The best restaurants in Wycombe South East

This is a long overdue review. I've been to Cod and Fry about five times over the past year and it's always been excellent. I usually get fish and chips for my dad and I. He is a tough crowd when it comes to his food but he looooves the generous portions, crispy batter, succulent fish and first class chips, as do I. I can't comment on the delivery service because my dad lives nearby so I always order and collect in the shop. The food is cooked to order so is always fresh and hot when unwrapped. My sole criticism is the omission of mushy peas from the menu. If they were available I'd give 6 stars! Last Saturday I changed my order, having read the reviews here. I can confirm the Masala Fish is amazing. With its slightly spicy coating, fresh salad and garlic sauce, it really is a taste sensation. The pricing is certainly competitive too. The chap who serves me is always friendly and sometimes singing, which is a rare treat too. 😊 So thanks guys, keep up the great work! 👍

Dear all at Monkton Barn, Where do we start… WOW, AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL are just some of the words that spring to mind. We are just floating on cloud 9, our day was everything we could have ever dreamed of and you made it happen. Our budget was limited but you treated us like royalty, every member of your team has gone above and beyond for us, the communication and organisation was just incredible. The food… incredible, every single one of our guests complimented on the food, it was perfect. The venue looked absolutely spectacular and we honestly cannot thank you all enough for making our dreams come true. Great service in comfortable suttoundings at reasonable prices and the added bonus of a small but well kept garden centre. Thoroughly recommend you visit.

Wow! Ordered 4 boxes of cup cakes for family party The staff that make these cup cakes are real artists!! They looked and tasted beautiful- Wonderful service and delicious cakes - will certainly use again!!!!

We recently held a birthday party for my wife at the Three Horseshoes and Jamie and Dave from Two Hangry Chefs managed the booking of the venue, plus catering, hiring DJ etc. We were really happy with the service that was provided and the party was a great success. Jamie and Dave were on hand the whole night to help with making sure everything went smoothly and the buffet food provided was superb. We thank them both for helping us to make this a really special party!

Best chippy in Town. Cooked to order, always hot and great portion size. Great choice of food for young and old alike. Need chips Fry-days is the place to go.

Been here twice. Service is friendly and it’s a lovely place. Our hot drinks were luke warm on both occasions and there is only one toilet which results in a lengthy wait.

First time here on Sunday last week and it was brilliant. Not normal “run of the mill” food and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon!

I’ve been meaning to write this view a long time ago….it’s just each time I get a spud I just get lost in how good they are!!! A must try if you’re looking for lunch in Wycombe! A regular for sure!!
