Great service and good food. Perfect place to take a pitstop from a dog walk. A nice range of different food and drinks.

I was able to book the Garden Room for private hire for a family celebration. The team at Chalk were fantastic from start to finish with the organisation, the room looked beautiful andthe set menu we were able to choose from had great choice and was delicious on the day.

We came for the Halloween Afternoon Tea and the spooky trail. Parking was easy and the hotel itself looked really luxurious. We were greeted warmly at reception and directed to the Briar, a building in the grounds. The decoration was spectacular, the whole room was properly themed and very spooky! Lots of families were dressed up and there was a great atmosphere. Even the soundtrack had been planned perfectly. Unfortunately, the food for the afternoon tea was really unpleasant. Iā€™d booked over the phone stating I was a vegetarian and reminded staff on arrival that I didnā€™t eat meat or fish, but I was still served salmon sandwiches. It was so dark in the room that we had to use the torch on my phone to find the food on the stand and in the gloom I took a fishy bite before I realised what Iā€™d been given That made me feel quite sick. Although some extra cheese sandwiches were then kindly offered to make up for it, I was really put off and couldnā€™t bring myself to eat them in the end. Youā€™d need to be very careful if you were visiting with an allergy or intolerance. Overall, everything seemed a bit limp and stale. The cakes were all too soggy and sickly, even my sugar loving children didnā€™t enjoy them. There was only one very tiny piece of candy floss between two of them and cutting it in half was a challenge. It got smushed in the process, so then no one wanted it. The best bit were the scones, which were genuinely nice. Our waitress was lovely, but when we ordered refill drinks (which were served by someone else) the squash arrived for one child and never came for the other. We struggled to get the attention of the staff to fix this, but luckily the child dealt with the situation by drinking the milk that had come in a jug with my tea. Unusually for afternoon tea, thereā€™s no choice of teas. Thereā€™s also a mandatory 12.5% service charge which was not identified at the time of booking and wasnā€™t shown on the menu or the website. I donā€™t agree with forced tipping and this wasnā€™t a situation where I anticipated hidden charges. Also Ā£7.50 was a larger tip than I wanted to leave, but I didnā€™t want to make a scene. So I paid nearly Ā£70 for one adult and two children including the service charge and I didnā€™t feel the food was worth it by a long way. The trail was brilliant. Lots of thought had been put in to it and the creepy walk through the woods and the severed heads in the pond took it to a new level. We came back to see the friendly receptionist- now in character and wearing a mask - for a chocolate prize. I feel so bad that I canā€™t rate this five stars, because every member of staff was pleasant and helpful and the surroundings were gorgeous. If there was an option to do the trail without the food, weā€™d love to come back again.

Didnā€™t honour the deal that was booked. Staff was unable to help & there was no manager on site. Didnā€™t end up eating there but the food that came out to other tables looked very basic for the price. Cocktails were good, but were on the pricey side. Service wasnā€™t great, but service charge is automatically added for drinks.

Excellent food, big portions, came to the door hot and full of flavour. It was on time as well. Onion bhaji was slightly greasy but taste was bangin. Thank you for a lovely take away

Lovely place, looks fab since the refurb, amazing outdoor space, so much seating areas. Staff were friendly and welcoming, only reason I have given 3 star is because myself and my husband ordered the tex mex sharer which was supposed to have sweet chilli sauce but instead came drizzled with the ipa hot sauce meaning my husband who dislikes spicy food couldn't eat it. We did check the menu which definatley stated sweet chilli sauce. Unfortunatley we didn't have time to send back and reorder as it was a quick stop half way through a long journey and we needed to move on to avoid bad traffic. Other than that small disappointment the place is lovely and we would still return.

My wife and I had been here on and off for a few years but we visit every other Thursday now for supper before a great fun bingo night. Food always lovely and we've enjoyed some interesting different dishes like the Persian lamb flatbread. Service consistently good and friendly from David, Becca and the team. Something unique to Sedero - have definitely never encountered it anywhere else - is that they put "elephant feet" under the table legs, which my wife really appreciates as she's a wheelchair user, so it gives a bit more height for her to fit her wheelchair and legs under.

Absolutely would not recommend farmhouse pizza to anyone, ordered a half and half Caribbean tuna pizza one half and other half tandoori chicken and my bbq chicken pizza. The pizza arrived with next to no chicken on it and the pizza that was supposed to be half and half was not and to top it all off it wasnā€™t even hot ! After phoning up and explaining that we were unsatisfied with our pizza the person on the phone continued at me saying they were going out of their way to deliver to us after we had three deliveries from farmhouse not even a week ago. The customer service was awful and the person at the end of the phone was frankly patronising and rude and refused to give us a refund. Very disappointed as have previously enjoyed pizza from farmhouse but am now forced to take my business elsewhere

Ordered food online for collection and when I got to the shop it was closed. They still took my money from my account but never got the food. Online it still shows the shop open but I think it has closed for good because they never pick up the phone. This has never happened to me before, disgusting how this shop is run.
