Subway in Reading

Spent over 30 quid on deliveroo even added extras ect and the baguettes still felt they were under filled.. shame as it's usually good but when your spending 30 pound on a few baguettes you expect a bit more 👎

I said no need to cut off the edges because I don’t like this wasted but a roll for 4 kids meal is really short. Also I have been charged 60p just for an extra tea spoon sweet corn, the staff should let me know while I asking.

The worst subway in reading , owner always hiding special offers, customers service are terrible, people stay away from this place!!!

Great service from the staff here at Shinfield go there regularly for our salad and subs

Order with just eat always gets the order wrong.

Very difficult to explain what I required

You order a collection online in 1:05 and wait 20 minutes, you are 10th in line by 2:00 they would have finished with my request 😠🤦

All of the Subways I've visited 'round Reading have a service with a smile and very fresh food with crispy salads. The big breakfast with 2 runny poached eggs is amazing and the meat ball sub is very easy to eat no hard bits in either sub 🤤 and you can add extra eggs!

Best staff. I particularly come to this subway store leaving behind a closer one to my residence. They make the best sub, not like other stores where they don't fill the salad & sauce adequately There is limited parking in front of the store

Been a regular for years, any time of day, usually happy enough. One of my regular orders if I come in the morning is breakfast sub bacon only plus coffee if the deal is available. I get 2 slices of bacon plus cheese etc if I order bacon only or 1 slice if it’s with other things like egg/sausage. It’s more expensive of course but I’m already wondering why its less bacon for a start but I usually let that go. Recently (early 2021) i went in to order the bacon sub only to have a new face insist its 1 slice of bacon only for my usual & that it’s “always been this way” when I questioned it. Wasn’t happy with the servers stubborn attitude about it. A regular server who i knew from previously looked sheepish about it and refused back me up. Appalling. I told them no, abandoned my order & walked out. Also subway open relatively late these days for breakfast, not leaving you much time to get it it in, sunday opening is frankly a joke in particular regard to this. Actually i have never returned to subway since at any time, because the incident left a bitter taste in my mouth. Evening staff (one member of regular night staff in particular) unfailingly rude & unhelpful aswell. I got points to use so sometimes fancy a hot drink but “machine never working” (when in fact it clearly is working!). Manager aware of it numerous times but does nothing…

Not very many vegetarian options for a sub and the cheese is a v small portion, even if you double it up, still only about 2 slices of cheese!

My son ordered 2 subs and asked for brown bread ,his roll was fine ,they did not have brown sub and he couldn't see what they put in mine and they did not ask him if he'd like an alternative! Instead I just got salad in a box with 3 tiny slithers of turkey inside which I had to dig through the salad to find !! Not even enough to fill the sub ,he was still charged the same price for basically a box of salad !! Very poor service service in my opinion and I had to add my own meat to make it a meal

Hello Julie and Abi the staff who work in the restaurant have yelled at me in front of 3 people that I have to wait 10 minutes when I have been very polite asking for my order... I am a delivery rider... the manager knows me and knows that I am a very polite person... I am also working... and what cannot be allowed is that they come to yell at you like that... and tell me that if I don't like it, I should cancel the order…

This is the second occasion I have ordered from this subway with incorrect items I ordered 3 x hash browns which come in a box of 6. I have received 1 box with 3 hashbrowns inside rather than 3 boxes. Really? And when ringing the store there is no answer. Very frustrating!

Not good service... we ordered fiery grilled nachos and they were nothing like the pic.. just some nachos and cheese and sauce randomly splashed, not even baked properly...

Great value for kids food. Although prices have gone up considerably. Very disappointing that not one deliveroo driver bothered to wear a mask and was talking very close to screens.

Nothing is a problem. Bit I liked was that they repeated your order back to you, so no mistakes.

I ordered from here online. After an hour and a half of waiting. I tried to call about my order and the phone number just cut off. I would NOT recommend this store. I have now cancelled my order and gone to another.

Friendly and helpful staff. No in store seating for the time being. Quick service and social distancing measures in place. Bit sad to see the chilli bread has now gone from the menu, but overall lovely place.

Quick takeaway. Usual nice Subway experience. Service was good. Staff was helpful. Easily found parking just outside the shop.

Moderate paced service during peak hours but that's expected when the shop is a bit busier. If you're the only person in the shop you will be in and out within minutes. It is nicely situated near a Kebab shop, Sainsburys, Garage and costa coffee so you can pair your sub with some chips from the Kebab shop or get some fuel and then buy a sub.

Bad service, get wrong bread, after come back to get new sandwich been charged again and even didn’t even apologise and dirty napkins too

Excellent environment , friendly service , great Menu choices and really decent food with affordable prices . Although it’s a bit far from my place but definitely worth the journey because I can feel the different taste than other Subway 😊 Keep up the good work 👍🏼👍🏼

Taste is good only when the fresh bread is available if smell bread baking then it’s suitable to buy. Subway having monopoly in these type of sandwiches So makes way they like to. Otherwise you will find a rubber bread chicken tikka looks gooey. Sitting area needs to be cleaned and re-recorded and now sign board also shows subway with olden looks.

Can't beat a subway! I tried the steak wrap with hash browns it was gooooood! Great food as always clean tidy and really friendly staff.

Bought a chicken salad from here yesterday lunchtime. All evening and today I’ve had the most awful upset stomach, it’s not the first time I’ve had a dodgy tummy from eating here. I won’t be going back.

Been to this store on a few occasions always optimistic that they'll improve but it just isn't happening. Every time I've been there has only been 1 person on the till with a bit of a queue each time. I go the same time as it's my lunch hour and you would think they would put more staff out around that time as it's always busy. Today for instance there was a trainee only on the till and he let me know that he's been left on his own which is absolutely ridiculous however he was very polite and had good customer service. I wouldn't recommend this place until they've hired more people. Go to the one by Asda in Lower Earley...

Acceptable but rarely does it like other subways which dissappoints. Coffee is awful.

Good quality food at a reasonable price. The store is usually well stocked with the ingredients so it rarely runs out on some items. Staff are also usually quite friendly.

Fantastic venue for my lunch breaks. Great reception and service. Fussy vegan and yet manage to find a choice in Subway.
