Popped in on a break from work for a spot of lunch ordered the big breakfast £6.25 which I feel is great value for money out came large plate looking amazing with 2 sausage 2 bacon 2 eggs lots of juicy baked beans mushrooms 2 halves of grilled tomato and 2 hash browns and a side plate with two slices of buttered toast!! All for £6.25 (puts their neighbours Wetherspoons to shame) and a mug of delicious filter coffee for an Extra £1.80 bargain food was delicious. This wasn't the biggest breakfast on their menu (I usually go big but trying to be healthy) I am stuffed after that one!! I will certainly be returning here Note: it is cash or bank transfer only payment accepted

Delicious light lunch - avocado toasts, freshly prepared by friendly efficient staff. Pleasant decor.

For starters the name of the place has changed which is something that should be changed online as it meant my partner was driving round the block trying to find the right indian! The flavours of the curries were very nice (albeit that dhansak was the spiciest i’ve ever had) however 3 of the 4 curries the chicken was so dry, almost inedible to the point we all left most of the chicken chunks as they were so chewy. Bhajis/bread/rice were all tasty so such a shame about the chicken as we wouldn’t return again due to this.

Good food but I must admit it can’t be hit & miss.. maybe depending on how much it it but the chips & cheese is usually made with a beautiful cheese sauce but the last time I ordered them the chips were cold & it was just a big standard grated cheeses thrown on on the top & even then it didn’t look like my moneys worth

We booked for lunch at The Stag. Unfortunately the outside is in need of some loving, compared to the old pictures, but the inside is lovely and rustic. It is only a small place with big tables, so we recommend booking. The food was lovely. We’re both vegetarians, but one of us doesn’t have dairy either and this place catered for us. In fact they went out of their way to double check or offer something else, for the more awkward of us.. everything was cooked to perfection and tasted lovely. I had the sherry trifle (it definitely had sherry in). This place also allows dogs. The staff were friendly and even offered to run us somewhere, if we couldn’t get a taxi. We would return here, if we’re ever in the area again.
