Great asset for the village, as a local store, and very welcome break on a cycle as cafe stop. Always lovely fresh sandwiches, pies and flans and cakes, plus great coffee from the van beside.

Great food and service - the full English is well worth trying

Thank you thank you thank you. What a superb evening celebrating my daughter’s 21st. You looked after us so well and the whole experience was a joy. I do not know how you managed to get hot food out to 20 people. It tasted amazing and the service was second to none. I could but recommend this pub highly enough.

Recently reopened after refurbishment. Really smart internal deco and large dining area now. We didn't eat, but the food looked very scrummy. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be back to eat next time

Lovely small cafe with plenty of outdoor space. Friendly member of staff, coffee and cake excellent. If you are looking for Italian chocolates or biscuits, the small shop is a treat. A great start or end point for a countryside walk . Thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful pub. So cosy and friendly, like how pubs used to be. Such lovely food and brilliant relaxing atmosphere. Open fire and made us feel sooooo welcome. Best pub we've been to in years. Definitely coming back x

Food wise - This was an excellent Sunday lunch with great service and helpfulness from everyone aside from the self proclaimed owner/manager who was unfortunately behind the bar. That person, Louise, was so arrogant it was astounding. She was incapable of admitting to any error and simply nothing less than rude. It is amazing that the rest of the staff are lovely given the awful leadership under which they work. I have no idea what Louise is doing in the service business given that it makes her so miserable. You can see similar comments from David H and others also this year. What a shame. Louise should WFH and allow The Half Moon to prosper.
