The best restaurants in Hythe East Shepway South East

Such lovely food yet the service let you down. The lamb was cooked well and fell apart. Naan bread thin, crispy and tasty. Great flavours all round, Sadly we seemed to have been overlooked during our dining. We were offered one drink in the 1 hour and 45 minutes we sat in the restaurant. We also didn’t receive the chef’s complimentary amuse bouches, despite seeing other tables having them. We weren’t offered dessert or coffees either. Upon payment of the bill we did mention the service to the waiter, he said they were understaffed. Such a shame!

Amazing food and such lovely service

Excellent food, attentive and courteous staff and management, as the food is prepared and cooked fresh it takes a little longer than most other restaurants but well worth the wait. Going back soon to try the breakfast.

Popped in here for food one Friday lunchtime, Don’t serve food. Shame. Nice atmosphere and lots of people in!

The Pub was very helpful when booking lunch for a party of 24 for a 18th Birthday celebration. Arranged 3 Tables of 8 with pre ordered food. The party consisted of 4 family groups and some friends, from various parts of the country. The hosting was fine and the food was what could be expected from a pub menu. The following day 9 of the party went down with diarrhoea and sickness, with the only common factor being the pub and not from one family group.

Had a lovely evening for valentine's day. Clean and lovely atmosphere. Food was perfect everything was cooked to perfection. Service was excellent too food came out quick and perfectly timed. Where checked on and never left wanting for anything. Thank you

There are a lot of staff at reception who spend most of their time gossiping. I arrived 3 hours early because I’d booked a massage for the only timeslot I could get but despite me asking several times reception did absolutely nothing to try to help get my room ready early. Most hotels will call the cleaning staff to try to get the room ready early. So I sat in the lobby for 2 hours-there is nowhere else suitable to work in the hotel. The room was absolutely freezing despite setting the thermostat to 22 degrees. I accidentally left my toothbrush and toothpaste at home. Most hotels have supplies of these but here you have to pay £3 to a vending machine in the ladies toilets. Ultimately this is a glorified motel.

The food and service were very good both in quantity and and quality. The ambiance of the place was also very pleasant. Where we felt it was lacking was in the choice as the menu selection was not that great

A group of 4 of us visited. I Was the only one drinking lager, others had shorts. When I got my beer I was a little amazed that the bubbles were going from top to bottom???? and very cloudy lager. Normally bubbles from the bottom upwards do you think?? Anyway, made my way to bar to discuss this issue only to be told I was wrong and can't get a refund or replacement 🤔 This was my first pint of the day before you ask and last drink here

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the army cookhouse, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The food was not only delicious but also served with utmost precision. The service was impeccable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
