Visited this lovely village pub with friends last night for the first time. (New Years Eve) Had a fantastic time listening to the live band and really enjoyed the superb buffet. The landlords were the friendliest and most welcoming I think we’ve ever met and went out of their way to accommodate us in our two motorhomes in their large level car park, meaning we could stop overnight and all enjoy a few drinks! We wouldn’t hesitate to return, and as we don’t live too far away, we are looking forward to visiting for a Sunday lunch which comes highly recommended! Many thanks Nikki and Simon….. see you again soon!!

What a great place to grab a nice lunch, first time here but have lived in the area for years, was really pleasantly surprised. Lots of outside seating, not so much indoor. Had the savoury tea, was tasty and filling. Service was exceptional, friendly and quick. Area is lovely , if you feel up for it take the footpath to Budleigh beach.

Eat lunch here for first time yesterday wow spectacular views & meal which was very reasonably priced. I had jacket potato with the best prawns I've tasted in a very long time together with side salad with a beautiful dressing thank you

Not to be missed, this pub restaurant is fabulous. I’m of the understanding that it is under new ownership. The food is delicious and well cooked and presented. The chef here has a good eye for detail. Even the children’s food is freshly cooked and the sizes are proportionate. There is a great children’s play area outside with lots of activities for them to enjoy. I played naughts and crosses there with my son. It is located on the road between Sidmouth and Exmouth and well signposted. It’s about 10 minutes drive from the M5 junction at Exeter. It’s also good value for money and a great for families.

We ate here two evenings during our stay. The food is ok bar food with a limited menu. Didnt feel the food was prepared with any love. The restaurant is a bit bright and although busy there wasn't much ambience. They could make it much more cosy. Drinks are good and for a hotel, they are not badly priced. Staff were really excellent as they were all very friendly and couldnt do enough for you.

We meet with friends and had brunch in the restaurant,, the food was really good , the coffee even better . The staff were friendly and very efficient but extra praise goes to our waiter Robert ,, he has recently joined the staff and is in training , don’t think he needs any more training , he was attentive and nothing was too much trouble ,, what an asset he is to the Greendale team .
