The best restaurants in Swallowfield Wokingham South East

Didn't see the rooms but thought it looked very nice throughout. Set on the River London it's a pretty location with ample parking.

What a fantastic friendly pub and the food was delicious 😋 so impressed with the puddings but was too full to eat one next time.

Came here for a family lunch and just stayed for a drink as the place is really grubby! Needs a good clean! I would hate to look inside the kitchen. Definitely would not recommend. The marquee outside looked nice.

We had dinner and breakfast here as part of a hotel stay. The menus offered a wide range of interesting choices, and catering for dietary allergies was accommodated without difficulty. The food quality was very good and dinner portions plentiful. We did feel that particularly the drinks were quite expensive. The breakfast is a mix of buffet and table service. Whilst both dinner and breakfast was supported with attentive friendly service, the costs of the evening meals and drinks are exacerbated by the addition of a 10% service charge, which is a practice that we find annoying.

Absolutely lovely food! 6 of us ate and we all enjoyed our dinners and puddings. The 4* is because it was so cold in there! Otherwise it would have been a 5. Would deffo return when we are next in the area.

Great food, great beer, proper customer service! Love the country pub interior and the open fires. It’s got to be up there as one of the best in Berkshire nowadays.
