The Three Frogs in Wokingham

Small plates had a Sunday roast two small slices of meat five very small roast potatoes some cold carrots and some overcooked peas not worth the money what has happened to a full English roast dinner?

Met up with friends and enjoyed a lovely meal, staff were very pleasant and obliging.

Had to wait over a hour as busy only seemed one person waiting told there was none of what I wanted but later a lady had a accident with her food and they were able to replace even though we had been told they had run out very poor customer service will never come here again

Clean and well maintained hotel, the staff are friendly and well trained, it's well positioned off the M4 and convenient for London.

This used to be the best place for Fish & Chips in Wokingham. Proper Cod filled the plate. Crispy batter etc. Last night we had some cheap looking fish (not Cod) which was mainly batter and had to be sent back. No reflection on the staff tho - always been great. They can only cook what they've been supplied. Shame

Lovely pub ,food was great only thing was the long wait for it ,if we had been informed there was a wait we could have decided whether to stay or not ,love the refurbishment of the place though . Hope next time the service is better .

I booked this venue as a celebration of my late husband, Paul. I can say all the staff went above and beyond to cater for this event. Ria and team listened to my requests, they were quite vague, and delivered everything I had asked for. The food was amazing, delivered on time and plenty of it, all my guests were impressed as was I. I highly recommend this venue for any celebrations you may be thinking of. We'll done to the whole team.

Good unpretentious pub about to have big refurbishment, the gammon egg and (fat) chips are superb and extremely good VFM. 2024 update. The refurbishment has totally transformed this pub. It's been extremely well done and is now a place I want to go to, rather than just another slightly tired pub. They've added a fair few large and high quality TV screens so if you like to watch sport, it's a great place to do so. Lunchtime food offers are extremely good VFM too.

Had a lovely meal me and my Friend had the 5 plates and the food was great and tasted amazing. The little one had a kids meal and was great finished with ice cream. Jane was fantastic and was always going that extra mile for us all. She was brilliant with my little girl. Overall a lovely visit and definitely be back again.

Never visited before. Super welcome on a late Saturday afternoon from both young staff behind bar, one male, one female. Poured two superb pints. Sparkling glasses, clean tables. Nice buzz from happy customers. Thoroughly recommended. Thank you. (Gave 5 stars for food, rather than zero - we didn't eat)

Ordered on app then advises 30 minute wait for food from order point food delivered an hour later with frozen pepper sauce Then refund not processing so eventually refund was given in cash

Just enjoyed our usual weekly lunch time visit to the Frogs. Excellent food & drinks as usual. Great service as always and a really friendly atmosphere within the pub. All this at very competitive prices. Would thoroughly recommend a visit at anytime.

We visited Thursday evening and what a fantastic evening we had! Service was second to none, the waitress (Laura) was friendly and efficient and made sure we was well looked after. Food was fantastic

Nice pub very busy and food took a very long time to come out. Some one wanted the volume on the tv turned up but never asked if it was OK which was not very good as I came out to get away from the tv and don't like football.

I had a really great visit here yesterday. The sports was in all the teles and they really catered for every customer. It was great to see the pub so busy, Lucy has done a wonderful job with the pub. No wonder it felt like the whole of Wokingham was there today. Great time to catch up with old friends, cannot believe the drink deals are so cheap. A double gin and tonic for £7.20 I was blown away. The service is always great and guy really recommended a great alternative to keep the cost even lower for me. I will be returning.

Visited Today and had a lunch time meal that's was absolutely delicious, so friendly and service was spot on so that means we're definitely coming back and thank you all

Heard about the breakfast menu popped in for a bacon sandwich Bit fussy over my bacon but they were very accommodating and the sandwich was delicious Pub looks lovely and even in the morning atmosphere is great definitely recommend to my friends

Visited with my little family for dinner and the staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. There was a great selection of choice from the menu and the kids are quite fussy! But the food was a hit with them so winner winner! Clean and nice decorative pub - Lucy who served us who is the manager there has done a wonderful job with the place, we have been a few times now and her and her team are always lovely and nothing is too much ! It’s always nice to visit. See you again soon 🫶

Very friendly staff who are always chatty and good pub grub food! Come here most weekends as we enjoy the atmosphere. Sports is always on which is a bonus!

We, the whole family, love the dishes very much, especially the fish and chips, which we are not the first time to taste.

The service here is just really in a league of its own. Everyone working here is friendly, attentive and helpful. They couldn't do enough for us. The food is totally basic and standard, absolutely scratches the itch and does the job. The drinks are reasonably priced. I will make a point of coming here more coz it's actually great

Had a lovely meal at the Three Frogs with friends. The food choice was good and reasonably priced and good value for money. The service was friendly. It was busy when we went but nothing was too much for Laura who made sure we had everything we needed and did it with a smile on her face. Looking forward to going back soon.

Took over 30 minutes at lunch despite being mostly empty. When it arrived the portion of chips with the burger was a bit depressing (see photo). I know the prices here are cheap but come on. The refurb has made the place much nicer, and staff are all great, but it’s let down by the food.

We held our daughters 18th birthday party here. Service was great, food was fab, venue really good. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely use them again for other events. Couldn't fault the team. Thanks so much for giving our daughter the best 18th!!

My wife and I met and dined with two friends. As usual the service, food, drinks were all excellent. The pub was reasonably busy but as always we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Went on Christmas day for dinner, I enjoyed my meal but some of my family didn't, overall great atmosphere but a little noisy for the older members of my family

Came here with a friend after a long time, the staff were able to give us a good idea of what meals and deals might suit us, all very friendly

I went here for Christmas Day which was the best one I've had so far. We usually dine out for Christmas, but most times its unorganised and really bad service. I had one of the best experiences here, even though they are all great times. Christmas day was made by the service been even better than exceptional. Lucy had the team so organised and attentive which really shows how well it runs everyday. Thanks again Team Frogs

Have visited The Three Frogs several times during 2024 both with my family and friends. Always had excellent service from the very friendly staff. The beer & food prices are very competitive and the meals are very good and the portion sizes easily enough. Would thoroughly recommend the pub for all occasions.

I visited the Three Frogs for a Christmas Dinner with my family and my partner - it was amazing. I had to ask the name of the chef, Jane who made the best Turkey I have had in years!!! My partner does not enjoy Turkey and without hesitation they made her and Xmas dinner with chicken instead. James and Nick behind the bar were great fun and able to recommend all the right drinks for my party! Great time had by all and I highly recommend!

Had the gammon for lunch with a friend, it was to for 15.50. Full of flavour, good waiting times and friendly staff.

We had our Xmas works dinner last night. We'll I must say the refurbishment looks great, the food was absolutely beautiful and the staff were amazing. I would highly recommend here for either eating out or just to go for a night out. Three frogs has now got to be up there with the top places to go in Wokingham.

we are at the three frogs having our family Christmas meal which was in a lovely area quiet just to ourselves. The service was fantastic. The food was lovely and plenty of it and a lovely pudding. The staff couldn’t have done any more for us, it was absolute fantastic thank you for making it a lovely Christmas meal and the table was dressed up lovely as well.

Lovely place, looks fab since the refurb, amazing outdoor space, so much seating areas. Staff were friendly and welcoming, only reason I have given 3 star is because myself and my husband ordered the tex mex sharer which was supposed to have sweet chilli sauce but instead came drizzled with the ipa hot sauce meaning my husband who dislikes spicy food couldn't eat it. We did check the menu which definatley stated sweet chilli sauce. Unfortunatley we didn't have time to send back and reorder as it was a quick stop half way through a long journey and we needed to move on to avoid bad traffic. Other than that small disappointment the place is lovely and we would still return.

Food was absolutely amazing. I had a chicken swarma flatbread. It was generously topped with just the right amount of sauce. Staff were lovely and patient and attentive throughout. I was with my Mom who was very slow and elderly. My brother who was in a wheelchair and they gave us the perfect table to accommodate all of us very comfortably. And when we decide to all share one desert, the waitress brought an extra serving of ice-cream because she said it might not be enough for all of us. Very sweet and thoughtful.

This is a lovely pub to go to for breakfast! It’s not too busy so the wait isn’t long and the breakfast is to die for! The decor is much better now they have been refurbed. We also attended a kids Halloween event on the 26th which was face painting and pumpkin painting - the kids really enjoyed it! I really recommend it.

First time visiting The Three Frogs and will definitely be returning 🐸. Had the Sunday roast and the food was great. Lovely welcoming atmosphere with great decor and extremely friendly helpful staff. Highly recommended 😁.

Visited the pub today for a Sunday roast which did not disappoint. The staff were their usual enthusiastic & friendly selfs. After dinner we had the added bonus of watching the big match on a huge outside screen with heaters On! Not the perfect result for me personally but a great afternoon with dinner & sport!!!👌

We had booked a table for 1.30pm on a Sunday . We waited p20 minutes to be seated and another 20 minutes once at the table but ,no one came to take our order . We moved to the bar area queued for our food and waited a further 25 minutes before the food came . The food I have to say was good however , there was not much of it . To be fair we did complain and we were offered a free dessert which, we refused as we were running out of time . The prices of drinks are well above average , the staff look fed up and tired and overall not a great experience so will not be returning.

So we booked a bottomless brunch only to get there and find out they don't do one! I had email confirmation of our booking. The Manager was really good and sorted everything. We basically paid for our food and the drinks were free. Service was good too

Gosh! We have enjoyed some great places, but this is a must to visit. The chicken and ham pie with chips and broccoli is the ultimate pie experience! I have never enjoyed a pie so much in my life! The whole place has been renovated and is spotlessly clean, with loads of alcoves making dining a wonderful time. FULL marks here! Thank you 🙏

Place looks great after the makeover. Came here a few times before. Team are all very nice and food was hot and tasted good. Tbh food isn't anything special standard greene king pub grub but that is reflected in the prices. You get what you pay for and it hits the spot

Absolutely loved The Three Frogs, really yummy food, great friendly staff. We've been a few times now and we are happy everytime. It looks amazing since it's been done up too. I love what they've done with the decor and layout, especially the outside space!

Bit quiet for a Sunday evening twice on the bounce. Odd as the ambience and food is great and the Gammon Steak melts in the mouth. Much better than the Oakingham Belle in my opinion. My daughter prefers the food here now. And the service is much friendlier too.

Came here this evening for a family meal. The food was lovely and service great. The 2 waitresses Laura and Jamie-Leigh were friendly and efficient - nothing was too much trouble! We will definitely be back thanks again for a lovely evening

Very impressive renovation but staff are quite slow and the till system doesn't seem to help , also very slow kitchen system , normal wait for food is nearly an hour , also charge you for ice and a glass when they don't mention it

Enjoyed our meal there last weekend!

The atmosphere is great, they have done a great job with the renovation. The food however was nowhere near the standard it should be. 8 of us ate yesterday and all 8 agreed that it was not to a reasonable standard. The beef burgers were dry, the steaks were over cooked. Even the replacement steak came without the sauce and wasn’t cooked as it should be. The roast said it was going to be served pink but it was well done and the veg was just boiled and on the side. 2 of the meals were taken off the bill by the lady who was very good considering her shift had Just started. We still all left feeling like we wouldn’t return for food again. It’s still a nice place for drinks and starters. Lastly we ordered several rounds of drinks, and 1 of the beers didn’t taste right. Instead of solving the problem by switching it out the lady behind the bar continued to basically tell us the beer is fine. Even though she said it could be the glass. When we said we would like a different beer (only 1 sip was drank) she said she will still charge us for the beer and said she’s been working in bars for a long time and she knows when beer isn’t right. What happened to the customer is always right.

First Friday for the football. Premier league has started now, and so nice to see the pub packed. Food was served boiling hot, and great quality. The burgers of the month are mouthwatering. Jane, James and Lucy have smashed this pub. Can’t wait for more football games here.

It is what it is. Value for money. Not for a special occasion.

This is what happens when you increase the number of tables but not the size of the kitchen. This used to be a nice place to visit but not anymore. The staff are trying their best but the wait for food is intolerable. Our food took well over 1 and a half hours to arrive. Probably nearer to two hours.

I have been to the newly modernised Three Frogs several times now...Great outdoor space ...was served by Kacey and Jane recently...Great service and food.
