The best restaurants in Bovey Teignbridge South West

Wow, what a difference. Our last visit was disappointing, apparently the pub was about to be taken over by new management, and it was all a bit sad. Reading recent encouraging reviews we booked for Sunday lunch, and what a treat. Now I'm a fussy so-and-so when it comes to a roast dinner, and we were not disappointed. The staff are lovely, the meal was well cooked, piping hot and plenty of it. Exactly as it should be. Would heartily recommend.

We had a food delivery yesterday Monday 28th October. The delivery was 1/2 hour late.( Last time food came 1/2 hour early ) I stood in the road so they would know where we were all that time . We phoned back + were told in bad English - Sorry we're closed .It was for my neighbour and friends birthday . I mentioned to the driver & he smiled and was happy to say we are closed Now . All the food was COLD . What we could eat we had to warm in the microwave. More importantly it was very Bland and had little ot no flavour . Even my vegetable Corma was tasteless . The chicken baltu was tasteless. As we're the other meals . I've always gave top reviews and sing praises of this place . Was it because it was Monday & quiet as you closed early or changed Chef. I'm sadly very disappointed with it all and will think again before I order food or go for a meal which we've done quite a few times and it's Not cheap . I would appreciate your response. Drinks extremely expensive I paid £23 for a pint and a cider.

We have been using this place for take aways for over 10 years although not so much recently after celebrating our anniversary! We decided to eat in and the food was very good with no 'after effects'. However, I was very disappointed with the loo which felt tired and in need of decoration... the door was filthy from years of use and a simple coat of paint would have gone a long way! It's all in the detail... we won't eat in again.

Helpful staff,speedy service,and a mixture of Chinese food and English food are very diverse.

Omg .. first time last time .. This has to be the worst meals I've ever had .. soggy crispy squid ..some strange tasting prawn burn toasty thingy.. hard ruff over cooked ribs .. greasy chicken balls ..never again would I touch this food . Every time I go to the spar next door I will look at this place with great distain

Not for me. Dirty cutlery, grubby and cheap.
