Fantastic pub. Full of friendship and human warmth. A hut lost in Oxfordshire with good embers in the stove and in hearts.

We went there with four friends on a recommendation and we weren't dissapointed. The staff were excellent as was the service and the Sunday Roast is second to none. My wife and I shared the Lamb Shoulder, which was excellent and our friends had the Beef, Pork and the Vegan options. Highly recommended.

Excellent except not wheelchair friendly there is no parking areas for wheelchair and no ramps through doorways if they could improve this it would be top star

Poor service and poor food. Has gone downhill to what we’ve had before. Menu choice was very poor and had to choose the only dish I liked. The fried Brie wedges to start had no Brie in them as they had been over fried. Main course was cold and £15 for a cheese board, which only had 3 pieces of small cheese on and a few Jacob’s crackers was over priced. The service was poor and we were the only ones eating there. This used to be a great pub for food but feel it is now just overpriced and has an easy boring menu choice.

Perfect little friendly shop , I actually thought oh I’m really hungry I wonder if thier is breakfast is any good , well what a nice surprise that was , bang on with that 9 out of ten for that one , clean, cooked perfect , presentation spot on , if I had one very slight niggle and it is slight , sausages aret all that , I normally go to buddies cafe by the station in henley and thier bangers are the best I’ve ever had , and I know the get theirs from A&b butchers in Maidenhead , they are catering butchers wholesalers , or it would be 10 out of 10 , just a tip for you , and thank you for the great service and fair price for a top notch breakfast

Absolutely delicious food, highly recommend a visit.

I visited The Rising Sun two days in a row, and both times were absolutely delightful. I ordered the steak and the creamy fish pie, and everything was incredibly delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the fish pie had a wonderful balance of flavors. A big thank you to the kitchen team, the chef, and the service staff for their great work. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely be back!

We were invited back after a bad experience we love the hungry horse chain and I am pleased to say on our second visit the service and food were very good and we willbe back again

Fabulous Sunday lunch. Great food , attentive staff, a great experience! We’ll be back and recommend to friends. Can’t wait to visit again, perhaps for an evening meal this time!
