Booked and paid a £30 deposit for lunch on Easter Sunday only to turn up to find the restaurant closed with a closed until further notice sign on the door. No message from them to inform us. DO Not Book with this restaurant wherever they are now.

We enjoyed a delicious and wonderful dinner here, making our Christmas Eve truly special! Sunflower's taste has never let us down. We've been coming here for a long time, and it’s still the TOP ONE🥇 in my heart. Thank you all, and Merry Christmas!

The Fordwich Arms has been on my bucket list for a little while. I used to go there when I worked in Sturry many years ago before it became famous. We booked a table for 2 via open table for lunch. Sadly, we were given a table in the bar. Generally this would be okay, but there were people just drinking on high bar stools directly in front of us (less than 2m) looking down on the table, which we both found off putting. They were quite loud. Now, generally in a pub, I wouldn’t mind that, but when you are paying £400 for a bottle of wine and a taster menu for two and a romantic meal, I don’t want people sitting at the bar staring down at me and being loud. The food itself was excellent, the Turbot and the Venison were two standout courses. Staff were attentive which was great. Wine list was good, if a little expensive. It hasn’t changed too much since the old days of being just a pub! If you book, ask for a table in the dining room, ask not to be sat in the bar and don’t leave it to chance!

Mediocre food that they managed to get wrong. Even after ringing up to say something wasn't sent they wouldn't send out another which is pretty poor and meant my wife had barely anything to eat. Not that it matters, most of it went in the bin anyway as it was fairly bland and quite dry.

We have been using this takeaway for a year or so and the food is always hot, delicious and tasty. Would highly recommend!

My wife & I love The Parrot. It is one of the oldest pubs/restaurant in Canterbury. There is a fabulous ambience that maybe due just to the age, The Parrot was established in 1370. There are wooden beams & large fireplaces. Francis & the team are friendly & welcoming, attentive but not intrusive, giving excellent service. The menu is diverse & the food is tasty & well presented. There are a fair selection of wines, spirits & beers. We are never rushed, able to relax & have a well deserved stress break in this oasis of calm in a world/city that constantly in a rush. The Parrot is so good it rates as our favourite in Canterbury.
