Really tasty food in a nice setting, low beamed ceilings make you feel like you are in someone’s home. Great service. The lamb and chicken dishes were both amazing, and enjoyed the wasabi ravioli peanuts, beef tartare and Parmesan fries. Like the way they were happy to stagger bringing the dishes so we could graze and chat while we drank. Lots of other dishes to try next time!

Wonderful atmosphere with great staff. Went here for a date night in Feb and sat in the back bar area. Comfy armchairs with table at a comfortable height for relaxed chat and eating. Cocktails well made, great wine selection and the food was really tasty. We had a selection of small plates but we will be going back to try out the sharing platters. Definitely recommend a visit - we did book in advance and given how busy they were it might be best to.

Having just moved into the area we were looking for some great food, drinks and music. The grasshopper provided all three, a superb evening! From the delicious specially selected meats cheese, and small plates, to the freshly made cocktails, we were extremely impressed. We also came on an evening where there was live music, which really added to the experience. Would certainly recommend a visit to the grasshopper, a hidden gem in the back streets of Wokingham!

We were celebrating our son’s engagement and you certainly added to the celebrations. The room at the back was atmospheric and well heated. We even got a view of the fireworks! The staff were friendly and went about their business quietly and efficiently. The food was delicious and in the main the drinks were well served. Thank you to the team at Grasshopper

Food usually very good but I had a sandwich today that I think must have been yesterday's as it was very dry and tough to eat.

Great breakfast today. Decided to skip the full welsh and opted for the avocado and poached eggs on sourdough. Perfectly poached. Had 2 lattes so on a bit of a coffee high at the moment. Waitress kindly gave me a small jug of hot milk to add to them. The rainbow cake looked fantastic, hope it’s still on the menu next week. Love this place.

Arrived with my daughter for a Brush Party which was a birthday present. She bought a large diet coco cola and an apple and raspberry J2O for which she was charged £6.80. Later, I purchased the exact same things and was told - by the same barmaid - it was £6.90. The 10p is neither here nor there but when I pointed it out she merely shrugged her shoulders - as if to say "so what?" There was no suggestion of rechecking the price or an apology. I fully realise that gone are the days of "the customer is always right" but a simple offer to recheck the price and a simple sorry would have cost nothing. Now, however, you have a poor review, bad "word of mouth" and a customer who will never return.
