Lovely friendly tea shop. An extensive range of food on their menu at a reasonable price. They also stock a lot of essential foods and other items ie. cards and gifts. You're made to feel so welcome with a personal service by the owners and their staff. You can tell they have a lot of regular customers and you realise why after a couple of visits. The only downside for me is that (like a lot of places these days, it's dog friendly). I'm not comfortable eating with a lot of dogs around me. There's an outside area where I wish customers with animals would be made to sit. Other than that I don't have anything negative to say as the food is delicious and the service very good.

We stopped for a quick coffee but we’re tempted by the sandwich menu. The baguettes were great, freshly made for us and very generous in size and the amount of filling too. The very best coronation chicken! Can’t wait to return for another!

This is actually one of our regular coffee and cake stops while out cycling. We go there at least once a month there’s normally 8 to 10 of us generally in the group, they feed us, look after us really well, and if anybody does require the toilet they’ve got fantastically clean toilet facilities at the end of the shop it’s quite a treat the whole place is beautiful and great staff.

My daughter and I stopped here for lunch having read on Trip Advisor about the great bacon baguette and they weren't wrong! My daughter had a bacon baguette, which was generously sized and really tasty. I had an avocado and bacon sandwich on lovely brown bread again really good. The coffee was excellent and the staff were exceptional, so friendly and helpful. We also bought a brownie and shortbread to take away which again were gorgeous. I don't normally write reviews but this was good!

Well, after visiting this magnificent bistro/deli, I felt compelled to write a review. We went to pick up a Marilyn Monroe publication in the area and passed by this little gem. After pickup we fancied a coffe so went back as it looked quite nice. Well inside was an alladins cave of gastronomic treats, from prime cuts of rib to fresh picked strawberries! After going in for just a coffee,we ended up with a bag full of goodies. The coffee arrived, I kid you not,as a frequent visitor to coffee establishments, this is the best coffee I have tasted. The cake was exquisite and the bacon and egg baguette was the best you will ever get. The other food we brought was tasted on return home and all was 5*. If I was in charge of issuing Michelin stars, this would get one. The atmosphere was exquisite. We will be back ASAP. So if you are in the area, which is worth a visit for walks and the maharajah well, then please visit this establishment, you will not be disappointed,I can guarantee.

Randomly stopped for a takeaway cuppa which quickly turned into a picnic when we saw what was on offer. Staff were very pleasant and listened to our request for milky tea. Good sandwiches on lovely fresh bread. We will be back. COVID-19 rules were implemented well with staff coming to the door to say when we could come in.

This is a 45 minute walk through some woods for us (ideal for lockdown get outs). This is a village store (well organised with great products) and a cafe with tables outside. The staff (maybe owners?) are from Zimbabwe, friendly but not familiar (an ideal combination) and the food is simple and excellent - beautifully cooked with quality ingredients. Well worth going out of your way to try!

Two of us walked through fabulous Chiltern countryside to get to this well stocked Village Store and Cafe for lunch. Good varied menu, from soups to omelettes, baguettes, all day breakfasts, cakes, biscuits. We both ate soups - both good sized portions of home made pea & mint soup + baguette & butter. Companion had french country soup - masses of pepper, onion, squash, tomato + baguette & butter. All served hot and efficiently in pretty crockery. Very tasty & delicious. Local builders came in same time and left bit later with what looked like very well filled baguettes. Cooked whilst they waited.Village store very well stocked - many basic kitchen needs - soups, milk, mayo, + lots of variety of mayo & pickles, flour, eggs, biscuits, chocolates, wines, spirits, cards, toiletries, sweets, some gluten free products, several varieties of oatcakes.3 - 4 tables inside and several tables outside too.Great asset to the village.

The vegetable stew and bacon sandwiches were delicious. Very friendly service. Good meeting up place for friends. In the absence of a local archives library, the Store has started to gather information on local families. Contributions welcomed. It was a 208 miles round trip for me but worth every mile.

We popped in for lunch and had some really nice sandwiches. The shop / cafe is really nice and feels "proper" even though I can't really describe what I mean by that. They have free wifi, and a good menu.

I’ve previously visited this cafe many times before and always enjoyed it. This time however we were made to feel incredibly uncomfortable by a rude and unwelcoming older member of staff, who made her disapproval of bringing children into the cafe to eat for lunch clear from the outset. Food was slow and our order was wrong, will not be visiting again, mainly due to this member of staff.

A fabulous find in our local area. Excellent cafe serving fresh local produce. We had the excellent daily special, a vegetarian variant of the hot pot full of flavour with delicious fresh bread. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The hot chocolate and cake to follow was also excellent. The cafe had a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

This beautiful family run pub is a little ‘gem’! It is cosy and welcoming and we held my father-in-law’s funeral reception in the lovely conservatory, which was perfect for 30 people. Alan and Wendy organised everything, which meant we didn’t have to worry about anything. The buffet was delicious including home made quiche and sandwiches and the service was excellent. Thank you Amy and Anais for looking after us all. You helped turn a sad day into a joyful family get together! Thank you Alan and Wendy.

I Wasn’t expecting too much from a pub dinner in a rather nondescript Oxfordshire village on a Tuesday evening but I was most pleasantly surprised. The pub is very old and as such cosy and inviting. There is a good selection of draught beer served at one of the fireside tables by most welcoming staff. The menu is varied and original and prices are reasonable. One of the specials of the day was sea bass. It was as good as any top London restaurant. The 45 minute drive was well worth it and I shall be returning soon.

We were pleased to find this little gem at the marina and have returned several times, usually for breakfast. It is well used by people with boats moored nearby and that has created a friendly atmosphere. Not pretentious but friendly host. Good quality produce is used and prices very reasonable.
