back and do not hesitate to recommend.

Nos alojamos con amigos para un fin de semana de caminata en los hermosos Cotswolds. Este es un pub anticuado con excelente cerveza, un maravilloso ambiente tradicional y una cálida bienvenida personal. Las habitaciones son cómodas pero no elegantes. Es una lástima que la cocina esté cerrada actualmente, pero podemos volver a tomar una última pinta después de comer en otro lugar. A juzgar por el excelente desayuno, lo mejor sería comer aquí una vez que la cocina reabra. Sin duda volvería a visitar.

Reservado para la comida del sábado por la noche mientras fin de semana en Winchcombe. La comida era excelente. Cerveza y vino también perfecto. El buen ambiente en el pub y la zona de comer está lejos del bar, por lo que recibe toda la atención del personal mientras come.

No estaba abierto a pesar de la información en contrario en Internet. Una amable señora explicó que iba a abrir aproximadamente una hora después de que llegamos, así que nos fuimos y cogimos té en Winchcombe mismo.
