Coffee Bean Cafe in Mid Devon

Popped in on a break from work for a spot of lunch ordered the big breakfast £6.25 which I feel is great value for money out came large plate looking amazing with 2 sausage 2 bacon 2 eggs lots of juicy baked beans mushrooms 2 halves of grilled tomato and 2 hash browns and a side plate with two slices of buttered toast!! All for £6.25 (puts their neighbours Wetherspoons to shame) and a mug of delicious filter coffee for an Extra £1.80 bargain food was delicious. This wasn't the biggest breakfast on their menu (I usually go big but trying to be healthy) I am stuffed after that one!! I will certainly be returning here Note: it is cash or bank transfer only payment accepted

Amazing food and service. My daughter absolutely loves coming here. They always make a fuss and the food is always hot and fresh.

Found this cafe on the way to Knightshayes and popped in for breakfast of poached eggs & muffins and coffee. The coffee was excellent. The service was friendly. Payment by bank transfer was possible in addition to cash.

Cheap and nasty quality breakfast. Charges 50p extra for well done bacon and an extra £1 for poached eggs. You cannot swap or change any items on a set breakfast. Both me and my son both said it’s one of the worst fry ups we’ve ever had. Even the sauces come in a tiny pot! We live in Devon and find it really friendly but this didn’t seem friendly. Also cash only which is unusual in this day and age! Won’t be returning.

Lovely good value lunch. I had scampi and my hubby the lamb stew. It was all very tasty an excellent service

I've been coming to the coffee bean for years and it never fails just a real good fry up and coffee.

Our second visit to the coffee bean and we were not disappointed in the slightest! On our first visit we were so impressed that I even told all the lads at work about it incase they are in the area and I highly recommend ditching Tiverton Whetherspoons for a breakfast here! I took on The Full Monty today! Granted, I didn't have to eat another meal all day, but my god it was fantastic. Cooked to perfection, everything was quality and the breakfast in the picture for just £8.95?! Wow! Don't miss out, give the Coffee Bean a shout! (Take away and delivery also available).

Stopped off at Tiverton on our way back to Worcestershire and popped into coffee bean for some breakfast, the waitress was so nice to us , nothing was too much trouble, especially with me on a diet, the food and coffee was really nice 👍

we stopped for a breakfast on bank holiday Monday the lady who served was very friendly and helpful. it was nice to have a choice of set breakfasts , and you can even create your own. all four of us had breakfasts, all cooked to order and very tasty. plus a large selection of reasonably price hot and cold drinks

Very good breakfast There was eight of us & every one agreed that the food & service was great. They need to say there’s a Carpark just behind them & I’m sure there get lots of trade

Lovely small local cafe serving amazing breakfasts. Strong local % among the customer base who treat it like their own home - even listening in to and joining in to conversations. Quirky but brilliant for the larger appetite. Convenient parking just around the corner

Love that I can choose individual items from the menu. Gluten free options too. Always a pleasure to go there. Owners are lovely.

Used the Coffee Bean a couple of times. Clean and friendly. Good fresh food and nice prices. Maybe have some dairy alternative spread as it keeps for a long time.

This is the second time we have visited the Coffee Bean, in Tiverton. Excellent breakfast at various prices to suit everyone's pockets. From Budget for £3.75 for 1 egg, 1 bacon. 1 sausage, tomato beans and toast. A five item create your own for £4.65. Or the full monty for 14 items for £8.50. They even cater for vegetarians at £4.45. Prices correct at August 2017.

Always nice to pop in for a chat. They are very accommodating, even deliver on foot locally. Proper food, nice atmosphere and welcoming staff. Proper Job!

We visited The Coffee Bean, a beautiful little cafe just over the bridge from the town centre towards westexe for a celebratory mid-morning breakfast with my super special family last week and unsurprisingly had the most fabulous time. Every visit from minute to end is so special, very simply thanks to Sue and Dave the owners and their lovely team who tirelessly offer such a warm, welcoming, friendly and supportive approach which makes every visit an extra special Kind.

Pase por el puente del centro de la ciudad en Westexe hay más, incluyendo la tienda de decoración elegante y encantador, y este café siempre coherente y muy bien preparado. El servicio es rápido y con buenas opciones de menú a un precio razonable. Llevar conos también tener en el río!

Si quieres un "buen desayuno inglés "aléjate de los bares de moda café y barman, ocupando cada calle alta y ve a lo largo de Café Bean. La comida es muy fresca, obviamente preparados con orgullo y siempre bien presentado. Se sabe muy bien también. El personal es muy amable, hay servicio de mesa y todo el mundo es muy educado y servicial.

Bien vale la pena el paseo de la ciudad, hacia westexe. Usted no será decepcionado. Servicio de azafatas es muy rápido, cortés y amable. ¡Ah! Curiosamente decoradas y un buen lugar para relajarse con una taza de comida. La comida se sirve recién preparado desde el menú y tuvimos una buena elección es ofertas especiales. Todo en el menú parecía fantástico. El café estaba recién baja y tuvimos una agradable sabor profundo. Se sirvió comida rápidamente y bien caliente. Vuelto varias veces y llevado amigos y colegas de negocios para cenar. Sue y David son los dueños y son tan naturales, que ofrecen azafatas una muy cálida bienvenida.

Stopped in for breakfast before heading up to London. conveniently located next to a pay and display (although have to pay for 3hrs if you want more than 30mins.) so we got the baguettes to go. Very pleased and my wife said "now I know why you rave about these for breakfast"

Visited Thursday 17th March 2016I know and accept the rules when I enter. Crispy bacon - pay an extra 50 pence I have friends who won't eat there for this reason alone. "It's not the money, it's the principle. Nobody charges for crispy bacon any more than restaurants charge more for medium steak than for rare". No changes to the set menu - if you don't like mushrooms then they're left off; without substitute. However, extra portions at £1 a time are reasonably priced.Ask for separate butter if you don't want toast with a spread.Having overcome these things I can assure you of perfectly cooked, piping hot food.Basic furniture and bare wooden tables but I don't need anything else.Good food at very reasonable prices.I'll be back.

Prior to doing some shopping we went in for a full English. All lovely, fresh and good portions. Finished off with tea and toast! If you are looking for a no fuss bit of grub this is your place. If you are looking for table cloths and napkins, move on!

Was recommended, but when got their found it was closed (gone on holiday). Went elsewhere had an excellent lunch. Wont be going back to the coffee bean sorry.

We have been here several times and always had a friendly welcome. The food is good and there is a choose your own items breakfast for fussy eaters. The furnishings are adequate if a little basic.

This is a quiet cafe down in West Exe away from the main shopping area and near the River Exe, somewhere nice to relax if down that end of town

Very nice cafe, that allowed our dog to come in with us.Waitress service, which was prompt and efficient.Unfortunately did not have decaf coffee, had normal coffee and unfortunately it was far too milky for my taste.My husband had an all day breakfast, which he enjoyed, my dad had a panini, which he enjoyed. However I had a bacon and brie toasted sandwich which I found disappointing, the bacon was not cooked enough. I found that to have things crispy you have to pay an extra 50p (this is on the menu) you were not able to change things on the breakfasts, which if you don't like sausage as in my case, you would either have to leave it or request not to have it, and I think I am right in saying for an extra item you pay a £1 per item, surely this is a lot (again is on the menu).On the whole it was good for my husband and dad, just disappointing for me.

We've just enjoyed another wonderful breakfast (for lunch)! The eggs are perfect, meats of excellent quality and the welcome very friendly. It's so good to see this small, I ndependent cafe doing so well!

This is a basic, friendly community cafe. Nice selection of food, quick and friendly service. Food is of the cheese toastie, jacket potato variety, but all decently cooked. Cafe appears clean, some high-chairs available, loos clean. Very reasonable prices.

As ever this cafe is excellent. No matter when you go the service and food is always superb. Traditional British food with a few special menu items which are always well thought out and cooked.

First visit for me and I am very impressed. The breakfast was stunning and the service second to none. High quality coffee too which always keeps me happy. Well well worth a visit.

We love the all-day breakfasts here and always buy sandwiches before we travel. So much better to support local businesses rather than buy food at airports or railway stations.
