The best restaurants in Church Reading South East

Sportsman is our regular pub and we go few times a month. Their meals are lovely and they do a few offers. We love have burger wed or 2 classics deal. Services are fantastic. I have met a few ladies working and each one is friendly and caring. Food served quickly even on busy days. We sometimes sit at bar to watch a game and customers can bring their dogs in the bar area which is lovely for us dog lovers.

Generally are good but this particular time was very poor service. Phoned at 17:06 on a Tuesday. Guy said come in 10 mins. The shop was empty and there were not orders on the screen. Front staff desk need better training and had to go get the other staff who were all out the back because she couldn’t find the order. When they came, the manager said I ordered a medium and I had ordered a large. I record all my phone calls and have evidence. He was fine then charged me for a large and said he’s sorry but it’ll be an extra 4 mins. I was still waiting in the shop at 17:40. A 40 minute wait for a pizza I was told would take 10 minutes. I would understand if this was a Friday or Saturday night but a dead Tuesday, that’s poor service.

The tall guy on blue shirt. No washing hands, no gloves, handles cash with the same hand and serves customers. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. On thing I don’t understand how much can a guy talk on there phones, the guy was middle age not like he was teenagers or early 20. Long time ago I went there, that time it was slim build guy with blue shirt, he ask for cash only, I gave him, he straight away put it in his pocket 😂😂. Honestly speaking food was alright, I think the oil was old, portion size is getting smaller and customer service is bad. I don’t think this place will get any better . I still remember I used to go this place there long time ago and it was good. Stop the flipping headphones and stop talking on phone when customer around. Stop eating on the counter. Next I see these guys I definitely make a complain to council for health and safety…

Spent over 30 quid on deliveroo even added extras ect and the baguettes still felt they were under filled.. shame as it's usually good but when your spending 30 pound on a few baguettes you expect a bit more 👎

Ordered online, tracker showed delivery times which were correct. A few deals but still expensive. Chicken side- serving was tiny Pizza's weren't particularly hot Pepperoni was too spicy One pizza I'd done 3 changes (remove and adding) and only the removed bit was done so 3 toppings missing. Overall it was ok but I'd go elsewhere next time

So slow !!!! Took like 40 mins to get a simple order of hot wings and on top of that they forgot my drink , the manager then accuses me of already finishing my drink before I could inform them , food was alright although they could do much better considering the location
