The Tally Ho in Wokingham

Booked dinner with my wife and have to say that the welcome was friendly, being shown to our table was quick, food was awesome - each had the lamb Sunday roast - atmosphere was busy but not manic and the staff had time for each customer - perfect. Big shout out to Lauren who served us - very personable and a credit to the team as were her team! Will definitely be back.

The beer was very bad, and staff disrespcetful! And also the table wasn t clean property… was disgusting!

Having enjoyed a meal at the Tally Ho before and being in the area we decided to stop here for lunch. It was a busy Saturday lunchtime and we hadn't booked but they managed to accomodate us in the restaurant area. As with our last visit, and despite being busy, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was quick. I would say the food was slightly above average in price, but was well above average in taste, quality and presentation so overall presented good value. There was also a wide selection of gluten free options. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a lovely evening. The food and service were first class. I think this is the same group as The Leather Bottle. The staff at The Tally Ho are much friendlier. Highly recommend.

I had the vegetarian burger, which was delicious. We sat outside on the beautiful patio and our server, Grace, was lovely. She recommended dishes and was so friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend Tally Ho, and I recommend Grace unreservedly.

A few drinks in the afternoon turned into more will a selection of small plates which were delicious although expensive.

Very small meals. Sticky toffee pudding 2 inch square cost £7-95. Nice food but adults are served child portions. Wonderful Mango cider. The setting of the pub is nice. The weak link is the small meals, you will have to go to the chip shop afterwards

Went for Sunday roast at my son's suggestion...had booked The Barley Mow in Englefield Green which is excellent (no connection)! One of our party was hindu - no chicken dishes on the menu at all...roast or otherwise! Waiter did get her a chicken burger from bbq menu but not the roast we had hoped for. Cauliflower cheese was grey, overcooked and dry @ £5.95 a portion. In my opinion over priced for the quality. Complained the day after (kids embarrassed so didn't do so on the day) re. cauliflower cheese and was promised a voucher....still waiting! The place was busy so maybe it's me but much nicer and superior roasts available locally.

I asked the waitress for my food to arrive hot as that's how I like it. However on arrival the food was at best luke warm and the chips had been reheated and were extremely greasy. When the waitress asked how our food was and I reported the problem she gave a wry smile and apologised I certainly would not recommend this restaurant

The food was delicious as was the wine choice .. The service was excellent : we had a sun set problem at our table of eight...and they tried really hard to set up a parasol but couldn't due to the garden borders. Our waitress Grace was exceptional in making sure we were all taken care of : very efficient, polite and humourous 👍😎. Very much recommend dining here...although they need more parking spaces .

This seems a very popular and busy Pub Restaurant. Great on a sunny day for outside dining. It's the second or third time we've visited for the Sunday Roast and the last time I got the impression that my food had been plated up and served later as the plate was cold along with the meat with only the vegetables having any real heat in them so I assume added last? My wife enjoyed it so I didn't say anything to spoil the day but for an £80 Sunday lunch with drinks and one pudding I was left me feeling quietly disappointed.

Visited here last Bank Holiday Monday, ( over 30 years since I last visited! ). The pub was very busy as it was a nice day but even though all the tables in the garden were in use the staff were fantastic. All the staff were very friendly and super efficient. I have a very slight intolerance to fish / seafood but they were very reassuring that they had been no cross contamination with our food!. The food was very good.

This pub is so friendly. They do group dogs walks some Saturdays too and always have bowls of water and treats for the doggies. Had the most amazing Chilli beef salad 🥗 :) x

The fish pie seemed to be made from an indeterminate tin of fish, most likely tuna flakes with two prawns added, no chunks of fish and no taste of salmon or smoked fish as promised on the menu. Apple and raspberry crumble pie for desert....
