Sunflower in Canterbury

Always amazing food. If they were able to deliver I would likely get it far too often... Only note to remember is that they are cash only, addition of card services would be much appreciated!

Just a bit slow is my only slight gripe, I pre ordered by phone for collection ¹so I didn't have to wait but still ended up waiting over 20 minutes, had they said it'd be ready in 40 minutes that'd have been fine.

Unfortunately we had a really bad meal tonight hair in the crispy beef wrapped around it also the duck we had to wait half an hour and most of it was cold very disappointed

We always use the Sunflower, tonight was another large order for 12 people. We collected and only a short wait despite it being quite busy. Food was delicious, piping hot. Stand out dishes for our group were the chicken balls, chilli beef and satay chicken skewers.

We enjoyed a delicious and wonderful dinner here, making our Christmas Eve truly special! Sunflower's taste has never let us down. We've been coming here for a long time, and it’s still the TOP ONE🥇 in my heart. Thank you all, and Merry Christmas!

We sometimes get food from here as a treat, we live 25 mins away so it’s not often we use them, but tonight we decide to, order was 25 mins late, whilst waiting they had 3 complaints, 2 for missing food and one for delay, I get home only to find no chilli beef with my order, such a shame as the foods always lovely

It was a great experience! The food arrived hot and fresh, with generous portions and perfectly balanced flavors. The packaging kept everything in perfect shape during delivery. I’ll definitely be ordering again soon !

Ordered from here last night, and it hit the spot! The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and everything arrived quickly. I especially loved the Beef Chow mein—it was perfect. Definitely my new go-to for takeout when I’m craving Chinese ~

I just want to say that a hot Chinese meal on a cold night is really great! Thank them for starting the delivery service——it's a genius! I love everything here, and I think we will be loyal.

We come every week, and my wife says it's dark on weekends without salted pepper squid.😂😂 The good news is that they have delivery service now, but we still have to wait when they are busy on weekends, but we don't think it matters.

UPDATE FOLLOWING OWNER RESPONSE Please don't imply that you responded positively to my feedback. When we called you to say there was an issue you said you wouldn't send another out even though half of the meal wasn't edible. Pretending to have the bare minimum of customer service over a google review but not backing that up when ordering isn't really good enough. Please do better. *** ORIGINAL REVIEW Mediocre food that they managed to get wrong. Even after ringing up to say something wasn't sent they wouldn't send out another which is pretty poor and meant my wife had barely anything to eat. Not that it matters, most of it went in the bin anyway as it was fairly bland and quite dry.

What in the tax evasion is going on down here nowadays? I haven’t ordered from here for a while so didn’t realise it had new owners until seeing the reviews. I’ve paid via contactless plenty of times with the previous owners but after ordering today over the phone, I get down there to collect the food only to be told it’s cash only 🤷🏻‍♂️ I had to tell them to cancel the order as I don’t carry a bank card, so couldn’t get money out of the cash point. £30 worth of food was probably wasted. If you don’t accept card or contactless, maybe you should train your staff to tell people that before they have their time wasted.

The young girl on the phone is so blunt and rude and doesn't ask for your name so when you get there on a busier evening it's carnage trying to figure out who's is who's. Also, no good customer service when orders are given out wrong, no apology at all. Thought we would give this one a try, but in future we will go elsewhere

Really is the best Chinese in Canterbury. Affordable, piping hot and real quality food. Will not go anywhere else and will recommend them to anybody.

Found out after purchasing its under new ownership. Quality of food was extremely low. Greasy and extremely salty. Not nice at all. Shame was a family favourite. Won’t be going back.

If I could give a higher rating than 5 stars I would. Sunflower is the best Chinese I have ever eaten at, and is the reason we have it so regularly. The food is exceptional every time. Really reasonably priced and great service. Love it!

Food is ok. Customer service is pretty basic.Been here many times over the years and never seen a smile and or been asked how my day was etc. The last nail in the coffin was when I last placed an order I was told cash only so had to get £20 out for a £13 order next door which I was also charged for. Whilst I was waiting for my food another customer came in who had presumably placed an order over the phone. They was asked have they got cash to which they replied no. The lady behind the counter then produced a card machine. Shocking service. Will never come back.

Best Chinese takeaway in the area

Just moved to the area, and very glad this is my local Chinese, my order was crispy shredded beef, beef fried rice chicken satay & sweet & sour chicken balls. Food was ready at arranged time, very hot and food was faultless, rice was fluffy, beef crispy but not hard, chicken balls was not like dough...satay tasty not over the top, all food was 100% staff friendly...6 star rating from me.

How lucky we are to have such a wonderful Chinese in the Sturry and surrounding areas. Always welcoming, great service and best of all fantastic food, great value.

Pretty average Chinese takeaway like many others. Average pricing.

Normally love getting Chinese from here , but I live 15-20 mins away , went there to pick up they forgot the main thing I orderd , and the rice was crunchy and hard

I’ve been using sunflower for years but my last two experiences the food was not at the same quality. The chicken satay was extremely chewy, and the chilli beef tasted hollow and again a chewy consistency. After a couple of bites we left the meat dishes and stuck to the veg. Disappointed really.

Had our first takeaway from here the other week and it is by far one of the best we have had in a while. We will definitely be returning 😁

Special fried rice was bland and there was nothing special about it. Pork curry was also bland too....rubbish!!

If you like veg eat it cause there is no meat there
